the lovely thing about the Studio Ghibli films , is that it doesn't sugarcoat anything, but higlights the serious issues in society. But it represents it in the magical , breathtaking worlds (Nausicaa valley of the wind) etc... Personally , they leave an ache in my heart which makes me come back for more . STUDIO GHIBLI FOREVER!!!! ;')

I love how in Pom Poko the, please excuse me (really I'm not trying to be vulgar or mocking), dangling balls of the tanooki are clearly visible. It's, erm, very natural!

So, a friend will tell you that they enjoy anime, and you will ask if they've ever heard of Studio Ghibli, to which they reply no. Then you urge them to look into it, even send them a link, and they say they will, but seldom do right away. Then some weeks later, maybe even months, they come back and thank you. I just don't understand how SG is still a well kept secret it seems, when it comes to quality anime.

@A1R5N1P3R I say just the exact opposite to that! All my friends are major anime fans, and I'm not really into anime. I tell them I do know some, and when I mention Studio Ghibli they just roll their eyes at me and say "EVERYONE knows Studio Ghibli; you're so not an anime fan!" Studio Ghibli is the biggest and most successful anime corporation in Japan. It's reached the United States as well as other places very well. So I don't know why in your area of the world it's such a secret.

@SirRiehl castle of cagliostro was made in 1979 studio ghibli hadnt opened till after the realease of nausicaa but its believed to be a ghibli film, laputa was the first film that ghibli made

MIyazaki has a true talent for story telling. Have not been disappointed by any of his work.

Hey, why does hardly anyone comment? And why do such a little number of person whatch this? Miyazaki is a master and I think all his films are masterpieces, so why are there more people whatching a 2 second fart and not these great trailers? Sheesh! People are stupid!!
