  • Imagine being down there and all the lights die out

  • Chuck Norris could do this only with a straw...:|

  • Song?? Kind of sounds like an Edmund Fitzgerald instrumental?

  • Great skills and great camera work & lighting, well done guys!

  • I did this dive at my visit to Mexico, most awesome dive! The water is so clear, because it's mostly rain water.

  • @klarkolofsson how long does this dive take and how deep?

    Looks like an amazing dive.

  • @thestamed Our dive was about 40 min but its maximum length was 50, we had to end it because of a dive buddy going out of air. I don't really remember the depth, not deep at all I guess, 10 meters at max.

  • watching sanctum aged me by 10 years or more...so stressed during the movie...i might sue LOL :P

  • Ive seen enough horror movies to know not to try this...

  • i would never trust myself doing this - it would scare the shit out of me!!!

  • name of the song used for background?? please, answer :)

    youtube.com/watch?v=yvRi_Hf4ST8

  • Vc é corajoso.....viajei junto com vc, nesta sua aventura ......foi lindo!!!!

  • thats dangerous

  • супер!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The movie sanctum brought me here...

  • i saw the movie sanctum and after that im never going cave diving only open water probubly

  • the name of the song?

  • super beau :!

  • Where is it exactly located?

  • I Want to go

  • man i would not want to have a panic attack there !

  • any monsters?

  • @Vziera yes there are mosnters in cave diving.....wild animals that will perce your wet suit and cause all the air close to your skin keeping you warm to not exist and for you to freeze to death! Oh and there have been reports of people trailing off from the team and never coming back....

  • @SPINO495

Really? What animals? Oh, and with wet suits there is no air between the suit and your skin. They keep you warm by decreasing the through flow of water. Stop bullshitting, kid.

  • @skulleton like , this scorpion/shrimp like thing that has sharp claws and mulesks z stuff oh and "n the case of a wetsuit, the suit is designed to minimize heat loss. Wetsuits are usually made of neoprene that has small closed gas cells, generally nitrogen, trapped in it during the manufacturing process."

  • @skulleton "n the case of a wetsuit, the suit is designed to minimize heat loss. Wetsuits are usually made of neoprene that has small closed gas cells, generally nitrogen, trapped in it during the manufacturing process." and this shrimp/scarpion like creature , muleks, n stuff idk...sharks.....

  • @SPINO495

The material has CLOSED gas cells to increase it's volume and thus it's buoyancy. Shrimps are not dangerous in the least. Occasionally there are shark caves, but generally you would not enter those. The biggest threat to a cave divers comes from the overhead environment, where direct ascent is not possible.

  • @skulleton Ehm, you think the neoprene has the closed gas cells to increase it's volume and buoyancy????? Why the hell would that be helpful? Rather have a wetsuit that is constanty neutral buoyant, much easier to dive in. Air, or nitrogen gas in this instance is a bad conductor of heat, meaning: insulation. So the gas cells are there to make the material more insulant = keep you warm. Why the hell would anyone want more volume????????

  • Comment removed

  • @Raikara

If it didn't have these gas cells it would be negatively buoyant; instead it is positively buoyant. Wet suits do not insulate, only dry suits.

    @SPINO495

Also, I'd like you to explain how cave-shrimps pose a serious threat to divers. I'm pretty sure they are completely harmless.

  • Very,very beatiful !!

  • just watched the movie Sanctum....anyone who does this is crazy lol

  • One more thing I'm adding to the list of what I never want to do!

  • My husband was in the other room and asked me what I was watching because he like the music...This is really lovely and the music is indeed sublime...Thanks!

  • So clear and beautiful. Just spectacular. I'd love to see a map of this cave system.

  • Anyone read inca gold by clive cussler? this reminds me of the book!:)

  • i have three words!... WERE-IS-IT?!?!?!

  • The divers are not using guiding lines. how so ?

  • @watchingandthinking They are using lines. You can see them here and there throughout the dive

  • Beautiful images. I have the utmost respect for cave divers. Done it myself, but not thru very small restrictions. Worst I'll do is wreck penetration!

  • this is how Sactum should have looked...

    great dive guys, wonderful images

  • Whats the name of the song !!! Its really NICE !!!

  • if you have a problemb with your regulator or your tank valve or somthing your screwed in open water you can just suck the air out of your bc and swim up

  • Beautiful yes, but I decided I'm going to stick with my open water dives.

  • One of my favorite YouTube videos! I keep on coming back to view it again and again! I love the incredible definition this is filmed in! Fabulous record of your dive!!!

  • Funny how this is the most dangerous sport in the world.

  • @rubenhoed no its not

  • Hacer buceo en cavernas es fantástico ,surrealista y peligroso. Es un privilegio haberlo vivido, y México me brindo esa maravillosa experiencia.

  • very poor diving technique, touching everithing with the left hand, what a shame.....

  • @235111owi What's wrong with doing that?

  • i want do that how can i do ?

  • @younosss u need to get certified, so go to your local Padi or naui scuba shop adn ask them and take the open water certification adn move your way up... =) good luck....

  • dam that looks fun, but it looks dangerous.

  • I would so do that given the opportunity. I'm guessing the string is just so you don't get lost?

  • Song is Vangelis: Song of the Seas.

  • I envy you so:(

  • fuck that shit

  • im waitin for some satanic fish or some shit to fly round the damn corner

  • looks like diving through a smoker's lungs

  • People affected by claustrophobia comes a truly wonderful moments!

  • VIVA MEXICO! such a beautiful country with great people!

    proud to be MEXICANO!

  • so amazing but i would NEVER do it haha

  • the layer of the mega dolphin

  • wow I love it

    Sławek Paćko - Polish! - I'm Polish 2 !

    super scary and beautiful vid

  • this is amazing

  • visivbiltiy sucks

    at the beggining*

*i know it is spelt wrong

  • visivbiltiy sucks

  • excellent lighting! You really did a great job

  • i get a panic attack just watching. lol

  • @scraplife Who said I support street racing?

  • @motogpfan1Do you honestly mean to tell me that no trained cave diver who followed protocol has ever died? That every death is always a diver who goes into caves untrained? When untrained divers die, it is still cave diving they die from, you idiot.

  • @iDiveDOTtv Eleven days solid for a dangerous life risking sport. Wow, I'm impressed! More people may die in car accidents than cave diving. But there are many more people who drive than those who do cave diving. Compare the number of dead to the number who participate. Asshole.

  • Fascinating! I like exploring caves and diving, is spite I've never done that. Cave diving seems to be much more interesting than plain speleology and diving, doesn't it

  • Anybody know the music used in this?

  • @DreamsSheep Hey buddy, if you really want to do this, I strongly suggest you don't make any rash decisions. Read up on how many people die because of cave diving each year first.

  • @concordesm2010 You know how many teenagers die each year from street racing? Why not go shit on their parade too?

  • @concordesm2010 mate, you're the asshole. Read up and you'll find that out of trained cave divers the stats aren't bad at all! Untrained cave divers are the main statistic and who can stop someone doing it....... more people die in car accidents QUICK STOP DRIVING... ASS-HOLE and who are you to spout your wisdom anyway, bet you know shit all about cave diving and the techniques involved and the training involved (11 days solid)

  • I don't give a crap how beautiful this is. There is nothing beautiful about the fact that so many people die because of cave diving every year. Don't you guys who go cave diving realize how dangerous it is for you? Don't you realize that by doing this, and worse still posting it, you are encouraging other people to do it an are hence endangering their lives? Assholes.

  • @concordesm2010 It's not the cave diving that kills people you idiot, it's divers that go into caves untrained. A trained cave diver that follow protocol will always surface alive. Do some research before you spew arrogant crap.

  • This is amazing...

  • This is one of my favorite videos on YouTube... I keep on coming back to watch it every so often! I love the underwater beauty of these caverns and the high definition brings it all to life, right on my own computer screen! What a dream of an adventure; exploring these secret, long-submerged limestone corridors with all the magic of a fantasy world... right out of the pages of a Jules Verne novel!

"Journey to the Center of the Sacred Cenote!"

  • i wanna do this!

  • kudo's to you, I would never have the guts to do this.

  • Great stuff!

  • Hey, is this your video? Like, you in it?

  • really beautiful...

  • trochę ciasno, ale i tak zajebiście!

  • really amazing

  • what a 'privelidged view! ..a secret world, that few ever get too see. beautiful!

  • wow! hope to cave dive like you in my diving future ;)

  • claustrophobic! lol

  • I liked the video, super clear water ...

  • how can they get back from the surface?

  • gnomes live there

  • you should try to catch animals and stuff like that while down there, would be invaluable to get those categorized.

  • @bosnia91 Just leave them alone.

  • @bosnia91

No animals in there. Nothing except anaerobic bacteria lives there.

  • @bluenina there is probably some fish species atlest. Documenting new species is very interesting imo.

  • @bluenina at 1:23 a fish swims by.

  • @LamboK28992

That's because the fish often follow the diver's light inside. This poses quite a problem, because the fish aren't supposed to be in there and they can change the cave eco system and configuration.

  • Absoultely beautiful. Thanks for uploading this. It's a wonderful feeling doing this kind of activity. No problems with any silt, as this cave is crystal clear. Still a saviour line should be used to get back where you came from. Thanks once again, absoultely beautiful.

  • OMG CRAWLERS LOLOLOLOLOL

  • THIS IS ME

  • i would dive any puddle in the world

  • that would suck if you got deep in and ran out of air dang that would be painful not being able to breath and drown

  • Amazing these are brave men and women !

  • cave diving and hazmat diving are the most dangerous types, cave diving is hazourdous mainly because u cant get to the surface going vertically but what makes it most horrible for me anyway is that if hug the edges of the cave you can get pulled through a suction vacume and get trapped in a tiny sub-cave that slowly fills with water and its almost impossible to get out :P

  • @zakzak09 really? sounds scary

  • This is wonderfull but I dont want to imagine if you run out of oxygen.

  • i swear to god im gona dive this cave

  • love this fucking vidio.........fuck

  • beautiful but i think it would creep me out

  • yeahh i love MExico

  • thanks for sharing..... totally out of this world lol :)

  • incredible! that is truly beautiful diving.

  • holy Quran. Al-Furqan 53

And it is He Who has let free the two seas (kinds of water), one palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter, and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them.

  • in surah ar rahman too, chapter 55 verse 19-20

  • The idea for this sport came as somebody was disposing of a body. Take all the regular hazards of diving (itself a dangerous activity), and add exploring uncharted territory, freezing temperatures, low-visibility conditions, and cramped quarters. And dont forget that ticking clock on your air supply—you cant just go up to breathe (risking the bends). On top of that, its still a wilderness experience, and some of the caves actually have wild animals living in them.

  • how do they get down into the hole in teh start

  • Very nice!

I have to got to QR again!!!

Last time I was in Calima we came from Grand Cenote and we had a real "traffic jam" in Boa-restriction. A group of 7 or 8 divers wanted to go in and we wanted to go out... We took a small look around Calimba and went back... Nice trip I like to remeber - Thx for the video!

  • wow!

  • beautiful

  • love it

  • sweet

  • this is who I am

  • love this vidio

  • a high quality video!

unfortunately too many divers have been there, it isn`t like 10 years ago.

to all cave diver`s who visit the caves of yucatan: dive safely and don`t touch anything with your hands! thanks.

  • that looks kind of scary

  • @starburstmeganx3 You will find that cave diving is a bit scary as you first learn; start by taking a cavern course (natural light), then guided dives, then if you find it clicks for you sign up for a cave class, which requires a lot of classroom time. After you have your full cave certification and are comfortable with the gear and environment, cave diving is addicting.

  • god please let me be there

  • the only place in world i want to be

  • i love diving......this is forever

  • i love this dive

  • This is one of the things i want to do before i die..this looks so amazing

  • yeah why thumbs down. sure they dumbs down because they missed thats all!^^

  • im a cave fighter fine me on you tube micky bolton the cave man, i love this fucking shit

  • damn....i love it....almost as good as sex

  • @jurgenmanfred : Sex is overrated. It's kinda like air, it only matters if you're not getting any. This is much better. Unearthly experience.

BTW: what's the name of this song?

  • Please keep posting your cenote dive adventures here on YouTube! The High Quality picture and color are absolutely breathtaking! I will never have a chance to see these incredible environments in person, but your videos clearly give one a memorable experience just by watching! The abundance of stalactites, stalagmites, floqwstone and the huge columns give the appearance of a fantasy world come to life!

  • These guys are terrible! How many times did they touch the delicate formations. If your buoyancy is this crappy, STAY OUT OF THE DELICATE CAVES!!! Stick to the training caves till you get better.

  • actually this dude is right.........why the thumbs down??

  • didn't have enough money to this dive, but did Calavera, Gran cenote and Angelita in Tulum mexico, well what can i say its like in ths vid, jus awsome can wait to get back in2 that world love, thanx for sharing this vids :-)

  • are you searching for INCA relics ?

  • oh My God this is one of my dreams....the bad thing is that Im not even a scuba diver hahahaha, but I will learn, and then I will do this ...for sure :D

  • I dont know how these people do this but i do know they are very very brave=]

  • reminds me of ninja turtles for nintendo, the level where your in the water defusing the bombs. looks just like this

  • As fas as I know there are only two or three places like these mexican cenotes in the world, recently I saw a documentary from the animal planet saying that there are a lot more to be explore yet in the Yucatan peninsula.

It's well known that it's kind of dangerous to dive in these caves but if you do it with an expertee and follow all his instructions then it's safe.

I think it's worth trying anyway.

    Greetings from Acapulco, Mexico!!!

  • This is the ultimate, the essence of exploration. Following the paths of true exporers into a once unknown. The anticipation is unexplainable! My next step in life is to get there, all the way from Australia to Mexico before the end of 2010. Can reccommend any great spots and diver centres who do this?

  • Im in Tulum right now diving at Xibalba dive centre with Robbie Schmittner, been here for 3 weeks diving, did my course here. Its the absolute shit dude, not looking forward to going back to Australia at all.

Just did a 2 stage cylinder dive today with 82 minutes penetration, its off its tits.

Just search for Robbie >Schmittner here on youtube or xibalba dive centre on google. They have a new hotel etc.

    Robbie is a great bloke.

  • Someone please tell me what the music is and who the musicians are behind the video

  • Vangelis...I think from the album Oceanic.

  • Thanks! I have been wanting to get the music minus the breathing noise. It is 'Song of the sea's' Available else where on youtube

  • looks like the goal of the girl with yellow wet suit is don't leave any speleotheme untouched with her left hand, bad habit.

    david

  • looks like fun!

  • the staligmites mean this was once a water free cave

  • im beginning to understand why people cave dive now...

  • ohh man that´s cool! I must go there!:D

  • and get swine flu!

  • Oh wow.

  • i watch this clip every day with out fail an is the reason i was put on this earth to some day dive this magical site could you tell me the depth on avarage

  • i would love to die there

  • this is me

  • so many things can go wrong...but what the fuck

  • hehe, yep

  • sweeeeet

  • Awesome!

  • truley love it

  • Oh boy do I remember that cenote from last month!! Restriction city! Learned a lot during that dive.

  • Absolutely awesome and the music great too.

  • I've watched and listened to this several times the music really grabs you. It is all topped off by the happy face at the end. Is she a Cave angel? Truly awesome!

  • convert it to wmv with 'any video converter' It makes it slightly clearer

  • Awesome and nice music

  • this is me...absolutely

  • love
