What A beautiful memorial to a loving family member. I lost my Sheltie shortly after you lost your Aussie, also to cancer. He was only 9.....we were connected at the hip and I don't know if I'll ever quite get over losing him. I'm sure your beautiful Nova knew you adored her!!
I don't know if you are still getting comments. We just put down our 13 year old aussie boy, Junior. Still grieving so much, along with our aussie/germshep mix, Casey. Our animals give us so much--- all without condition or reservation. I wish we had more time with them, but the time they are here is magical. I hope there is another Nova in your life. "Dogs fill the empty holes in our lives that we don't even know we have."
So sorry to see your loss and thank you for sharing your grief. I feel great empathy as I lost my beloved border collie Kim 7 years ago and miss her very much. Not long after she died I was fortunate in that the local council dog warden needed to rehome a border collie and an "Aussie" both of whom are very affectionate. After watching your video and others I make sure they both get lots of extra cuddles as time slips by so quickly and before you know it they are gone.

I had to put my BEAUTIFUL Kilee Ann down this Tuesday. I can NOT stop crying. I am not a crier, but EVERYTHING reminds me of her. We had 9 years and 1 month together before she blew out both of her back knees and there was nothing we could do. Lord, I miss that little blue dog.

Both breeds have their wonderful qualities. If you like a loyal, devoted, kind-natured dog, I recommend goldens. If you like an active, intelligent, happy breed, aussies are great dogs. We got lucky with our blue dog. She was sweet, loving, athletic, and beautiful!
first of all, nice name. australian shepherds are AMAZING dogs so i would choose aussies in a heartbeat. they are VERY protective and GREAT watchdogs. they are so great with kids, too. aussies are just all out family dogs who LOOOOOVE attention. AUSSIES ALL THE WAY :)

Lost my Blue couple of years ago. He was a border blue healer mix. Just as special as yours. I since after got a rescued aussie mix that has become my camping canoe dog. Her name is Willow. Never replaced blue, but gave me a best friend again. She is wonderful in her own very different way. It was god sent.
My sherman just passed this monday. She was four yrs. old going on 5. She was a blue merle, but she had autoimmune disease. I loved my aussie, and I understand your loss. I'm looking for another one, because they are the best dogs ever.

Your Video made me cry - I had to put down my 8-year-old deaf dog, Blue Bell, in December - Just about killed me. You have inspired me to do a like memorial. My other dog, Bea, was mourning heavily and had developed a lick spot that was raw and out of control. I have adopted a husky border collie mix puppy through PetFinder. She, Bella Blue, came from ICARE in Arkansas and was transported up to N.H. where I live. Bea's lick spot has healed since Bella's arrival, and they are inseparable.
My heart breaks for you and Bea. Blue Bell sounds like she was loved very much. Was she a white factored Aussie? I know deaf dogs sometimes turn out to be very amazing animals that bond closely, but it takes special people to adopt deaf dogs. Thank you for your comment.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It was a lovely video. and Nova was beautiful. I lost my great pyrenees, Malcolm, to osteosarcoma last year and my heart goes out to you.

I am sorry. My sister just lost her dog to that dog food poisoning a while back. It wasnt my dog, but it was still very hard for me. 10 year old chocolate female lab named Molly. Watching this brought up a lot of emotions.
