Derrick Rose is really not the MVP. Lebron and Dwight are really above him statistically(not talking about basic stats, talking about advanced stats, player and team stats when on and off the court). Why is Chicago this good? their defence. Rose is an average defender, Chicago's defense actually get's better when he's not on the floor. His offensive numbers have increased, but yet Chicago is barely above average offensive team( 14th ). I know i will get hate, but i can back it up.

Dwight Howards numbers are also better but the magic too have plumetted. Rose has been the glue along with deng. that made us a great team

@I8yourcookie5, well scoring is awfully important, it is how a team wins the game by scoring more points than the other team. Look at Rondo's stats when he was in his third season. Rose is, BY FAR, better this season than Rondo was in his 3rd season. And I'm sure if Rose had three fellow all stars who were healthy for most of the season on his team he'd have a lot more assists. Rose can do what Rondo does; Rondo, with that awful jump shot and no outside game, could not do what Rose does.

Rose has shown that he can facilitate and rack up assists when his teammates hit their shots, and he can score when his team needs him to. Rondo can only do the former, and only very, very rarely do the latter. With the gap on D shrinking, Rose is, by any measure, the better player.
