@QuietZorg umm well, not exactly..while on my netbook, hl 2 runs at great 50 fps (n10j) ep 1 performs 30...while ep 2 on open surfaces produces 20......anyways, not much of a thing, really :D just noticed :'D

Does half life 2 play better on this 1410 than netbooks that have Nvidia ion graphics?

I'm torn between an acer 1410 and an asus 1201N, which one will run Half Life 2 and its mods better?

i finished all half-life episodes on acer 1410 (same specs as you have) and it was playable. Original half-life 2 is playable even on 1080p HDMI HD screen.. :D

I love this netbook. especially the 8 hours (10 with lowest brightness) battery life :)

I would consider it to be more quiet than loud. It is certainly not loud (..well relative to my sis's toshiba) . It is quieter than a xpsm1330 , and about the same / slightly quieter than a acer eee 1000.

I use it in bed, when others are sleeping, i use it in college lectures, and in library, and it does not seem to cause disturbances.

But it is certainly not silent .. (is any keyboard?)

I ordered a Vostro V13 with a core 2 solo at 1,4 Ghz, 2 gig of ram DDR3, 800 mghz front bus with the 4500 hd. Do you think I can play Unreal tournament 2004 on that?

I would say so, perhaps med settings. Ut2004 is actually one of the games I plan to try out on my acer 1410 , but. Can't remember the password for it :-( I I get it going, I'll let u know!

I run UT 2004 without a problem on my Vostro V13!
