  • sweet vid check out mine !! :))

    /watch?v=qCzDhwuAlgk

  • i kind of don't understand , they want MARIJUANA to be legal or illegal ?

  • please I want to buy this music?

  • i'm going to Boston in 2 weeks. Can anyone set me up with some weed?

  • marijuana is healthier than alcohool and cigarettes! it has been found that can cure several deseases some scientist even claim it cures cancer, there are many proofs.

  • Whahaha I've got 5 coffeeshops around the corner.

    Holland rules!

  • and then all these stoner-fied looking ppl make us look like dumbasses..wtf..look how the bring out themselves..wtf..man i sure dont look like that..im a fuckin athlete football palyer that smokes weed every day..wtf..this is why they wont legalize it..because dumb stoner looking people running the streets are fucking it up

  • Come out for the marches and bring your friends and less of wtf's. I'm a former athlete to and a dress professionally and conservative, clean cut. I wish more would do the same. But we've won but with the money against us. The big money. The people are with us because they know people and many athletes, business people, who use cannabis, it is true. Life experience not stereotypes. Keep breaking them, do that.

  • Well it is def true that these are some bummy looking people, so they are not really the best pot advocates.

  • Im pretty sure anyones child can grow up to be whoever they want and dress how ever they want...Im in the video and dont consider myself bummy...im a 25 year old father of a 7 month old..legalization is important for everyone..Sitting on your couch typing a paragraph on what youd do if you were there dosent mean anything..See you at the next march if you really wish to make a difference

  • All I was saying is that people shouldn't dress and act like such stereotypical potheads. Surely you understand how people at large could exploit that against legalization. Imagine what kind of voice-over some anti MJ politician or whatever could apply to this video.

  • you are an athlete football player and therefore....? this sounds like some weird cultural stigma rather than a concern for how the movement is going forward. at least they're out there.

  • you sound like a real tool. "i'm a football player blah blah blah" so you're a fascist who smokes weed? wtf. stop whining you pussy.

  • wtf? boston? whut the fuck is wrong with yall? why dont u set a date maybe 2 to 3 years from now to get way more people to walk up to fuckin washington dc and really make a difference..it would make mlk speech and oboma inaugeration look like a fuckin joke

  • WTF Boston? We are one of the most educated workforces in the nation, smoke the most cannabis, don't advertise it, and with every major politician in the state from the Governor on down, both parties, we beat them with 65% of the vote for marijuana decrim. More votes than any candidate or issue on the ballot! In a parochial, traditionalist, puritan, Boston. We did it! Even Obama's been asked about our changes! Start local, push national. We are doing it BOSTON, battleground on this is Boston.

  • @sedro32 at least there doin somethin man whats your city doin

  • i read in somerville news last week that the legislature has on its docket a proposal to fine anyone caught with any amount of weed in a car $1000 and loss of licence for 90 days. the man is fighting back.

  • Yes, see my video with our protest against that, garnered lots of press, WBZ radio and the hometown papers of the state senator who sponsored it. I dont think it will go far, check it out and see why.

  • There was this Father that needed to get By with a Few of his Kids. The Potheads Deliberatly blew Smoke at his Kids,So the dude Punch thePothead in the Nose it Was Funny!!Blood Everywhere

  • A few things. Where and when? Not at this march. People werent smoking pot where there were kids. Second if a dude has kids and expects others to look after them in public, isn't that more pollution than some inconsiderate pot smokers blowing smoke in the kids faces? I didn't have kids. Don't make me raise yours or follow dumb laws because you chose to have them.

  • u posted this on the marches from diff cities.... where did this occur?

  • Boston!

  • May 2nd, we do it again, this year! more info on this at mikecann net

  • is true weed juss got legalized in Massachusetts acouple of days ago?

  • Not legalized but just decriminalized for under one ounce a little bit over a month ago. Police will still take it and fine you (amount varies from city to city) but no more arrest for a few joints.

  • amen, i live in MA. havent tested the new law yet lol but im sure liking the stress relief from knowing your not going to get hand cuffed and thrown in jail for possessing it.

  • i thought it was just for medically

  • no medical bill in force in MA. One actually passed as law a decade plus ago but it was a bad law and never implemented. Hope to pass a medical bill this year through state house. The new law makes no distinction between medical or recreation. A medical user like myself is still subject to getting a fine if caught. But it's still a good thing, much better than getting arrested for sure.

  • Big Easy and mundy @ 0:26

    hell yeah!

  • that was such an ill march

were one step closer to legalizing it

    lets push harder this year

everyone tell your friends even if you dont smoke come support the cause

  • is there gunna be another one this year? if so, wen>?>

  • Yes, I think it's May 2nd this year, best to check MassCann DOT O*R*G website in April. They hold them all over the world that day. In Boston we meet over at Fanueil Hall area right in front of the statue outside the meeting hall. It's close to three T Subway Stations, State Street and Govt. Center being the closest.

  • we did it massholes!!!!! weed freedom coming soon to a state near you keep stoned and smile for the ganja gods

  • ...i thought this was the line for metallica tickets!

  • It the goverment legalized it and taxed it it would bring out of this ressision.

  • these guys are slaves to weed man. Its a real shame though. They should seek help.

  • Some of them get help from cannabis & are medical marijuana users. Some others don't even smoke but know people who do or got arrested for it. It's not about being a slave to weed but getting off your ass to fight for your rights for jobs and an education in a state that criminalizes the behavior of the vast majority of people! In MA, half the residents have a criminal CORI record. Are half the residents of one of the most educated workforces really criminals? No.65% voted decrim, not all users.

  • And one last thing, not that there aren't probably some slaves to weed. But these are necessarily those people. Those folks stay home and smoke! The folks that come out for events like this are actually quite active, engaged, and often successful. I know because I know many of them. Not slaves to weed. Slaves to doing the right thing and following through.

  • I am sorry man. It's just that I lost a very good friend to weed. I know you have a point in what you are saying and I couldn't agree more. If you guys need any help etc in future, let me know. I could cook for the rally team I guess. God bless

  • if you dont mind me asking how did your friend pass away?

  • i bet you every dime i had if they brought back alcohol prohibition people would be flipping over cars, and riotiong around the country... these people are just tired of being demonized by the government.

After all Cannabis is a known cure for Skin Cancer, Glaucolma, Controller of diabetes... what has alcohol ever given us? Malfunctioning liver? Alcohol Poisoning?

you'd have to smoke 1500 lbs of marijuana in under 15 minutes to have even a 50% chance to die.

    Thats a lot of pot.

  • Right on, I barely drink other than an occasional cocktail or beer but if they brought back prohibition and were wasting lives and money on it, ruining people's lives, I'd be supporting ending that too. Yes I like cannabis but it's not even about that. It's about our society and setting rules that make sense. Banning cannabis? Can't be done. It's not possible, so then what? Legalization! Thanks for comments!

  • if they bruought prohibition back when i still drank id a lost it if i had to spend my time trying to score booze looking over my shoulder.

  • thats the stupidest thing i ever heard. So where did you hear that and decide to repeat it like a fuckin parrot and sound like a complete moron. to kill dinosaurs huh well you would know that considering you were alive then right? Its man made riiiiight we invented a plant that makes sense we must have made trees then to and birds. You are a fuckin dipshit for saying that i am almost shocked you are dum enough to repeat that. Try thinking for yourself, does that even sound logical? Nope.

  • yea better yet lets just legalize heroin while were at it we'll tell people its not addictive. Fuckin moron extacy is such a garbage drug. A little of this and a little of that. Filthy nasty hi your gay and stupid!

  • heroin is very addictive, cannabis is not. Some things more addictive and harder or just as hard to quit as heroin that are legal or under prescription? Tobacco, oxycontin, etc.. In MA, our most successful drug program did not come from arresting people! Cigarettes! Down among teens and adults, nobody was arrested. A much more addictive and legal substance than cannabis. Meanwhile cannabis, illegal, many arrests, and use? Skyrocketed among youth and teens. Prohibition is the problem.

  • legalize extacy too!!!!!!!!

  • Indeed feel the need to smoke weed

  • marijuana was to kill dinosaurs due to there metabolism and its effect on yu dopemine gland witch niturn effects the NNDMT in your brain...causin intese hallucinations and anarchy in the wild....marijuna....was invented by man.

  • lie

  • lol wtf.... thats some fucked up shit man. totally not true, but really fucked up.

  • march for it in michigan so i can smoke it legaily

  • Legalize it. :]]

From Worcester, wish I could've been there.

  • Oh...kay? I was referring to the large irish population in Boston, but your comment is on topic too... I... think?

  • Yep. Us Irishmen love to drink and smoke! Legalise it!

  • irish people can suck a fucking dick go italians baby

  • MASSACHUSETTS 4 WEED!!! it would be so great if you could go 2 the store and be like can i get a pack of Newport Grass, lol... imma MA resident 2 so they better vote YES ON WEED!

  • at 30 seconds not and

  • is that bohad aka bobaram and 30 seconds?

  • yea bobaram at 30 hahaha

  • i was there :) wonderful group of people.

    VOTE YES ON #2, MA!

  • Wow, just beautiful;)~~Dont panic, its organic;) Keep on keepin on!!!!

  • i was wondering if anyone knows of groups in LA like this.

  • yup there is =]

  • do a google search for global marijuana march, they are probably doing it in LA this saturday, may 2nd, 2009......

  • looks like a lot of fun. i was coming out of work when i saw the crowd. later on i thought wished i had joined in but im in my 40's and look like "mr. establishment". all i need is a "high and tight" and id look like jack webb jr.

  • Ah you should of joined in. Next time.

I'm around the same age and a business guy as well. To funny. Used to work at 60 state, I was hoping to see some old co-workers but I don't think to many work on Saturdays.

  • yeah man you should have joined in, they won't exclude you, they want to get rid of the stereotype, marching in a suit would speak volumes.

  • a suit is a great idea! when's the next one or wheres the website?

  • sorry dude no idea, i'm british so marching in Massachusetts is a bit of a stretch, but feel free to use the idea, i'm a builder and look a bit weird in a suit.

  • May 2nd, this saturday, 4:20 pm in front of faneuil hall, sam adams statue! mikecann net for more info, right hand column.....

  • this saturday, may 2nd, 2009 same place, 4:20 pm, mikecann net for more info...

  • Legalize cannabis Globally!

    Win

  • how can i find weed here in boston

  • only way to achieve peace is if we smoke weed....

imagine all the people in Irak smokkin weed...

they wouldnt be killing themselves will they?

  • A lot of people from that part of the world don't even drink alcohol. Why would they start smoking weed?

  • Because Alcohol is fucking stupid and causes problems? Weed FTW! This shit needs to get legalized.

  • You think people in Iraq would share that opinion? You think they'd all just start smoking weed and end all of this? Maybe you think that way, because you smoke too much weed...

  • If people in Iraq were high then they wouldn't be able to have plane races. First one to hit a tower wins! lawlz. Maybe you think that way, because you don't smoke enough weed...

  • lol im all for weed but they dont make a very good argument... all they scream is LEGALIZE! and then they go silent like... "ummm... what else should we do?" theyre just standing around. i want to get in on this though, whens the next march/protest in the Massachusettes area? can i go to a vote for legalization?

  • Where do I start? How about for somebody that heaps on criticism of people that came out for changing the law, you actually watch the video and listen to what the man from MassCann says? Or better yet, look up what is going on in MA?

NO YOU CAN'T VOTE FOR LEGALIZATION!

Probably because you complain and do nothing?

Yet you can vote for DECRIM in November.

Do something and save the criticism until you've led something? How's that?

  • because of it being illegal i can only smoke in secluded places..fuck that i want to show the world that I SMOKE!!!

  • Same here in Sweden, getting caught can screw up your life for ever. I'd emigrate somewhere else if I ever get arrested here.

  • you don't state anywhere in your video the connection between the campaign for legalising marijuana and relieving old people and illness. I don't see it anywhere.

  • um, yeah. go away and come back when you make sense. There is no real campaign to legalize in Massachusetts where this took place. Love to see it but we know it won't happen. The video is a march, I don't know where it says much of anything beyond, "We want the laws changed". I'm not old but I have daily pain. I need it for medicine. So what is your point?

  • you really are a nutjob. You send me a friend invite,so I watch one of your videos, then I watch one about a load of young people marching, chanting marijuana should be legalised, then you continually get snotty and stupid and say I don't understand what it's about. I say you don't understand what friend invites are about. "Go away and come back when you make sense",patronising dweeb,I'll go away, but I don't think I will come back. And fuck cannabis,it's a load of old shit for a load old peabrains.

  • Boo hoo, I'll miss you!

  • Fuck cannabis? Why? It's beneficial to most people. It's a "sensible crop" and can be used for medicinal purposes and household purposes. You can make clothes, fun conversation, pain relievers....ANYTHING out of marijuana. It has a big role in ancient civilizations and I even heard this one thing about Queen Elizabeth using marijuana as a way to relieve menstrual cramps - those can be a bitch you know. It's great. Don't let someone get you worked up about it. Try doing it for yourself.

  • I think if it was a better day and it was held earlier in the day more people would have gone...I know I would have. I'll look for the September one though!

  • well this looks like all fun and games, but I don't smoke marijuana myself.

  • Well your videos look like fun and games but I don't live in the UK, myself. See how that works?

I jest to make a point. I care about what happens in the UK even if I don't live there. You might try caring about others you might not feel connected to through personal experience.

I've found the best litmus test on whether a non marijuana user is worthy of knowing? Do they support medical marijuana and not arresting people for pot? All that do, are the best people I know. Those that don't? nah..

  • At the end of my last comment, it said I had 420 characters remaining.

  • 420 characters remaining. ha I'm gonna try and get that. hold on....almost there

  • I recommend that you start lobbying your state legislators and senators as well.

  • hey can anyone tell me what the song in this video is??

    :)

  • Song is "Drop Out Mambo" by

Jeremy Lyons & The Deltabilly Boys.

Link to their website is in video description.

  • Osdosdas ista vistas, osca wildearon! Hail pot and shrooms, lol.

  • YEAH YEAH I WAnt a march in victotia... reeefer

  • word up mike. keep up the good work. I enjoyed the march here in Prague for you:) don;t worry

  • Awesome, I'ld love to march in Prague. Nice place, thanks for doing it for me.

  • Look's like there was like 100 people, In Calgary there was like 3000

  • We do our bigger Boston Rally in September. This march in Boston is new for us. Last year was the first year and this year we almost doubled the crowd.

  • congratulations on a wonderful march

  • on myspace it's "thegoldencup" check it out and feel free to use the song for anything pro bud

  • hell yeah i was there...despite the shitty weather, it was great, seeing all those people there for one particular cuase, greaat high...then i smoked some pot...

anyways check out my pro marijuana song

    "the chronic sack"

  • lkjhg

  • I watched the whole video, I loved it. She's in a pro-mj march and runs into a former teacher, thats classic. Mpls had a good turn out along with some sun and mild temps...

    Uzz

  • I guess numbers don't mean anything to the idiots running the show especially when its college peeps. Even though they will be running the show someday. Hopefully they won't stem the other way simply because of the position they are in/at. Proud of our states turn out and all you've done to help. Thanks a zillion qa billion.

  • We had a great turnout for Regina, Canada. But it was nothing compared to what you guys got. Great job guys.

  • Ha! I just saw an ad on T.V. from those "anti-marijuana folks".

It started with a girl who had a sad look on her face, then it showed her burning all her "awards"

The commentary was like "Marijuana costs more then you think."

And you know, the first thing I thought was "Mike would bitch slap who ever made this crap."

    :p

  • I'd hit them with all my trophies!

  • This video is awesome mike u da sh*t for this one. Peace!!!

  • cool video. i was staff at the seattle marijuana march on may 3. hempfest is august 16-17 in seattle too!

  • Great job, I'll have to check out the Seattle video. Always so much you do out there. I'm hoping to finally make a Seattle Hempfest, either this year or next after that.

  • doing the same thing in norway. great to see so many ppl there.

    legalize!!!!

  • Like people can drink and beat their children but god forbid someone smokes a joint and gets the munchies.. the only reason it's not legal is the government will never be able to control it and make money so instead "Legal" prescription drugs are pushed... to children and people alike...

  • Leaving most unable to think for themselves...

But that is the idea isn't it?

  • yes. :P except for ron paul wants the drug wars to end.

  • i was there

led that shit for like 30 minutes

    smoke blunts!

  • i think they should legalize all drugs and i never did a drug in my life. lol. drugs are a choice and if you want to do them you should be able to. of course i'm not saying to get cracked up and go to work. :o)

  • Like Kat Edmonson sings..... "BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WANT TO SEE"!

  • Good video. Next May 10th we have the Global Marjuana March in Madrid.

  • Looks like Boston has a great support group that wants to change marijuana laws. Thumbs up!

  • nice vid, thanks for the add :D

Our march in Ireland is this saturday the 10th.. the pro prohibition march was on the real day and we had to change to next week :( then again i couldnt go last week so they did me a favour :D

  • Wow, they have a pro-prohibition march in Ireland, that's something that would have happened in Boston 20 years ago but times have changed almost everywhere and that kind of thing isn't likely today.

I wonder how many people they actually got for the pro-prohibition rally? Likely not to many.

  • hopefully not too many!

    eurad . net

leader of this is Grainne Kenny... old lady from Dublin stuck in an office with 'facts' and figures and unable to think for herself

stereotypical old fashioned mother type who cant understand fun. she also got mushrooms banned here a few years ago :( they were on sale around the country

  • Indeed, Free The Weed!

  • Awesome! I lol'd at the end part where some of them broke off to have a joint in the alley XD.

Hope the march gets more coverage on MSNBC.

  • We had to break up to ditch the police tail and relax! Public disobedience and nobody got arrested! haha.

  • thanks for taping everything mike !!! we came in from new bedford 14 strong..see ya in september..ty MassCann and anyone who showed up = )

  • Hey thanks for letting me film you and for bringing along a bunch of awesome people. Good time, looking forward to the Rally and doing this again next May.
