Where is his data to back up how prevalent certain ideas are in the republican and democratic parties? Why is political moderation such a good thing? Some of the best ideas are on the outskirts of both movements. I would have more respect for the democrats if there were more truthers in their ranks, and the white house has deliberately acted suspicious on the birth certificate issue. So of course the right is going to call them on their b.s.

Initially I thought the birthers were racists, but even I know enough about photoshop to realize the white house released a fraudulent document as his birth certificate. Certainly, they could have fooled me, so it seems the white house has played an equal part in creating this controversy. As a result the democrat base is engaged in equally silly counter attacks against the tea party. Unfortunately they are right and there is fraud, and the left can no longer maintain higher moral ground.

I really respect Greenwald because he is unbending on his principles. There are some others, but so many lefties who railed against Bush are squarely behind Obama doing the same thing. And GG calls them out just like he called the Republicans out. He's been great on the Awlaki murder...

Glenn Greenwald could argue anything and make me believe it :) He makes good points. I think political satire in general might not be beneficial to society since the shows don't address big issues enough (let's take the time criticize what Fox News had to say) and when they do they tend to lighten the issues when they should be taken seriously. When you have a public that reads on average 4 books a year (fiction mostly) it's not surprising his program is so popular.
