  • What song is this?

  • That was awesome! I love these guys! God is in them all! Such cool dance moves too.

  • looks kinda like a workout session to me

    still pretty cool.

    God bless(:

  • I have a few questions, please be patient, I know it's something you practice.

    1. What does this have to do with God?

    2. If people say that this act is "worshipping God" then why do they also say "worship means to live for God."

    3. Why does everyone seem to rely on God for everything, when it can be reached with there own hard work?

  • You can't get everything through hard work. yes life is hard, and it requires work, but that's why you depend on God. to get you through the hard times. you will be rewarded in the end if you live for God and do his will. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, and the only way to eternal happiness. When you're worshipping God, you're living for him, you're giving him your full attention and thats all he wants. Find God my friend....and find life!

  • I've known God for a very long time.

As for what you just said: It's debatable, I'll leave it at that.

  • 1) This is an act of worshiping God and bringing a fire to others. Ever try to get your point across?

2)Worship comes in many forms. Not just the raising of hands and dance. But honoring God through our daily walk is an act of worship aswell.

3)If your talking about salvation, read Ephesians 2:8 it says we can't get to heaven through good works. Now if your talking about provisions, sometimes we have to rely on God. Then thirdly, sadly some people are lazy .

  • did this at my church

    soo powerful give me chills

  • Who does this song?

  • you can disagree but man have some respect

  • What causes you to believe this way? Just out of curiousity. I dare you to prove that he doesn't exist.

  • I LOVE TO WATCH YA'LL IT IS SO AMAZING!!

  • The dancing of these youth is comparable to the hypnotic tribal dancing of indigenous religions. Specifically, these people are trying to use the rapid beat of the musical sounds, the repetitious lyrics of the songs, the hard rhythm of the dancing, and raw emotionalism to hypnotize themselves, thereby creating an artificial "spiritual experience."

So, really, this environment inhibits rational thinking, as opposed to supporting it. This is Mind Control 101, folks.

  • Seriously, please don't trash this before you know what it's really about. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

  • So, in other words, you cannot understand what Karen Wheaton's ministry is about without embracing it?

    What a convenient "win-win" argument.

  • Ok, that made no sense at all. What's so bad with kids going after something that lifts them up above the constant negitivity we see all around us. I don't expect you to understand unless you were in thier shoes. The kids aren't on any sort of mind altering drugs(or influenced by dance moves). They have seen the truth, and thier sharing it with others. Just don't trash what you don't understand.

  • rsjfan, how do you know that I do not understand Karen Wheaton's ministry? Simply because I disagree with its doctrines and practices?

  • because you would not slander her, or her ministry. You would be more forgiving if she was in error about her doctrine. Jesus has a better was for mankind, and she's sharing that with youth, in a relevant way. I don't know if you've been hurt by anyone in her ministry, and if you were I'm sorry. I just know that it's God that makes truth clear to us.

  • Prove that I have slandered her. Show me how the said tactics of her ministry do not induce hyponosis or any alternative state of consciousness.

Until you do so, you have slandered me by unjustly accusing me of slander.

  • I'm sorry if I used the wrong word. I meant that you're going by a few articles and not by any valid eyewitness accounts that they are leading these young people into something that's evil. Worshipping God, invites Him to dwell with us. This may cause people to cry, fall over, or just dance. They are like children delighted in thier Father. So please don't let this hurt you. I never meant to hurt anyone. I'm truly sorry if I did.

  • rsjfan, self-control is a fruit of God the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). And I do not call falling down like a sack of potatoes, squirming and twitching like one is having a seizure, acting like an animal, babbling in unknown "tongues" with simple and repetitious sounds, or any other such phenomena "self-control."

To the contrary, such behavior comes across as demonically driven behavior.

  • Here's Acts chapter 2: 1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them."

  • 5Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. 7Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? 8Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language?

  • 9Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11(both Jews and converts to Judaism Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!" 12Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, "What does this mean?" 13Some, however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine.[b]"

  • So? In Acts 2, the disciples and the Apostles spoke messages in languages which the audience understood (Acts 2:4-12). However, Charismatic Pentecostals publicly speak in unknown "tongues" without an interpreter, a practice which Paul forbid (1 Corinthians 14:6-13, 27-28).

  • That was for people who speak in tounges alone as if to have a translation for it, but doesn't have one. That's what Paul forbid. Not speaking in tounges period. Speaking in tounges is a way of praying God's perfect will over something or someone. We are allowing God to pray through us. If someone does act like they are speaking in tounges and are going to interpret it, but nothing comes (to them or anyone else gifted in that) then that's the error.

  • rsjfan, 1 Corinthians 14:6-13, 27-28 applies to *all publicly spoken* "tongues," period. And a prayer which is said in a public capacity ceases to be a private prayer, otherwise you create an oxymoron.

Quite simply, you are trying to insert extra-Scriptural qualifiers and exceptions into 1 Corinthians 14.

  • Let's please just keep on loving Jesus, and just let Him work on me if anything I believe is wrong. I trust Jesus with you and you should trust Him with me. God bless, and have a great night! :)

  • I encourage you to do some *actual research* on Charismatic Pentecostalism's methods of mind control. To start, try visiting Tricia Tillin's webpages entitled, "Top Secret-Apotheosis: Brainwashing Manual for Research" and "The Covert Strategies of the False Revival: Mind Control Part[s] [1-3]." And, while you read the contents of these pages, compare the tactics of Karen Wheaton's ministry to the said tactics of the said manual.

  • I've been part of that group of Christianity for all my life. It's NOT mind control that brings people to God. The not the music, not the preacher, not the dancing that brings people to God. It is just a tool, not the sole foundation. God draws people to himself through people, and through various other things. If it brings people to the truth of Jesus, and they follow it, who cares who brings them there.

  • Really? Then I challenge you to go one month without listening to the said music, watching the said dancing, or indulging in any of the high adrenaline tactics of Charismatic Pentecostalism. And when you are undergoing this 30 day period, then please record a detailed daily video diary which documents how you feel on a day-by-day basis.

    Fair enough?

  • The Joy of the Lord isn't a tactic. King David dancing before the Lord and the Lord was pleased with him. He wasn't in a trance. He was delighting in his God. It's about people being SO in love with God that they express their love back to him in shouts, danicng, and singing. The ministry encourages extravagant expressions of worship because of what Christ has done for them. They do what they do out of an expression of love that they feel towards God.

  • And how do you know when God the Spirit is truly behind any so-called "movement of the Spirit"?

  • a spirit not of God would NOT be encourageing someone to worship God, in spirit and in truth. For what He's done for us. False teachers tell you to do something for thier gain or to use people for something. All this is doing is telling young people that it's ok to express love for God. Ever been so happy or laughed so hard you cried? There's nothing wrong with that.:)

  • rsjfan, worship of YHWH should be centered on YHWH 'Elohiym's desires (i.e. Romans 12:1, Romans 14:6, Ephesians 5:19-20, etc.), not one's own personal desires. And if you cannot worship YHWH without having these personal supernatural experiences, then you are not worshipping YHWH, but rather you are entertaining and gratifying yourself first and foremost.

So, again, will you reconsider my 30 day challenge?

  • I believe that God IS supernatural. If He wasn't how would he save us? To sing to God in spiritual songs could be singing in tounges, and having God give us songs for his pleasure. Worship isn't about us, you're right about that. God in His love does give us back love, and joy for our worship. He's a giving God. Yes our lives should always be about Him. God loves to give good gifts to his children. If it wasn't for his relationship with us who would want Him?

  • You are dodging my point. If you demand that God the Spirit give you these personal supernatural experiences for worship, then you are engaging in self-centered worship rituals, not Godly worship.

This point represents the essence of my 30 day challenge to you. I want you to prove to me that your notion of "worship" does not depend on such things, but rather that your notion of "worship" is centralized in your heart alone.

  • I don't depend on emotions to tell me that I'm reaching Jesus. I'm not demanding anything. Let's please just keep on loving Jesus, and just let Him work on me if anything I believe is wrong. I trust Jesus with you and you should trust Him with me. God bless, and have a great night! :)

  • Oh, and I really don't feel that I have to take your challenge right now. It's not about a song, it's about Jesus, and I could worship him anywhere. With or without a band, dancing ect. Be at peace and worship Jesus the way you see fit. Please let me do the same. God will tell me if I'm wrong. Don't worry. :)

  • Your reply represents a key character flaw in Charismatic Pentecostalism. Many Charismatic Pentecostals claim that they are accountable to YHWH alone, yet they believe that they can correct and rebuke other people who disagree with them.

How does this attitude not represent a double-standard?

  • I'm not saying you had no right to rebuke. I'm just saying that words alone don't effect hearts. God does. Until someone heart is changed you can't convince them of anything. I've offered you a peace treaty and you've not taken it. Can't we agree to disagree? We are one body in Him. We shouldn't fight each other. This is just making me sad. :(

  • :) There is no need to be sad, rsjfan. When one speaks the truth, one also speaks love.

    1 Corinthians 13:6 [NIV]

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

  • Alright. Have a great night! I need to turn in soon. God bless!

  • Sorry, but you're talking nonsense. The dancing on this video has no resemblance to hypnotic tribal dancing.

How do you know that the dancers are trying to hypnotize themselves? Perhaps you can you read their thoughts??!!

Also, it's impossible to do choreographed dancing (which is what this is) in a hypnotic state, as you need to be able to concentrate and use your mind whilst you're dancing. I'm a dancer and believe me, if you stop thinking about it, you mess up!
