@D1730 is right, you have not seen the Blues until you have heard Buddy Guy.....this will change the way you think, the way you dance, the way you move your body, yes!!!!
@TheD1763 It was to show respect. They could not keep up with Buddy Guy if you notice they all surrounded him and he was outplaying them easily. Keith gave his guitar away at the end as a show of respect to a great blues player..............Buddy Guy is the best Blues Player Alive Today. I have seen the Rolling Stones in concert and they are awesome. Great Show...........But, you have not seen a show till you go see Buddy Guy in concert.
I watched Shine A Light last night, when this part came up...I can't even explain what I was feeling! Just amazing the sounds of those guitars! I just wish I had been born earlier than 1995. This is music.
@TaffyRaphie Don't start an argument you can't finish. I have seen both of these gentlemen in concert and I am fixing to go again to another Buddy Guy and Bonnie Raitt concert. The Rolling stones rock and so does Buddy. You can argue with someone else...........

i hate how sometimes people pigeonhole mick as the band's diva....when honestly and seriously he does more than that, he's playing the harmonica, entertaining and singing all in the same time with such energy like some possesed 1950's chicago sideman, quite impressive
@rollingjones95 THEY DID HAVE IT CORRECT TO START WITH THEN THEY PULLED IT. THEN SOMEONE POSTED IT AGAIN WITH THE SPELLING A LITTLE OFF SO THEY WOULD NOT PULL IT AGAIN...........THANK GOD !!! I LOVE THIS TUNE.................
Whatever the Stones are playing, Charlie always keeps it better (even whenthey did very bad things...). I wisch I could listen more drums like his ones in R'N'R. @alicebryson Buddy wasn't better, as a blues guitar player and singer...yeah he was better...sure but the stones took more risks and styles through their carreer....not to mention they invented a style of life and new ways of writing and executing on rock and roll...even a little punk too, respect the stones....both are awesome
@theachtungtree WELL, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. I HAVE SEEN BOTH THATS RIGHT BOTH IN CONCERT AND THEY ARE BOTH GREAT. BUT, BUDDY GUY WAS AROUND WAY BEFORE THE ROLLING STONES. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE AND I HAVE BEEN TO OVER 100 CONCERTS THAT PLAYS AND PERFORMS LIKE BUDDY GUY. HE IS ONE OF A KIND. IF YOU EVER GET TO SEE HIM YOU WILL KNOW WHAT I MEAN. @theachtungtree I am finished with replying to your post. I have even written in lower case. The Rolling Stones are a Great Band. So, let's stop acting like children and just agree that they are all great............Can we agree on that? Thank you and have a nice day....
@alicebryson yeah...actually it was you who started the whole "Buddy , Buddy, Buddy, you make the Rolling Stones Look Good.. I have seen both of ya'll in concert and you out performed the Stones in every way without even trying, BUDDY IS BETTER ON THE GUITAR AND VOCALS. SO PUT THAT IN YOUR PEACE PIPE AND SMOKE IT" completely rude against the stones while i finished my initial post in defense of them like "both are awesome", what i meant was that you should respect them as well
@theachtungtree I do respect The Stones and Buddy Guy........I am sorry that you took it the wrong way. Have you ever seen anyone of them in concert? I have. They were great. End of story. Have a nice day...............
@alicebryson you're a cool cat, you're into good music....no, they don't tour here in my country....just argentina and brazil, but i love em both no matter what....touring or not, i loooooooove their studio and live albums, but anyway yeah....i was a bit rude at first too, let's forget this, have a great day, looking good on that youtube channel pic, cheers ;)
@theachtungtree Well, I appreciate your reply back. I also appreciate the compliment on the picture. There are so many great bands out there. I'm glad that we could get this right and be friends and give our opinions. That is what freedom is all about. I love Rock & Roll, Blues, Hip Hop, Pop if it has a good beat then I am into it. It was interesting going back and forth but, I knew that we could come to a mutual agreement...... You take care.....Have a great day......
@alicebryson do you notice the lovely smile that buddy puts when he sees the amazing harp solo that mick does, quite touching....like some long time friend enjoying good times and remembering stuff
Fucking "A" +++++++++++++++ A legend among legends. Waz so sweet when Keith gave his guitar to Buddy at the end in tribute. Ronnie Wood iz so underrated. Fucking priceless!!!!! Thx. 4 thu post!!!!!!
fuck yeh, the only white band that can back buddy guy... really those white boys from england got it right. Buddy is a god, i love it at 1:02 fuck yeh buddy
@Scarlettfever1991 If you thought he was amazing here then if he is ever within 600 miles of you in concert I suggest that you go seem him. I seen him in Atlanta, Georgia and I thought the Tabernacle was going to catch on fire. He is the man.......... He makes you feel so good. I love all of his facial expressions. It tickles me. Probably because I seen him in concert. To Bad Stevie's not with us anymore.
The Rolling Stones is one of the musicians who became fans of Buddy Guy....they are so great. and i love to watch this part so many fuckin' times, they are rock n roll, they are blues...they are Rolling Stones :)
I was there in the balcony. It was so fucking good it's crazy!!! The Stones rock hard. Also President Clinton's speech was really good,. They edited it on the dvd, but they cut out at least 3 minutes.
Lucky you to be there. I have the DVD and was blown away just watching it in my living room. The Stones have a lot of energy, especially Mick, he's all over the stage! Buddy Guy was amazing!
i saw buddy guy play with the allmanbros and ever since then ive been tryin to understand why buddy is so good. Not sure what or how but when buddy walks on stage no matter who hes with, you feel his presence. He makes everyone else on stage play on HIS level, and doesnt come down from it. The man knows how to talk with his guitar and it always expresses a good feelin. Buddys a legend end of story.
My best friend gave me the world's most truthful statement on Buddy Guy upon seeing this video for the first time when I played the movie for her the other night...
Anyone think that Ronnie doesn't get enough attention in the film even tho he's plays some sweet licks. Obviously on this track Buddy's the man, but the cameras all over Keith rather than Ron.
This video rocks! I love Keith.. the way he walks in circles and is "in your face" Gotta laugh when he finally blows that smoke out at 3:23...almost fireworks. Very cool when he gives his guitar to Buddy at the end. And Mick....lol with BMFG! love it.
Yeah he did...watch the whole film man, it's awesome. I can't stop watching it. The songs are great, the guys (and gals:)) are great (except the whining JW) and to spice it up Scorsese and his staff created a masterpiece.
These guys did not forget where the spirit of r'n'r coming from...
I hadn't thought of it that way. When I watched the DVD for the first time last night, I thought it kinda condescending. Then again it's probably a nice superannuation package for Buddy. ;-)

Anyone think that Ronnie doesn't get enough attention in the film even tho he's plays some sweet licks. Obviously on this track Buddy's the man, but the cameras all over Keith rather than Ron.

I think that too. He's also too low in the mix on the DVD, opposed to the theatre version.

This video rocks! I love Keith.. the way he walks in circles and is "in your face" Gotta laugh when he finally blows that smoke out at 3:23...almost fireworks. Very cool when he gives his guitar to Buddy at the end. And Mick....lol with BMFG! love it.

Did I see that right? Did Kieth give Buddy his guitar right at the end there? Wonderful, the whole thing wonderful.

Ya gotta love how Keith shows respect by giving him his guitar

I hadn't thought of it that way. When I watched the DVD for the first time last night, I thought it kinda condescending. Then again it's probably a nice superannuation package for Buddy. ;-)

Ohhh no bro he's like "Your the man here take this as a small gesture of coolness "

Yes, I've watched it a few more times and I think you're right. Thanks.

Buddy Guy is one of the most underated artist alive. his intensity is unparalelled and I just like the way he flames this solo.
