  • Wait...that xenomorph is being attacked by the predator!

  • I respect your opinion. Now, when someone tells me not to do something, that's codeword for me to go ahead and do it anyway. :)

  • (Cont) In saying that though, I also agree with your view on drugs Darryl. Not feeling the need to use them in the first place is the way to go. The negatives can easily outweigh the benefits. But I think some drugs are worth at least one try in a lifetime.

  • From my personal use with cannibis over about 4 years now, I can say it definitely comes with both negative and positive effects. It opened my mind in ways I would never have guessed (wouldn't be here without it), but at the same time, created alot of negative imbalances which I am still trying to rectify. I think if used in proper moderation, certain drugs can have amazing eye opening ability, without the heavy negative effects from repeated use. Keep in mind drugs are also heavily subjective.

  • i would rather see people taking mushrooms and DMT, well i would love to see more people take Dmt so maybe we can wake up and smell the coffee abit lol but yeah i would rather see people taking natural psychedelics than getting wasted on alcohol and going insane on the weekends and chain smoking and fighting and hurting each other, things are not perfect the way they are in my opinion, psychedelics will make you relize that you are infinite consciousness

  • brilliant cheers D

  • When an item is studied with all the details becoming known that is art. These art studies require plenty of time with the benefit being the ability to teach what has been learned. The easy to acquire answer is part of the artless mentality. The learning without evaluation for the needed details the path to plenty of errors with that path contaminating all of the United States of America where I live. These learned flaws will become highly popular throughout the World.

  • I understand what you're saying, but I think you don't realize you are making a leap when you say that we are working as we should be and should not alter it. You seem like a very open-minded person, so I'm sort of confused about why you have such a solid opinion on an experience you have not had. I don't think anyone was claiming that you need to fix yourself with these drugs. Just like everything else in life, you are making a decision that will lead to an experience, regardless of method.

  • @darryl

Darryl - Certain that is a valid and reasonable question. I would say that on many levels your opinion re: heroin, cocaine and meth indeed is much less valid than those who have actual experience. If you have not had good quality cocaine - you don't have a horse in the race of being able to make much of a judgement except perhaps in the most meaningless generalization - "some people get addicted to cocaine" without even being able to meaningfully discern physical vs psychological.

  • With due respect, if you are, as admitted, not an expert and, apparently a complete virgin in this regard, does it not seem not so much arrogant but simply silly to make conclusions re: something you don't know anything about.

Did you not consider that you are not so much defective but that there are tools to use to help develop/orient oneself. We need food to nourish our bodies - but our bodies are ok

BTW - what about sex - do you need to have sex??? Or are you just fine without...

  • @Aner2557 With due respect, do I need to try cocaine/meth/heroin in order to have a valid opinion? The argument, "If you haven't tried it, your opinon is worthless" doesn't work in other contexts. Why should it here?

  • @darrylsloan You could legitimately draw a conclusion about meth - that one who uses it might not sleep for say three days. This is based on the simple fact that a huge number of users report this affect -- so your conclusion is simply their conclusion - the people who know better. Without any source data input, you simply wouldn't know anything about meth - and would not be able to make a legitimate judgement. So the answer is not neat and simple as the first reading of your response implies

  • finding the out the truth so why not expand the mind even more. God, i feel like a drug pusher, sorry man, thank you for all your videos, very very good.

  • @Gerazini Not sure what your point is - but sounds highly simplistic - and irrelevant to human development. Best in your life, Aner.

  • @Aner2557 I suppose what i mean is that one can not know about drugs without having tried them. Its like writing a book about music and never having heard it, experienced it. Do some research about mushrooms, peyote and ayahuasca and you will find that there is a lot of potential with these things.

  • @Aner2557 Do some research, dig deep and see what you can find.

  • @Gerazini Sorry about my somewhat harsh response - I am good with what you are suggesting - I was a little puzzeled about the one statement re: "drug pusher" and good videos - but, frankly, my response does not seem appropriate. I would have deleted it if I could but I don't see a means of doing that - so take this Reply as a formal deletion.

  • @Aner2557 No worries, well im telling darryl to try drugs so yes i feel a little like a drug pusher. Thankfully its his choice if he wants to. Good videos, yes darryl makes many good videos. These drugs are not toys tough so caution should be taken and do some research. :)

  • Some good points here and i think your wise to be skeptical about these drugs as in the wrong circumstance they could be a disaster and have been in some cases. Why not pick some mushrooms in October/November and then make another video. I hated any drugs for years being a meditator, until i tried mushrooms and ayahuasca. I highly suggest you give it a think, warning tough i would,nt recommend taking ayahuasca without a prober shaman to do the ceremony. You seem to be so interested in

  • Just cause I called him a jackass for talking about stuff in which he does not have direct experience doesn't make me any less spiritual. He needs to do peyote, iboga and ayahuasca and make another video.

  • Pentagrams rea peaceful sign an inverted one is the opposite... Just like the cross inverted is a sign of the anti-christ... seems like since Ive last spoke to you youve really went out all out on this whole santanism thing :/

  • @itstheTRUTH100 Well, how you're describing the inverted pentagram is not what it means to me. I'm an individualist. Every individualist gets branded as the bad guy, by virtue of going against the grain. So, that's the symbolic relevance of Satan. The ability to accept that you will be branded as such, and not to care. Got nothing to do with anti-peace. Just defiant (horns raised) individualism.

  • You want a Fast, spiritual experiance which is also legal ? Get yourself some Salvia of the internet are your local herb shop... Effects last about 5 minutes.. strong enough to make you pass over to another dimension...Trips stronger than LSD but dont last as long... Are go into the fields and pick some lovely mushrooms from the cow shite ;)

  • God only knows how long I have searched for DMT in N.I...

  • Certain drugs ARE usefull to spirituallity cuz achieving such a state without them is so very hard in our culture. You have to do what a shaman does. I have done both over the last 30 yrs. The shaman path is very very hard and painful.

DMT and LSD pass pretty fast 15 mins to 6 hours.

You can learn from it. For real but.. you have a point

But it isn't about something being wrong with you. that's plain silly.

Good post though. Kudos. Drop acid.. hee hee !

  • this jackass obviously has never done ayahuasca. he knows nothing

  • @Farfromhere001 Well, I can see it's made you very spiritual.

  • @darrylsloan your talking out your ass, you have no direct experience yet you judge.

do you even know what ayahuasca IS?

  • 3

As we become more advanced our ability to synthesize better drugs becomes better and eventually we will see the clear light of now necessary drugs are to our development in all aspects as they can be tools for progress. I strongly suggest experimenting with certain chemicals if you a mind that is curious.

  • 2

As evolution gets more advanced its changes become more dramatic, with humans its our ability to be intelligent that will allow for our development and survival, this would mean cheating our own natural biology to become more sophisticated (even the use of regular medicine is a simple example of this process).

These psychedelics have profound effects on our spiritual outlook because it is almost the exact same process that occurs when we have spiritual experiences without external drugs.

  • 1

Great video! Because we are still in the process of evolution we may not necessarily complete. Interestingly we are composed of chemicals with similar molecular structures to those of insightful psychedelics. Even more interesting, DMT is a natural brain hormone reserved only for exceptional spiritual experiences within a persons life and is the most potent psychedelic compatible with our neurology when taken via an external source.

  • I see it this way, not everybody has the ability to reach these spiritual states due to their daily life routines, stress, too much ego, or whatever else it is that keeps them "sleeping", for the lack of better words. So nature gives us these plants to help remind us who we are and wake us the Hell up. It's easier to transcend our minds the old fashion way (meditation) but it takes time and effort. Not everyone has the patience. Although quick and abrupt, psychedelics are a good alternative.

  • Oh LOL.. Starey eyes.. yeah that means yr czazy and ya lost it !

You are right in one way though. You should , if ya can, do it the long way.

No risk of poisoning and all that goes with it. [ Hospital, being sectioned, locked up as a loon etc..]

    Cool post. Kudos kiddo.

  • I do get where you are coming from [ What a bloody aweful phrase. ] But as a guy who does this stuff a lot I gotta say i'd be bloody difficult if I didn't use psychotropic modifiers. It is NOT for everyone though. Makes some people ill as hell.

  • Het kiddo I don't think there is anything wrong with me. What the hell is wrong with otherness ? I need altered states of consciousness to do my job. I can do it without drugs but it takes days rather than hours. This is just the details of jobbing shamanism/magick.

  • Every time you dream... Your Pineal gland is pumping an endogenous drug called DMT into your brain.

Entheogens are spiritual tools... Like any tool they can be used inappropriately or abused.

If you want to use the argument there is nothing wrong with me that is why I don't use entheogens...

Well, You must also use the same argument to material empirical tools like the telescope.

Do you really want to cut off the vast wonders of the universe as seen through the Hubble telescopic tool?

  • @batfly Poor analogy. A better one would be the bodybuilding steroid. When I say there's nothing wrong with us, I'm making the observation that the body and mind are designed to function a certain way, i.e. the way they ARE functioning, without chemical interference. We can certainly alter that function, physical or mental, with drugs. If we do, we should be aware of the consequences. I'm injecting a little reality into the careless notion "If it's amazing, it can't be bad for you."

  • @darrylsloan

I disagree with you... DMT is an endogenous entheogen...

I find it alarming you can make a judgment about something with which you admittedly have no personal empirical experience.

What are you basing this declaration upon... blind faith?

  • @batfly It's not a judgement. It's a call to caution when putting stuff into your body, that's all. I would urge the same sense of caution with medical drugs, which often are necessary to maintain health. You know a lot more about DMT than I do, and that's fine. Somebody once told me they were surprised about the insights I was communicating, having never taken drugs - which tells me I don't really need them. You should do whatever you think you should do, but they're not for me.

  • @darrylsloan

I wouldn't be surprised to find out your pineal gland naturally produces an abundant supply of DMT. It's an educated guess.

You have a naturally heightened sense of spirituality...

So why should we shamans who use entheogens somehow feel ashamed we require outside means to help tune in our minds?...

It's like someone with naturally 20/20 vision criticizing myopia sufferers for wearing clunky ugly corrective glasses or cornea damaging contact lenses.

    Just saying.

  • @batfly I hear you. My video was really more of a conversational piece on a subject that I'm inexperienced about (which I admitted). Just sharing a perspective, not making judgements.

  • @darrylsloan

    Cool man :)

    Live long and prosper!

  • I agree 100% on the falling asleep, just before you knock out and start to FEEL yourself, you say i'm there, that feeling is there and you know you are heading off.

When it happens to me I have this odd but really nice train of thought, that I can actually stay in that relaxed stage for as long as I want to. But at anytime I can tell myself to let go and then you just clonk out and fall asleep. I thought I was the only person who could feel that. I know what you mean.

  • +++

    spot on

  • i did it i can finally move the psi wheel!!!!!

  • Thank you for the response, I really do enjoy hearing your take on topics, they're always very intriguing.

  • Lucid Dreaming kicks the ass of any possible drug you could ever think of. The end. If you haven't experienced it, you're missing out on way too much in life.

The way I see drugs myself... It's a gamble. You might win something, you might lose it all. I'm personally not very inclined to gamble when the stake is my consciousness and my mind. I've also only taken maybe a sip of alcohol in my whole life, and I hated what it does more than Justin Bieber's hairdo.

  • Good video! I like your perspective

  • Moderate, prudent use by an intelligent individual such as yourself can be highly beneficial. I find it interesting that you say that our mind state is "perfect" or that we are not "meant" to alter it. These words may imply that we were designed... created. And that sounds a bit religious to me :) I see the brain as a labyrinth to be explored, and certain substances are like keys that can be found to access areas otherwise inaccessible. As long as you are smart about your use, you will be fine.

  • Psychoactive drug use, for me, is never about "fixing" something wrong, or "going" somewhere different or better. It's not about "improving" upon one's natural mind state in any way. It is about shifting one's focus; activating a more specific area of the mind and becoming a sort of temporary "specialist" of that area. There are certainly negative consequences to this, but really only for the kind of people who ruin the image of drug use by indulging and abusing them.

  • they are just experiencing the mind, they dont realize how powerful the mind is and when they go into it through drugs they think they are discovering and communicating with things of the beyond..but no, its in the mind. that is a dangerous assumption to make and people get trapped in their egos doing drugs. you are right, we are build perfectly and what the universe wants to reveal to us, it will in its own time.

  • The risks of dabbling in these drugs outweigh the rewards. Even if you don't go ape shit crazy (which I've seen ppl around me fall prey to) you will probably end up with one hell of an expensive drug addiction (it's not recreational once you can't 'kick the habit'). Waste of time, waste of money, waste of brain cells. It's all Pharmacia communion with negative interdemensionals (demons) anyways.

  • I believe such an intelligent and inquisitive person such as yourself Darryl would benefit greatly with experimentation.

  • I don't however believe it is necessary for us to take them though, I think there are many paths to enlightenment. Though I do strongly feel there is a connection between God (or whatever you wish to call this force) and the effect these chemicals have on us, it's no coincidence the incredible effects (long lasting, life changing in many instances) it has on us when we take them.

  • I think unless you actually experience what these psychoactive drugs can do to your mind your opinion while valid, is inexperienced. I have personally taken LSD and Psilocybin on a number of occasions and they have changed my whole perception on life. I believe these naturally occurring chemicals in mushrooms and such like are here to be used by us to help us expand our understanding of the universe and to evolve.

  • "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite"

  • I'm going to get my kicks before this whole shithouse goes up in flames

  • Couldn't help but agree whole heartedly with your views here. I myself am of the opinion that drugs, outside of obviously caffeine and the such like, but drugs subscribing to what you have just mentioned there plus the harder ones beyond that, are quite simply to be avoided. I have in my years witnessed some very unfortunate side effects on people who have experimented with softer and hard drugs. They do nothing but harm, full stop!

  • I am on to your antics Mr Sloan! You have purposfully put that jewellery outside your jumper and then made no remarks about it in your video, because your just wanting for us to ask you here in the comments section about it, haha. I like that you take the time on your videos for set and costume details. Also the shadow of Alien Vs Preditor in the bkg is nice. The books and the plain white paint on your wall. It all says a lot about you and I guess thats the point of it all really. Nice.

  • Personally, I think every drug is delusional.in the sense that they are mind altering.. including DMT. I know numerous people who have done DMT and didn't take much from... From what I've seen, it's most often only the spiritual people, or people looking for something spiritual in a drug, are the people who find something. Drugs allow the brain to explore various neuropathways with ease, pathways that would take tons of meditation to reach normally... Kind of like enzymes to spiritual evolution.

  • Imo, the effect and outcome of mind altering drugs on the mind of a person whose on a spiritual journey will only take from it what they desire.

I can not tell people enough how various drugs have aided my on my spiritual evolution.Though this is not something passive, it requires a desired input, a desire for understanding yourself. They allow you to see from alternate perspectives. If you go into a drug experience only looking for fun, its unlikely you'll make any spiritual realizations.

  • I smoke a lot of pot. But I don't know much about drugs.

  • @anzwertree

Good weed can be psychodelic ;) trust me ... first time trying it I went into a weird state of mind and I was talking to YHWH and Im near sure I was getting answers lol

  • @itstheTRUTH100 weird that you should leave this comment now. I am literally uploading a video about marijuana right as I type this. The Darkside of Marijuana. One of my favorites this year. It's uploading now. It should be up tonight some time. Strange... Stoner intuition, maybe? Or maybe I'm just too high....

  • I study psychoactive drugs academically, not just hallucinogens, anything that affects the CNS is psychoactive, even caffeine. Every molecule is like a molecular key that affects the machinery of the mind. Some keys are more useful than others, some weak, some strong. With very strong drugs like LSD, this literally causes the brain to malfunction, creating weird but not necessarily bad effects, like the idiot savants. But there are always side effects.

  • So with respect to spiritual awareness, they might be useful tools for offering a different perspective, by shorting out the parts of the brain that are most conditioned to physical reality, hence allowing the mind to obtain spiritual states more easily. But it is much less controlled than achieving the same through processes like meditation. Can it still be useful for spiritual purposes? Maybe once in a while. It shouldn't be the focus of one's life or spiritual path.

  • Oh and there arent any documented side effects, deaths or other problems of DMT. A special Tea which holds amounts of DMT allowed in select countries, and is used as a "religious" spritual trip

  • Check out DMT, i havent tried it but ive read and heard alot about it. It is the only "drug" which is naturally produced by the human body. And as a reply to Darryl about the "we are as we are meant to be" stuff: Maybe we have more potential than we use, just like we have 90% of DNA that "isnt" used according to popular sciences. As Joe Rogan explains taking DMT " If you didnt have a nose, how would you know if someone farted, DMT is like aquiering a sense which is dormant in the human body/mind

  • What's with the inverted pentagram?

  • The reason that people are not supposed to use drugs is purely biological on the plant's part. Harmful chemical effects from plants are their defense mechanism designed to deter the predator from eating the plant any further. Any creature that consumes a drug (whether natural or synthetic) will experience a negative side-effect.

  • taking drugs to get to these other realm is like taking a bullet train or a rocket pack . meditation is like a real nice stroll. i feel there is a positive and negative to taking them. you could take the rocket pack to that destination once then learn to stroll ( meditate) after to get there . at least you will know the destination once you get there . the harm is when you use it as your only means you will never have true knowing with just the drugs . it is all ways very good to be cautious .

  • Oh friend... drugs and inverted pentagrams?

  • Stimulate your brain using meditation. I recommend using ganja to facilitate meditation.

  • Around the 2:30 mark you speak of an altered state of consciousness threw meditation while entering sleep. I would be interested to hear you speak more on this subject.

  • Why do you wear the pentagram? BTW it's not PC to call them idiot savants they are simply referred to as savants.

  • Are you wearing a pentagram around your neck? If so can I please ask what the significance of this is? Sorry if that appears rude, just thought that may be relevant.

  • erowid(dot)org if you want to learn more about drugs. It goes into a lot of detail and some personal experience stuff from people who have taken the drug.

  • aahh, i like you darryl. i to am a man of science who delves into the esoteric :D
