  • hey man does the kp65 skip and notes when playing double pedal fast? because the one i have now wont pick up the left foot when i play fast. thanks!

  • For playing rock band or guitar hero, I use two axis longboards and two roland KD-8s. I have tried using my two KD-120's but in my opinion the bass triggers with tensioned heads are terrible for rythym games becuz they double and triple hit CONSTANTLY unless your trying your damnedest to play off the head.

  • hey i hav roland kd 9 !! i want to ask that can i put it directly into an amp? its a kick drum pad trigger!!

  • less talk

  • less talk

  • Why didn't you do a sound Compair? I have the Kick Rocker but I hate how loud it is. I want something that triggers that is QUIET

  • it seems like the one on the very left would be unstable on carpet is it?

  • @playwithme30 None are any more unstable on carpet than the others

  • @davidshek ok so it wont like fall over or something? lol i know i kinda just asked that but it really seems like it will on carpet other then hard wood floor

  • Is there any pedal that you would recommend?

  • can you replace the roadie with a mesh pad?

  • Can I put the roland DK-8 in a Fame Module? or those pads are just to practise not to put on a electronic drums? Please need answerr!. Thanksss :D

  • @polhansen The KD-8 is a Roland kick trigger pad, so yes, it's meant for an electronic drum set. I've never heard of "Fame", so I don't know if it will work with that module.

  • what is a kick trigger?

  • can you put an xcell pad on the Kick Rocker?

  • Is there a difference between the Roland KD8 and the Yamaha KP-65 in terms of bounce when the beater strikes the pad?

  • @UncleManwich No, and that shouldn't ever be a factor when you're buying a kick trigger pad anyway.

  • @davidshek Huh really? You can tell I don't play drums in real life...

I'll just get the Kp-65 I guess because I still need to buy a new guitar and a Digitech Whammy. Thanks!

  • @davidshek How can you say that shouldn't be a factor?

I recently bought a Yamaha KP75 and find the action totally unnatural. Some bounce would be welcome.

  • @jacobestes Because a real kick drum has no rebound, therefore rebound should not be a factor when buying an e-drum kick trigger pad either. Rebound (or "bounce") is not something you should be looking for as a plus when you buy a kick pad.

  • @davidshek A real kick drum has no bounce? Have you played a real kick drum before? Do you know how drums work?

  • @jacobestes Nah, I've only been playing drums for hmm, 20 years. No idea how drums work whatsoever.

  • I was the first to do the the mesh mod of the roadie kick roacker and it was great for awhile... My biggest gripe and the reason I moved to the roland KD8 was the roadie kick roacker was really loud not because the head but because of the squeak of the back legs which got to be terrible. and Id tighten the screws on the legs and they would loosen up quickly and then the terrible terrible squeak would begin again.

  • roland pwns

  • There's people who has done the meshmod on the Roadie kick trigger, right? Might be worth mentioning.. Would reduce the sound ALOT.. And i think you can fit mutepads on it, x-cell pads or whatever...

Got the Roland KD-8 myself, love it :)

  • @sarcasm2k yea i got the roland kd-8 too. i like it better than the mesh ones
