@connecttokan well yes you can see a good improvement if your overclock is solid and stable...yes. i could see an improvement on the framerates( avout 4-6 more) and in the scenery distance i guess, the world had more houses trees.. texture etc...
@pricelessppp i lock it on fsx settings at 30 fps, i used to set to unlimited but makes no sense because fsx will waste resources and precious cpu load. answering directly to your question: i do have 30 constant frames per second
can you post your computer specs please?? Im not a computer (genouis) so i need to know whats the cpu? like where can i find that on the computer to know how much cpu it has?
Very nice detail. I notice some slight jerky stutters in Spot View though - which FSX is famous for. It seems even high end computers like yours cant overcome the FSX spot view glitch.
Maybe in 2020 computers WILL be powerful enough for FSX totally smooooooth :-)
Overclocking cause fatal bsod errors on FSX when you change the speed of simulator such as running over 4.0GHZ and setting FSX simulator speed as 16x will eventually causes fatal error on the fsx. You may go over 4.0 GHZ but then you should not use fsx simulator speeds. I had this experience long time, it is not happening on every flight but sometimes it does so you become a crazy especially on long flights. That is why I set my cpu as a default which is 3.8 with turbo.
what's the point in making the CPU that high. I mean I've seen other Youtube users have better FPS than this and they are in the high 2Ghz or low 3Ghz.
@Dance2Trance22 are you serious? whats the point? is just...everything when comes to fsx performance, you say that " other Youtube users have better FPS than this and they are in the high 2Ghz or low 3Ghz" .. where do you see a pc at 2ghz get a stable and smooth performance when all settings are at max? you just dont know what you talking about and i lost 2 minutes of my time...lol. later
@guitargamery wow..you're a real douchebag..unsubscribed with passion. That's how you "reply" to people? Dude, get a life instead of making arguments on the computer for REAL.
@guitargamery Ur wrong big time. The processor makes the hard codes and numbers calculate and then transforming them in to the results you make when your doing with hard PROGRAMS (not games).
The graphics card on the other hand processes pixels and sends them to you monitor, the faster those pixels are transformed the faster they show on your screen...
U. dont. have. a. clue. what. you. are. talking. about... The power of those FPS are in you GPU and not your CPU.
@MegaTittyBear It is obviously you that is a total retard. I will agree that you do need a good card to run fsx but fsx is almost totally CPU dependant the increase in fps is nearly a 1:1 ratio, If I were to overclock my CPU by 25% I would see nearly a 25% increase in frames (fsx only) but if I were to overclock my gfx card by 25% I would on see a 1% increase in frames depending on the card (when overclocking low level cards in fsx there is a bigger increase increase in fps but still only 10-15%
@Dance2Trance22 U mad bro? everyone who wants to be pleased with fsx will overclock, and as u say: "I mean I've seen other Youtube users have better FPS than this and they are in the high 2Ghz or low 3Ghz.", plz link me some videos! otherwise i just think ur a jealous bastard (which you probably are)

@guitargamery Ok just checked out your other videos and there fairly good. Just why do people use such small planes when testing frames when surely you want to get the most framerate heavy plane and test it out.
Wah, you're making a real low flyby over the city. I wish I could do that in my flying clubs atec zephyr. Preferably at a speed of 140knots (vne) but I suppose there would be consequences if I ever did. Oh by the way I really do like the video. Keep them coming :-)
Great job mate the graphics are quite superlative to anything I've seen. This vid truly impressed me keep up the good work mate! I love the scenery so realistic! I give this vid 5+
Hey there, I think your graphics are really good and this video gives a really realistic feel. Makes me miss my old days where I had the luxury of time to fly around in the simulator. And might I just add that the landing was really good and smooth? Great video
First of all you didnt get the Asus Rampage IV and you are still running on the old 2600K.
Overclocking over 1GHZ from the stock clock speed will significantly decrease your CPU life down to about 3 years, even if you'd cool it below zero Celsius. FSX does not utilize the power of your CPU, so overclocking your CPU the way you did, will just waste your CPU.
just want to say that the framerate are very smooth ! No lag or everything else. This is just awesome. With this video, we can really feel the spirit of aviation :)
Sadly, My AMD 1055t at 4Ghz cannot keep up with this, great job. There are tons of people running at the 4GHz mark but 5GHz really puts things over the edge. Keep up the good work simmer.
Intel Is going to release some new Processers here in the next few months and im going to upgrade to a new computer just for FSX. Il even get more performance for FS9!!! lol. I get it for a graduation present for my last year in high school. Right now im looking at the cyberpower PC Gamer Infinity Pro wiht the Cooler Master HAF-X tower. Could you tell me if you are using a water cooling system that cools not only the CPU but the GPU (graphics card CPU) as well?
LOL even without this new setup performance, your FSX was still supreme with the old system. Like, I could say unlimited FPS on old system and in new system lol very nice man.
@guitargamery I don't want to pee anyone off but you my friend are wrong, the increased voltage will deplete the lifetime of your processor, however I am curious what kind of frames are you getting?
Could you please tell me what tweaks you have done? CFG editing and GPU control panel editing. I have a 8GB DDR3, GTX470, and AMD Phenom II 6Core CPU @3.5GHz system and I believe my FSX should be running smoother than it is now.
How much was that upgrade? Or rather the PC with the specs you have? Im planning to switch to Microsft Flight when i have the budget to get a powerful gaming desktop. Right now i have a Gateway FX6000. Intel Q9400 Quad core 2.66GHz, RAM: 6GB Seagate 7,200 RPM 700GB HDD, Seagate External 1TB HDD, ATI Radeon 4830 GPU 1GB ram. With those settings i get anywhere from 15FPS to 90FPS on Microsft Flight Simulator 2004. I need a new powerful computer for Microsoft Flight under $2 grand.
@wtfsincerlyjapan OMFG!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I finally found a computer in my budget for Microsft Flight!!!! Thank you!!! Il have to save up now.... :( But its worth the wait!!! :)
Didn't Intel set the record a couple of years ago? -30C at 12 ghz on a Core 2 Duo? Too lazy to look it up, rather watch the vid. Thinking about my next build, next week-mid Jan.
Great job, I would like to find the balls to overclock my I7 2600K but I don't trust my garbage ASUS P8P67 Deluxe mob. I have a corsair H70 maybe a good mob upgrade and H100 I might give it a shot.
@pau0105 i could see it idling at those temps with a good cooler. but not while running, my i7 875k overclocked to 4.02ghz with minimal voltage change idles at 35 with a low end liquid cooler. but peaks at about 80 on cpu intensive games.
@pau0105 I agree Its impossible I have the 980X and can't even overclock to that high. No point of overclocking that high you can get good FPS jost by overclocking at 4GHz
love your vids- justs subscribed-you use a single or triple monitor? I have an i7 CPU @ 3.20 GHz with 12Gb RAM and Nvidia Geforce GTX 590- what can I do to maximize graphics? what addons do you have, which aircraft is that and how did you get those added sound wind and radio chatter effects? thanks for sharing
You need to check your temps again bro, I doubt you have 5GHz on a 2600k under 40C. Even the H100 is LCLC cooling. Not even a custom loop could get that.
@deltafan909. i get even less then 40 degrees at 5 ghz but you had to check my older videos to understand why, i just cant explain al over again, i just give you a hint _ my corsair h100 is receiving fresh cold air that is coming directly from out doors at 5-10 degrees in all winter of course in the summer is another story, for example now my cpu temps are 12 degrees...so u can have an idea
@guitargamery You should be careful, if you are saying you are bringing cold air from outdoors, you should check if the temperatures don´t hit that low, because you can freeze the water, therefore leading to some bad shit.
If you would fly so low nowadays in RL you would be shooten up by F16 ;-)

Great job, I would like to find the balls to overclock my I7 2600K but I don't trust my garbage ASUS P8P67 Deluxe mob. I have a corsair H70 maybe a good mob upgrade and H100 I might give it a shot.

@pau0105 I am pretty sure he is referring to Idle temps, at 4.5GHz you can pull 30 degrees celcius idle. at 5GHz I think 40 degrees is plausible
RossM236 2 months ago
@pau0105 and for the fact he is liquid cooling...
RossM236 2 months ago
@pau0105 i could see it idling at those temps with a good cooler. but not while running, my i7 875k overclocked to 4.02ghz with minimal voltage change idles at 35 with a low end liquid cooler. but peaks at about 80 on cpu intensive games.

@pau0105 with a good watercooling it's possible

@R4mbo911 not with a corsair H100 (description)
pau0105 1 month ago
@pau0105 I agree Its impossible I have the 980X and can't even overclock to that high. No point of overclocking that high you can get good FPS jost by overclocking at 4GHz

You need to check your temps again bro, I doubt you have 5GHz on a 2600k under 40C. Even the H100 is LCLC cooling. Not even a custom loop could get that.
deltafan909 2 months ago
@deltafan909. i get even less then 40 degrees at 5 ghz but you had to check my older videos to understand why, i just cant explain al over again, i just give you a hint _ my corsair h100 is receiving fresh cold air that is coming directly from out doors at 5-10 degrees in all winter of course in the summer is another story, for example now my cpu temps are 12 degrees...so u can have an idea
guitargamery 2 months ago
@guitargamery What video can I look at?
deltafan909 2 months ago
@guitargamery You should be careful, if you are saying you are bringing cold air from outdoors, you should check if the temperatures don´t hit that low, because you can freeze the water, therefore leading to some bad shit.
wwwwwoooeeee 2 months ago
@wwwwwoooeeee yes but the air temp from outside are between 12-18 degrees...its ok
guitargamery 2 months ago
@deltafan909 my 2500k is at 4.7ghz and idles at 30c maxes out at 55c fsx wont use the cpu at 100% either so his temps could be right
