@TheLovesoul1 well, consider the concept of infinity. No edges, no borders, going on forever, absolutely everywhere. Nothing else can exist other than infinity can there? or it wouldn't be infinity. In other words, there can't be a 2nd Thing.
there can be only one absolute infinity. That means there's only room for the number 1, and that 1 thing goes on forever everywhere, see? There can't be a 2nd thing. or it would prove that the 1st thing is FINITE, not infinite.
@TheLovesoul1 you're right, there's only a 'thing' if there's a 2nd thing. That 2nd thing defines 'infinity' as a '1st thing'. The infinite therefore becomes definite instead. infinity cannot be defined BY a '2nd thing', and so infinity cannot be defined AS a thing.
This was my 1st point in the beginning.
Infinity is endlessness itself, an abstraction, a concept, an absolute, propertyless singularity.
As for consciousness, it just means 'awareness', and it doesn't even last in dreamless slep
@natmanprime actually it does awareness last throughout sleep and even death i don't know what your talking about but i am aware of my self not the world but me when i sleep and die the world and you will dissovle in me and be no more untile i decide to go bakc to sleep again.
@natmanprime none taken just a misunderstanding on your part i know that i am one with all of creation you and everthing else we are the same just different vessels for the same soul in essence all is one in you and me i had a death experience were i was i complete darkness no light no body i know this because i felt completely hollow and empty then i saw a lightit exspanded into me and i into it that what i mean have you ever heared that theres only one of us neale donald walsch knew
@TheLovesoul1 again, this is egocentric. If you felt hollow then you were feeling something. You were not feeling anything in dreamless sleep or before conception.
I am sure I won't dissolve in you when you die.
Plenty of people die, and I'm still here.
you clearly said I will dissolve in you when you die.
If there's any misunderstanding it's because you've not expressed yourself properly.
@TheLovesoul1 Now, that infinity has to UNDERLIE everything, or how can any material exist? You can't have 2 materials in the same place at the same time so the infinity underlying the material is immaterial.
Now, a living being has alot of information focusing in on 1 point in the brain. If you keep 'zooming in' on that point you reach the quantum level, where everythings immaterial and abstract. At that point you find abstractions (like numbers), and the common denominator of numbers is 1.
@TheLovesoul1 No, it means the substance that you're made of is infinite.
For example, 'you' are the self of a human now. When you die, it's like dreamless sleep, no time/space passes. You are born as the self of a fruitfly, a dog, etc. Different beings, different selves, but the *material* the self is made of is the same infinity.
this infinity is static and absolute.
'You' are a particular arrangement of infinity, you exist indefinitely.
First of all I don't think this is a stupid question at all as you will find that we are all asking similar questions and "splitting hair in four"...
My answer is that the "I" is a composite of being just like the Ego is a part of Being. Eckart Tolle as also expand on this concept. But who am I to say ?
The 'I' is infinity, represented by the nuber 1.
why?
because 1 is the only number that can exist in infinity.

@natmanprime what doe that mean sometimes i feel like i'm the only one here.

@natmanprime and infinity isn't a endless version of something.
and there is no "thing" there.

@natmanprime but you can still know you exist or that there's a presence.
a presence without quality's or form
TheLovesoul1 1 year ago
@TheLovesoul1 that is the self, all beings have the same self, but different consciousnesses.
being and consiousness have qualities, the self has none.

@TheLovesoul1 so are you different from everyone else?
Do you dissolve in another person when they die?
So why do expect us to dissolve in you?
Are you telling me that you are aware in dreamless sleep?
What on earth are you talking about?

@TheLovesoul1 I'm afraid this is egocentric thinking on your part
no offence

'you' can die.
You destroy a car, the metal remains.

@natmanprime i know my personality and mind will die but i won't and by i i mean my consciousness.

your personality and bod die when your time is up here.
i'll explain further if you want.

We exist, within our own individual concepts.

Is the "I" attached to being? Sounds like a stupid question. But I want to know. Thanks.
