Nothing compared to the Empire Strikes Back - once again Lucas believed he could make an epic through computer generated special effects - it doesn't work that way. You need a script - and a well written one, R.O.T.S. doesn't have one. And although this slightly better than the first 2, it is still rubbish.

this movie has great cgi but delivers more, everyone can bitch about this movie as much as they like but to me it was a great film, some lines were bad but they got around them and the story and music made the film really upseting

@LukeLovesRose 1, I'm not going to touch upon, you either liked it or you didn't (I did as a kid, now as a teen...ehh). 2 was ok, but no Avatar. 3 was SPECTAULAR and the drama and story really makes you feel for the characters more than Avatar. Both films has some CGI that was a little pointless BUT cool to look at. ROTS really goes all out, and, w/ the exception of SOME diaologe, ROTS was pretty darn good, and I see both films equally, but at least the plot of Sith didn't need Dances w/ Wolves.

The Star Wars prequels are garbage. I loved the original, but Lucas just doesn't know how to write decently. Avatar is way better than the new SW films. I don't think the third one is AS bad as the others, but still, shame on Lucas

WOW!!! Lucas is an asswhole! He showed us clips of 4 Jedi against 1 Sith and DARTH VADER himself! ...but in the end he did nothing special with them... Damn it Lucas why did you do that. He gets off at raising the hype to unpresidented levels and then destroy it...

I don't understand why people bash Hayden about his acting. In reality he did an amazing job. It's a real feat to be able to deliver such terrible dialouge like he did. He really pulled off some crappy lines. I don't think the movie is as bad as people make it out to be. I liked it. Read Mathew Stover's novilization of the movie. It'l bring the story to a whole new light.

@ExplodingRecycables Hayden wasn't bad in Episode 3, but he was awful in the second episode. Especially the entire love scenes with Padme on Naboo by running in the fields. I don't hate the prequels, but the dialogue and acting at times was below par and didn't have the characters we could attach too like the original trilogy had. Said that, I like the young Obi Wan as much as old Obi Wan!

@ExplodingRecycables I hated all 3 prequel films but I agree, Stover's novelization is unbelievably good. It's genuinely one of the best books I've ever read...which is incredible when you consider that it's a movie novelization and it's science fiction. It's superb.

If he were such a good actor don't you think he would have gotten some more decent jobs after this? This movie is my favorite from SW trilogies. Those who said the movie is shit are old people and use to old trilogy. I like old trilogy, but the old one is a soap opera, and the new one is more militery and political overview of the whole situation in a galaxy, about war. And, in my opinion, new episodes are mora realistic about some logical events, not like in Return of the Jedi, where a bunch of Ewox and Han Solo beats the whole armie of the Empire - stpid!!!

The acting is terrible, like a cheesy mid-day soap opera, especially when it comes to Hayden's acting, it's unbelievable and just plain bad. Anakin's transition to the dark side is basically like the 5 second movie version...

In my own opinion, the movie sucks because of the terrible acting and the cheesy no-brainer dialogue scenes, especially in the last half of the film.

The ligth saber duel in this film is preety weird. It's no exiting and no trhilling. Just weird, hanging by cables and standing on little robots... "i'm in high ground" (?). Really weird. The duel in ep 1 was the best of all saga
