Rules are rules...you can't pass below the yellow line, under no circumstance. The second pass was his spotter and crew chiefs mistake. As far as speeding on pit road, Nascar has timing loops that are 100% efficient. He was a fool for not coming back in too. This ain't Bristol guys...

NASCAR kept Dodge's out for years. When Fords were winning, NASCAR wanted them to pull camper trailers. NASCAR has favorites, don't cross them. Kentucky has a great track and they refuse to sanction it. NASCAR keeps using skuzy old race tracks. France family only get richer.
There are tons of logistical elements that NASCAR has to consider when they choose what tracks to run at. Of course the biggest one is profitability (ticket and merchandise sales etc) I've heard that Kentucky is a great track and it is up there on the list of places to consider but they have long-term deals with the track-owners and proven fan bases at each track
...Kentucky will have to sell out the 1st wknd there is a race there (if ever) for them to keep coming..i'd like to see them change it up and try some new tracks...that would make things more exciting and give young drivers a better chance

I no longer watch the races. Was a race addict until Mark Martin retired. Now there are only crybabies left. And Nascar is just like wrestling and Roller derby. All drama and no real competition. It's purely entertainment now.There aren't any sports worth watching any more.

Nascar might be the most popular racing around, but they sure do have problems with stupid rules violations and phantom caution flags for debris, etc, etc. It seems like the more I watch it, the more corrupt it seems.

their biggest issue is a severe lack of consistatcy in their calls. carls 2nd black flag was bogus, he avoided a crash and gave up the spots too. lol

I agree completely with the first penalty. He passed a car underneath the yellow line. NASCAR rules say that even if you are forced below the line, you still have to give the posistion, which he didn't.
The second call is utter Bull Sh*t
He was trying to avoid the wreck and actually lost about 4 positions in the process.

NASCAR kept Dodge's out for years. When Fords were winning, NASCAR wanted them to pull camper trailers. NASCAR has favorites, don't cross them. Kentucky has a great track and they refuse to sanction it. NASCAR keeps using skuzy old race tracks. France family only get richer.

There are tons of logistical elements that NASCAR has to consider when they choose what tracks to run at. Of course the biggest one is profitability (ticket and merchandise sales etc) I've heard that Kentucky is a great track and it is up there on the list of places to consider but they have long-term deals with the track-owners and proven fan bases at each track

fuck that penalty when they slow down carl on the way to pit road was not cool. carl couldnt do anything else except by going down the yellow line. nascar officials are idiots.

ha i remember watching at this and laughing technically he broke the rules but NASCAR could have easily let him go they just wanted to use the opportunity to show teams that they meant business in the penalty area.

I am in no way, shape, or form a Edwards fan (happen to bea Stewrat fan) and them first two calls were BS, the first one he was sqeezed down onto the apron and the second one was the biggest screwjob since Roy Jones Jr at the Olympics. I have watched several drivers do both of them things and not cracked by them stupid bastards.

Thanks for putting that together like you did. Kind of undisputable on how Nascar calls their races... ever wonder about the Charlotte Busch race (I think it was Charlotte with Mears and Edwards). I don't think Nascar would have set the order back if it wasn't for the excellent explaination from Kyle Petty. (What was up with Red flagging the race TO FIGURE IT OUT if the rules were so black and white)
