I moved to the Cape from a city/state capitol out west, and I hate to break it to all the Cape 'haters' - it's equally as 'boring' being a kid in the city. You'd be MORE restricted there, because you have 10x the weirdos for your parents to worry about. I currently live on Cape Cod and I can't picture a time when I don't live on the Cape. I keep saying that I'm going to live in Vermont or Maryland, but I only see myself on the Cape.
I grew up on Cape Cod and Love it there. You are the type of person that would not appreciate any place that you live. You are blessed to have a mom that cares about you as she does. She has every right to 'be up in your business' because with your attitude you would obviously go and do something stupid that you would later regret.
What an idiot. I grew up in a resort area. To me it was a nice place to grow up, but to me it wasn't anything special. In the summer hundreds of thousands of people came to vacation there. I couldn't see what the big deal was, but I guess if you didn't live there it was a big deal.
I grew up on the Cape, too. My weekends in middle and high school were largely about going bowling, catching a movie, or grabbing a bite at IHOP with my friends, so I suppose it wasn't the most exciting of places for a teenager. But this isn't a problem with the Cape - this is just what living in a semi-rural area involves. Basically, sorry you don't live in a city instead, kiddo, but you're describing the normal suburban teenage experience. Boo hoo.
I've lived on the Cape for 2 years! I love it, but I want to go there just for vacation in the summer or for a 1 hour walk on beach in the winter! There is nothing to do there for teen. I You can see bunch of them in the mall every single day, just hanging around, doing nothing.
It is boring in the winter, and it is cold and windy. But I love it anyway. Any time of the year.

And theres alot of places that I hate on the cape such as Hyannis it pretty much is a ghetto, it as alot of riff raff and its a pretty crappy town in my opinion. I live a mile away from Reselleh. For me, Cape Cod isn't boring at all. It's awesome, because you can walk wherever you want to and such. Everything is really close by, and there's still a lot of creeks and parks. I can't go to the park alone either, but what's wrong with going with an adult?
Plus, someone said that Cape Cod is only for people with money, and I have barely any money. I still find a lot of things to do, even in the winter. And I like my school, thanks.

What an idiot. I grew up in a resort area. To me it was a nice place to grow up, but to me it wasn't anything special. In the summer hundreds of thousands of people came to vacation there. I couldn't see what the big deal was, but I guess if you didn't live there it was a big deal.

I grew up on the Cape, too. My weekends in middle and high school were largely about going bowling, catching a movie, or grabbing a bite at IHOP with my friends, so I suppose it wasn't the most exciting of places for a teenager. But this isn't a problem with the Cape - this is just what living in a semi-rural area involves. Basically, sorry you don't live in a city instead, kiddo, but you're describing the normal suburban teenage experience. Boo hoo.

I've lived on the Cape for 2 years! I love it, but I want to go there just for vacation in the summer or for a 1 hour walk on beach in the winter! There is nothing to do there for teen. I You can see bunch of them in the mall every single day, just hanging around, doing nothing.
It is boring in the winter, and it is cold and windy. But I love it anyway. Any time of the year.

Hey im from the cape and she is right. I mean in the summers its a wonderful place beaches, stores, travel. But to live there full time especially in the winter it sucks. And theres alot of places that I hate on the cape such as Hyannis it pretty much is a ghetto, it as alot of riff raff and its a pretty crappy town in my opinion. Even in vampire weekends song it says Hyannis port is a ghetto lol. But its not all bad. Im from south dennis.

Once the winter rolls in and all you tourists leave there is absolutely NOTHING for us to do. and NO there isn't "about a million things to do" in the summer, Because by the age of 4 we've basically done it all.

I can relate! I had friends who could not wait 2 get off the Cape. I know others my age who can't wait 2 get back on. Trust me she will change after she sees whats out there. Like they say it's not greener on the other side. But I understand her @ her age. She is right! lol & I would be as protected as her mother. I live a mile away from Reselleh. For me, Cape Cod isn't boring at all. It's awesome, because you can walk wherever you want to and such. Everything is really close by, and there's still a lot of creeks and parks. I can't go to the park alone either, but what's wrong with going with an adult?
Plus, someone said that Cape Cod is only for people with money, and I have barely any money. I still find a lot of things to do, even in the winter. And I like my school, thanks.
