  • PROTEGO! PROTEGO! PROTEGO!

  • so what you're trying to say, Mountain Dew, is that your product is a surprising weapon? now that's a drink i would buy

  • Nobody f**** with me when I show them my yo-yo in my yo-yo sheath on my hip, nobody.....

  • i keep laughing never gets old

  • cant stop watching

  • =)))))

  • 0:31 Patrick mitchell gangsta style ;)

  • GO PATRICK MITCHELL!

  • Around the World to your dome, b****!

  • хахахах

  • isthat pat mitchel?

  • that looked like pat mitchell at the yoyo dealing part

  • imma be a yo-yo weapons arm dealer now.

  • joe is funny ha ha ha

  • lmfao I wish yo yos replaced guns.

  • Man robbed at Yoyopoint

  • Who the hell is Joe Hursley?

  • 0:30 Was that Patrick Mitchell?

  • NOTE: There 2A YoYos.

  • The Yo-yo originated as a weapon in the Philippines.

  • Too bad mountain dew is made for obese WoW freaks living in their parents basement.

  • It was a hunting tool. Hunter would wait in a tree for an animal to walk by, and used a rock secured to a string or rope, attempt to hit the animal in the head, if he miss he just pulled on the rope instead of having to climb down and then back up.

  • jajaja

  • wat was the black yoyo?

  • @thetruemaxgoof

    black version of milk

  • hela funny

  • Sweet Commercial! I've recently switched to Diet Mtn. Dew instead of regular Dew. Also, haven't used a yo-yo for years not since I left the 12th Street Yo-Yo Gang. (Oops! Did I say that out loud?)

  • old women got skills :)

  • i don't care where the heck yo-yo came from. the thing is, this commercial is really funny. :)

  • Anyone who THINKS a yo-yo was invented to be used as a weapon is an IDIOT. Why don't you do a little research before making yourself look like an ass.

The yo-yo originated in Greece....it dates back to 250B.C. ....It is the second oldest toy known. (The oldest toy is the doll).

  • fuck yes.

  • Thanks to Stumbleupon I just found this video and LMAO

  • Definitely was not invented to be a weapon. Actually it was a toy for children in China. NIce comercial though

  • imagine Chuck Norris with one

  • The yo-yo was NOT invented as a weapon. Donald Duncan, Sr. fabricated that story to add mystique to the product. A couple people may have attempted to use them as weapons, but failed miserably. FACT: Nobody knows when or where the yo-yo was invented. However, they have been depicted on Grecian urns as far back as 500 BC.

  • Guy at 0:31 in the wife beater looks like Edward Norton

  • @SchizophrenicToaster exactly what I thought.

  • YO-YO!!!!!!!!!

  • It's history does show earliest examples in China in the form of the Diabolo but it -was not- used as a weapon in the Philippines. That is a marketing ploy from when Donald Duncan bought Pedro Flores's yo-yo company back in the early 1900's.

  • wtf! that had nothing to do with mountain dew!

  • I like the mafia scene

  • What does this have to do with mountain dew??

  • @TheSpyTF2 Seriously? You really missed the point to all this? It's called "Not thinking it through." Most folks about 90% of people don't or didn't realize that yo-yo's were invented as a form of weapon. Also most folks don't realize that Diet Mountain Dew has all the great taste but zero calories compared to regular dew.

  • @NineTailsDemonFox Quite a mouthfull... But at least you answered the question.

  • Blah blah blah who cares if it's true or not. This commercial is amazing. XD

  • put some razor sharp blades on that yoyo and we'll see whose laughing mountain Dew

  • It wasnt used as a weapon. The performers in the early 30s used this lie to get bigger crowds

  • too bad this fact is pure bull.

  • @GavinOFerrell it was used as a weapon. but it was mainly used by hunters to kill low flying birds in the jungle.

  • is mountain dew alcohol are fizzy pop (soada) cuz im from UK

  • diet and rugular mountain dew do not taste the same regular better diet worse

  • protip: that was a 3yo3 cosmo in the video, the greatest yoyo EVER!!

  • I think the yoyo that was dropped on the ground was a black Yoyofactory 888. Looked like it had hubstacks.

  • it was a black milk :P

its funny cuz that guy looks like paul yath

  • that guy is paul yath haha.

Farah Sigel at 0:20 and Patrick mitchell is at 0:30

    YEAH, WHITE GOLD! 00:41

  • lmfao!! wicked commer.

  • Technically, it was a toy from medieval China, but in the Philippines it became used as a weapon. In many martial arts, everyday objects like staffs, chains, farming implements, and ropes can be adapted as lethal weapons.

  • Imagine having to have a yo-yo permit... Or having politicians who are Pro-Yo-Yo Control. Or back in the fifth grade when yo-yos became popular and all the kids brought them to school. The world would have been a better place if yo-yos remained weapons. Thanks alot Duncan.

  • LMAOOOOOOO

that was hilarious, my face hurts now.

  • by the chinese pendejo

    research it before you talk

  • the yoyo is usually credited to the pinoy do.

  • no acctually it is a real fact in the Philippines back then they were used as weapons and much different from todays yoyos they were made of wood, bigger and the rope was thicker so make sure your facts are clear and can be supported before you say it with so much confidence >:(

  • YO?

    yo....

  • they should of use that in WW2 XD

  • actually, yo-yos WERE invented as weapons. it was a hunting weapon real long time agoxD.

  • You are retarded. If you had actually SEEN the commercial on t.v, it says at the end that it was invented as a weapon.

  • your a fucking idiot, they were invented for use of a weapon.

  • "no dinero" -hits-

    LMAO

  • lol"HES GOT A YO-YO"

  • let put it this way... The hole commercial is the best part lol

  • We're doing good if a DRINK maker films a commercial that laughs WITH the gun control debate and makes the anti gun woman look like an unreasonable bitch. I don't see the gun ban groups playing THIS video on their websites anytime soon. lol This is probably because Dew is mostly marketed to guys and we guys tend to get protective when it comes to our guns (or in this case yo yos).

  • so true. nice to see a company that isnt afraid to stray from the norm.
