  • Forgot to mention for the record............YES, PYRAMID SCHEMES are usually ILLEGAL too!! Just don't take my word for it......GOOGLE "Federal Trade Commission" and see for yourself!

  • You know what.......all the GOOD, LEGIT, WELL-PAYING jobs have been shipped overseas all in the name of shit-vomit corporations wanting the CHEAPEST labor they can get their hands on!! So what is left here in America??? B.S. service industry jobs, that's #1...............and then #2 "pyramid schemes" and "boiler rooms" for investment scams!!! Yay! So, why complain about it?

  • Amway global thats all i got to say

  • hhhhaaaaaa "breath"

  • your full of shit and going to die with nothing in your name and debt that your kinds will need to pay off

  • 44 people, tried the pyramid system

  • Snazzy is just an imbecile just prove that there are 10 year olds on videos trolling also I would be replying but im on mah phone

  • Yeah I tried a pyramid scheme. It's called Fred Meyer/ Kroger. Only they don't call it a pyramid scheme, they call it a organizational chart.

Jeremy, I'd like for you to search" I still think its a pyramid scheme". Watch that, then go ahead and try to argue...

  • @justjosh0123 Jeremy, there is a better video that you will like a whole lot better, it is called "I still think it's a Pyramid Scheme- The truth". BTW, working a Kroger may suck, but at least you get paid a minimum wage as opposed to losing money at a faux MLM franchise.

  • 97% of people who try a network marketing do not make money

  • Yep, pyramid schemes are evil, but in the end of the day they're just annoying people selling useless candy bars n' soap. The only pyramid scheme that's truly damaging is Primerica, which operates with legal impunity as a MLM and therefore masquerades successfully as a legal enterprise. They are the worst pyramid scheme because they actually sell (shitty) products with far-reaching financial consequences.

Don't forget PFS stands for Pyramid Filthy Scheme.

  • Bunny Ranch Pyramid letz do it!!! i owned n worked n developed MLM companies. its all a scam, u recruit ppl to do ur stealing for u. they steal n recruit others to steal n it goes on n on n u at the top make all yhe money =] selling unwanted products n getting paid for it by ur slaves! easy money!!!!

  • Bunny Ranch would be awesome

  • all jobs are pryamid schemes.

  • I suppose the term "Pyramid Scheme" is easily thrown at any new business using network marketers to spread the word of the business and attempt to make increase their sales, gotta love capitalism

Never-mind if the business is legitimate, and does things like pay taxes, possibly provide a much needed service or product to people. And allows people to create jobs for themselves that are only as productive as they are.

I guess we should go back to being plain old salesmen, to save our image for ya

  • @gaonasteve31... "priramid scemes IS one of the illuninati conspiracy playing card game"? WHAT??!! and btw, learn how to spell & use proper grammar BEFORE you try and make an educated comment - hahah!

  • PRIRAMID SCEMES IS ONE OF THE ILLUNINATI CONSPIRACY PLAYING CARD GAME.

MADE BY STEVE JACKSON IN 1995.

  • Pyramid schemes are illegal. Network marketing should NEVER be confused with pyramid schemes. It's like calling an apple an orange. With network marketing there are goods bought and sold. With pyramid schemes there is no exchange of any kind of product, simply money handed over. SORRY all you people who don't get it but before you make inane comments you might wanna do your homework. The only people who gripe are those who tried Network Mktg and failed to do the work necessary to succeed!

  • @dianafitno1 Agreed. People like this guy have a tendency to either look at this opportunity and immediately label it a pyramid scheme without taking the effort to find out if the company is legitimate, or they try it, fail, and THEN label it as a pyramid scheme because it wasn't the "get rich quick" thing they thought it was. It is possible to earn a substantial income from these opportunities (provided that they're legal) but it takes more effort than sitting around with a thumb up your ass.

  • @YavinMavin - absolutely! What you said!! :)

  • @dianafitno1 The sale of products is in no way a protection from anti-pyramid scheme laws. MLMs that sell useful, quality products have been prosecuted under anti-pyramid scheme laws. MLM is a legal form of business only under certain rigid conditions set forth by the FTC and state Attorneys General. Many MLMs are currently in violation of these guidelines and operate only because they have not been prosecuted.

  • Absolutely the best video I have ever seen on pyramid schemes! Having made my living in network marketing for 30 of the 35 years I have been in the industry, this is the ABSOLUTE BEST VIDEO on the subject. Admittedly so, I got sucked into a pyramid scheme one time. The meeting I was in was even raided one night by police and shut down. Here's a great video about pyramid schemes you'll like! Thanks again for such a great video. YouTube.com/watch?v=zZiw15VgWoI&feature=player_embedded

  • I actually tried one with my mom, we threw meetings of about 15-20 people every tuesday at my house, I made about 2,500 in 1 month, then the guy that invented it went to jail, but yah it did work i guess, i bought my ps3 a sweet camera and a laptop with my money oh ya!

  • this man is an entertainer and knows little of business

  • Yea i used to 'work' for a company called vector marketing. Yeah, it was bullshit. Look it up

  • @FuschiaLux Vector Marketing is a perfectly legitimate business. You failed at Vector Marketing.

  • How did it smell, down there with your head stuck so far up you're behind that you could see daylight? Probably about as bad as your opinion. Do you ever check up on the subjects that you make videos or are you one of the lame brains that have not had and original thought in your life? You probably think the government is going to solve all your financial woes when you wind up @ age 65 either dead or dead broke. Good luck on that!

  • Hey Jeremy, I''ve got a good story. It takes about two minutes. Might make you a lot of money, MIGHT NOT!!!! Wanna hear it?!!

  • just one thing i realized: When someone does not tell you in 30 sec. what your job is. Then explaines to you the ENTIRE business before they get to the point what YOUR job is. They ususally have bad shoes, a bad suit some kind of disability, and (males) have a earing hole. Yeah oh and they ask you one million questions about things a normal person would not know the answer of. the moment you have to pay for your job. learning something etc.

  • Ignorance + Arrogance = the herpes of Intelligent Society.....

  • FUCK GDI, i tried it for a while and havent had a signup or made any money.the person over me has made a total of $4 lol.i talked to someone who worked for gdi for 3 years and made next to nothing and was spending out more than he made.FUCK MLM and GDI

  • i live in a small town in CaLI. i built my network marketing business so now i get paid on EVERY product my company sells ACROSS THE WORLD. and i never leave my town. I help my people earn money and when I did that I became pretty successful. thank GOD i listened to my sponsor. I love Network Marketing!! Mona Vie for life!!

  • who is this NUBE?? lol network marketing set me free. and sorry jeremy i dont care how you dress, how you look or anything...i dont waste anyones time. ive brought 5 mothers home from working. loser. keep working at your sorry job

  • @revsoupbone and another this lazy ass people like you trash the name MLM so hard that is like a bad word now. So yes we use Network marketing. But I don't think anyone should take advice from you who said plan as day you are a Quiter! take your lazy ass to your job so you can get paid sleeping all day and stop saying misleading things about Network Marketing (MLM)

  • @revsoupbone well, by your statement you tried many. Sounds like you quit as soon as you started. Network Marketing (MLM) don't pay you for sitting on your butt. You have to do the work and sell products. don't expect to get paid because you just start the business. You have to put in the work. Most people like you are stuck on the job mentality where you can sit on your ass and get paid for nothing!

  • @davidgem Well That "Opinon" is very misleading and it gives Network Marketing a bad name. "Opinions" are powerful especially negitive opinons. These so called "Opinions" have people buying into that urban myth that Network Marketing is a pyramid scam. Keep you "Opinion" to yourself because it does more harm than good!

  • @JermyJahns You win the retard of the year award for talking about something you have no clue about.

  • @larry2299 Guys, chill the fuck out, it's an opinion.

  • at best. I've looked into MANY MANY MLM's and been involved in a number of them and, in spite of the magical promises of the hucksters, they all of them are worthless. Todays version of the snake-oil salesman. They all have the right answers for the inevitable questions. Wonderful stories of the multi millionaires in the structure. They are, of them, full of crap. I have a friend who is currently getting involved in one and I've been trying to dissuade him. MLM's are con games.

  • That's great! Didn't take long for someone to come in with "Network Marketing" the new stealth name for the scheme. Multi-Level Marketing was en vogue for a while, then folks get hip to that. If you think EVERYTHING is the same as the pyramid scheme structure then you don't quite understand. Yes, all product transfer is from one individual (or business) to another. That alone doesn't make it a pyramid scheme so don't try to justify it away like that, it's not a valid argument. It's disingenuous

  • This guy sounds like a retard. If anyone listen to this guy over Donald Trump, robert kiyosaki, or Warren Buffet are a fool.

  • This video is stupid. Dumb ass people like this guy has no idea what a pyramid scheme is. He sounds childish and retarded. Everything is a pyramid. If you go look for a job you are joinging a pyramid because you come in at the bottom and everyone else is at top earns all the money from the poor employee that will be trapped at the bottom for years while the CEO and owner of the company get rich. This guy s giving people bad info.

  • @crazychimp321 A pyramid scheme is where 1 person recruits another person WHEN THERE IS "NO" PRODUCT involved.....Only money being Exchanged from one person to the next.... A legitimate Network-Marketing Company (M.L.M) HAS A PRODUCT THAT IS SOLD....and the company gives you the Opportunity to build a Sales Forces just like a Real Estate "Broker" does when he brings on Real Estate "Agents" to sell houses for him....The Broker makes a commission off there efforts.... Same thing!

  • i can't believe my friends actually fell for it... give $100 to start up their business then ask more people to join... what a waste a of time... I gave my friend hours of my time when I could have been doing something productive to sit with idiots who think their is some miracle piece of technology everyone wants to buy... i actually might have fallen for it if i wasn't an engineer major... usually when people ask for money first! it is a scheme!

  • Dude, you are so uneducated and so dumb, you should be embarrassed of your self

  • Dude you've got lots of researching to do with regards to network marketing.. Pyramid schemes and legit network marketing are two different structures. Just saying..

  • My Dad owned a small trucking company that did very well for about 30 years. He made lots of money even when he was out taking my younger brother and I camping, fishing, waterskiing, snow skiing, etc...He was also always at all of our school and youth sporting events. He owned those trucks and paid his drivers a decent salary. All of his employees loved him. Yes, he owned a PYRAMID SCHEME in the form of a trucking company.

  • No my pyramid scheme didnt work.... :-(

So thank goodness i began my own business with a successful team of entrepreneurs :-) Now I'm happily financially free

  • i think you really should educate your self on network marketing

  • Walmarts a Pyramid Scheme that's probably who you work for! LOL Thats some funny shit man are you serious I make money all the time with Pyramid Schemes!

  • Actually, if you draw it out,,,, it's more of a trapezoid than a pyramid. Traditional corporations like Microsoft, or Coca Cola or General Motors would look more like a pyramid.

  • hahaha, nice to say that eh? your video remind me some quote "ppl cant do somth themselves, they want to tell you you cant do it."

    enjoy your 45yrs plan.

  • These are funny. I own a mortgage company and have about ten loan officers that I get a cut of. I run a Pyramid scheme I guess... I also am part of a network maketing company that works. To each his own. To all my networkers out there. You are looking for people that are looking. If someone tells you it's a pyramid scheme, let them go back to work.

  • yeah it happens. I can relate. People are bold. But I've never been in a pyramid scheme but I have started my own network marketing business and after 2 years of not doing so well(crappy) has now helped me leave my job (Jan 17 2011!). There are a lot of scams out there so be ware. There are also a couple decent business opportunities that would be worth the 30 minutes. Hope that helped.

  • Pyramid peolple = Illuminati!!

  • What do you do for a living?

  • I do see your point. And yes...there are a ton of people out there who get into MLM companies and try to sell other people on their "opportunity". However there are also a lot of legitimate business people who work in Network Marketing or MLM and the education you receive (if you follow the training) is phenomenal. Good network marketers are actually quite often recruited by Real Estate Companies, Mortgage Firms, and other big business because of their education and experience.

  • You also need to understand you can argue with people here all you want. But when Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, and other Billionaires and Multimillionaires support the industry of MLM or Network Marketing you don't really have the credibility to argue with that. I will agree with the fact that a lot of people do not go about trying to grow there business in a professional way and that is annoying...however it is a bit of a stereo type.

  • @MarkDormanGarage its all about finding a good mlm and jeremy.. there are no pyramid schemes anymore THEY'RE ILLEGAL!!! anyway let me ask everyone on this page are you successful in what you do.. are you an expert on success.. ( the answer is no and no if you were wondering) if you are then cudos to you but unless you play golf with your boss you not going anywhere in your company.. good post though mark

  • @MarkDormanGarage Bruce Springsteen has done very well in the rock and roll bidness, so maybe we should all do that. Oh, not enough room at the top for everybody to make money at it, you say? Well, that's a familiar situation, innit?

  • Here's a fun stereotype for you...you have a cheap suit and you have terrible posture leading me to believe you sit hunched over at a desk all day. You are probably an underpaid cubicle worker who buys things like Flat Panel TV's and bottles of Patron because you obviously know nothing of investing or business. Where that is true for about 90% of the people who look like you...it may not be. That's why a classy person wouldn't go saying all that.

  • @Mattlove1. I love you. lol

  • If I made this video & then watched it.I would honestly make SURE NO ONE EVER saw it.How embarrassing dude...lol.. soon he'll learn that the actual business structure to any "Corporation" is a "pyramid" even the one he works for.As is a Church,NBA,NFL look at the NCAA brackets! Turn them side ways! NOOOOOOOO! PYRRRRAMID! girl scouts viral marketing you name it;Pyramid. The only difference is the income levels in network marketing are available to ANYONE who does the work.NOT so in a Corporation.

  • @JCCGlobal I don't get embarrassed. Probably a personality flaw, but I like to think it enables me press on in life with no regrets. Did you post the first part of this comment once, then the full paragraph 3 more times? Because that might be misconstrued as an overly needy cry for attention.

  • @JeremyJahns its clear your quite uninformed about the subject. Think 2x before posting a youtube video on a buisness model that is perfect for the average american. Perfect in terms of leading financial authors. Some things are out there to get you, but in some NM companys you dont make anything from recruitment. its a direct sales market with mentors showing you what to do..... vs the other buisness model where you invest 2million and have to lease a building... sad theres a vid likethis

  • @JeremyJahns Pyramid schemes are illegal in U.S. Some companies follow a similar model, but they are referred to as "Network Marketing", or "MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing). They are legally allowed to conduct business in U.S. The only difference is that a pyramid scheme sells "scheme" while network marketing sells an actual product or service to customers through "Independent business owner" (the guy you met). I was in a company for 2 years - I made about $20 out of it. Hope you got the answer.

  • Comment removed

  • @JeremyJahns As soon as you hear something as ludicrous as "All corporations are pyramids" you know their IQs must be less than 50.

The difference is that with standard industry corporations the pyramidical structure is one of management hierarchy, responsibility or job title. In the case of a pyramid scheme (including "legal" ones aka MLMs) the pyramidial structure is one of remuneration.

Don't fight it. Leave the idiots alone at MLM. It makes for a great douchebag-itis quarantine.

  • @JeremyJahnns Dude, I love the replies you give to people that bash you. It just makes me wonder one thing: Will you be my new daddy? I don't eat much and I don't know the difference between right and wrong.

  • @JCCGlobal Another pyramid cultist. Exactly the same arguments as the xtranormal vid, it must be part of indoctrination. Corporations, church, and the girls scouts suck too, that's not much of an argument. But they don't have to buttonhole you, spam you, or collar you at family gatherings trying to get you to buy into the scheme. The products are quite incidental to the whole scam, much like military contracts, another dead in scheme that will eventually (or not so eventually) collapse.

  • @JCCGlobal You don't understand Pyramid schemes. A Pyramid scheme is form of Ponzi scheme. Like in the Ponzi scheme, the purpose of the Pyramid scheme is not ultimately to sell product. The purpose is to draw in other suckers. Often the actual process of selling returns a terrible $/h rate, but recruiting new people allows the "experienced" to profit off of them. The system is stable as long as new people are constantly joining, but when that stops...

  • @JCCGlobal Actually, in a corporation you can move up or get the experience you need to move up when you switch jobs. In a Pyramid scheme, you can only move up by duping others to follow you. Also, corporations understand the concept of balance and saturation. When something is called a 'Pyramid Scheme' its not the shape that being criticized, its the practice of intentionally way oversaturating the market that is. Result: It competes with itself, leaving the lower guys with all the losses.

  • @JCCGlobal fuck dude! seriously! we all know what his talking about. when jeremy says "pyramid scheme people" we have enough brain to know that he is talking about the annoying fucking sales people who tell you you can be your own boss and have financal freedom by 'X' age! Are you really that fucking slow?? piss off and think before you post comments that just scream for attention!

  • @JCCGlobal This guy is fucking funny as hell. You are probably some fat fucking retarded redneck who makes his money sucking off aids patients and you are mad because he is better looking then you/ exposing pyramid schemes. Also you have no life, friends, money. Eat a dick! :D

    Faggot.

  • @JCCGlobal Look I love Jermy Jahns videos but seriously let people think what they want to think. Not all Network Marketing or MLMs are pyramid schemes and Jeremy acknowledges that. So the conversation is over. . .right? Anyone who think they won't do well in something won't; end of story. I work in Network Marketing and I do well. I know people who do very well; family who does very well in MLM and Network Marketing so it's just an opinion.

  • If I made this video & then watched it.I would honestly make SURE NO ONE EVER saw it.How embarasing dude...lol.. soon he'll learn that the actual business structure to any "Corporation" is a "pyramid" even the one he works for.As is a Church,NBA,NFL look at the NCAA brackets! • What's the biggest pyramid scheme in the world? How about the Vatican? That's a really big one.

  • The people who are successful in building a home based business don't live in your neighborhood, or associate with your friends. I have personally met and seen the fruit of their labor of over 20 people in one company who make 250 to 800k per year and are job optional! Many live locally but not in my neighborhood.

  • @torybruce How do you know they don't live in your neighborhood? What about the biggest house on your block?

  • @heartuvgold Well I live in the biggest house on my block! And surrounding neighborhood!

  • @torybruce Good for you. Think about this though. Every business has an owner and employees or workers who start at the bottom and work their way up. Is this not a pyramid?

  • I always act interested and agree to meet up with the "mentors" for an iterview, but I actually never show up...lol

  • your funny man, wow im rolling in the floor laughin my ass off of how many funny you are, you are a freaking duchbag, that are missleading people about this legimit business, and seriously i just started this business, and is sad to see people like you that they have so much free useless time trying to get famous using others to get in the map, to get notice, it might sucks to be YOU, wow that was funny..... it sucks to be YOU, hahahahahah that was funny, anyways so yeah you are mmmm wow fuck up

  • @papitasmmm Yea...when you're gonna try and comment and show how stupid and ridiculous the other person is, it's a good idea to be able to spell "legitimate". And yea, proper punctuation?

  • @CTMitten So he's worth 1/3rd of million, but you got his girl. How did this happen? Maybe she got tired of him trying to sell her skin care products while they were having sex? You are treading on thin ice, my man, run as fast as you can away from this pyramid scheme, and keep your foxy girl, and spare yourself having to make those pushy and deceitful sales pitches.

  • I am not in a "pyramid scheme" but my fiances boyfriend before me makes 300K a year in Isagenix. Ive met him, seen the fruits of his labor, so i guess it works for some people!

I am a member of Pre Paid Legal, a "pyramid scheme" and i love their services!

  • I am in a network marketing company and have built a residual income. I have also been able to help some friends build residual incomes! How many people have you helped build a residual income? Lets see.... Warren Buffett, Richard Branson and Donald Trump all think that network marketing companies are great and YOU think they are all scams....Hmmmm. Have fun in your job for the next 30 years, I'm going to the beach!

  • @brothertimbob .....*hand claps*

  • Hearing people calling Amway a pyramid scheme makes my head hurt. The ignorance is that overwhelming.

  • LOLOL I wouldnt even want an ass-clown like this guy to be on team LMAO...for him to put all network marketing business in the same pot and call them pyramid schemes is just ONE example (that he provided nonetheless lol) that he is an absolute MORON!..LOL...wow!

  • @stlallstar How true. To equate a MLM to a pyramid scheme would be an insult to the pyramid scheme.

  • @jgiIles85 LOL smh...I guess U have a job too right? lol

  • 1:23 thats the Aztecs dude.

  • Yes Me, I'm a real person with incredible income and I sell way more than recruit, I hate offering crap to people. Please email me Jeremy my email is el3thomas@gmail.com maybe I can educate you on what's real and what's fake, btw I not interested in "recruiting you"

  • MLM’s nearly always lead to certain loss for new recruits. The founders and a few are at the top of their pyramids of participants are enriched at the expense of a multitude of downline participants, approximately 99% of whom lose money. The sale of products is distributor-driven, not market driven. Most products are sold to new participants to get in on this “ground floor opportunity.” Very few products are sold outside the "business". One more reason MLM is a Pyramid Scheme.

  • @MLMpyramidScam Network Marketing is the best kind of business to be in. Why would a person follow a no name person like you that but Network Marketing down? You can believe it's a scam but I've seen people go from broke to owning multi million dollar homes and drive expenvive cars he can buy a new lamborghini a month and bought his mom a 3 million dollar home near his house. I bet you have a job and living pay check to pay check.

  • you know that every job in all of the universe is a pyrimid sheme because ur never going to get up to the point of the top of the company so think about it this way. u flip fries at mcdonalds, so now do u ever think u r going to make more money then the guy at the top.. NO! because he is never going to let u so in total they're just ppl trying to make a bussiness just like every other company out there, just they r doing it a different way. and jeremy i'm a big fan but really i hope u read this

  • @xpendabletroop : The sale of products does not protect against anti-pyramid-scheme laws or unfair trade practices set forth in federal and state law. MLM is a legal form of business only under rigid conditions set forth by the FTC and state attorneys general. Many MLMs are violate these guidelines and operate only because they have not been prosecuted.

  • @xpendabletroop all these smug MLM dupes saying people don't know what they're talkng about. you for one don't - you don't flip fries, you flip burgers. I made more money - an actual wage - at McDonald's than in Shaklee - a few bucks, and its a whole lot less humiliating. I'm glad to leave both behind, and certainly hope I never have to do either again. I'm glad you enjoy being a scum sucking bottom feeder, but I want no part of your cult.

  • @mattlove1 its not for everyone... who's gonna flip my burgers when i'm out eating McDonalds... YOU ARE. Your meant to stay where you are in this world because you've been conditioned. You never should have tried MLM you were forever meant to be a slave to the modern day cult of the industrial industry. I on the other hand choose the information age of networking and building legitimate business's. PROFITS are better than WAGES.

  • @Zuiit164 Uh.... no. You at least know the difference between burgers and fries, so you have a leg up on that other guy, but your reading comprehension is dismally low. I said I put McDonalds behind me a long time ago, and pyramid schemes as well. If you've found a way to make money by moving electrons around, good on you, just don't be shoving them at me, and we'll get along fine.

  • @mattlove1 excuse me i didn't say i was in one so u can stop being an asshole tough guy on the internet ok and second of all not everyone who comes up and to u and says they have a bussiness thing for u means they r trying to get u in MLM so how about u go work at mcdonalds and i'll do my thing as a bar tender and u have a nice day ;p

  • @xpendabletroop my ex-wife's family was big into this stuff, 3 generations of MLM cultists. One Thanksgiving there was a big family gathering, and her uncle stood up to make a little speech... in a bit we realized it was morphing into a pitch for some kind of food processor! Even that batch of weirdos thought he went a little too far that time. If your not in one, keep up the good work, people don't like you when your pitching shit at them all the time under false pretenses.

  • @mattlove1 And keep up that bartending, Next time my band is in your town, I'll come by and buy a drink

  • @mattlove1 i know it's not but my point was that all major coperations r pyrimid schemes too they r just allowed by the government

  • @mattlove1 you made me lol, thanx i needed that.Im currently unemployed and have been for a long time and tried gdi to make money using my gf internet and that turned out to be a scam,im gonna keep my head and keep looking for work, mlm people act like you cant take out a business loan while working and start up your own legit and legal business.they think you have to do it mlm way to make serious $.peace

  • Like it or not, there are some annoying videos out there like this one, that make a stereotyped assumption and if someone approaches you.....Oh no!!! It's one of those THINGS, a pyramid scheme, a cult or it's AMWAY. I know it's fun to jump on the, "It's a pyramid scheme" bandwagon but those that make an educated unbiased judgment will realize the existance of legitimate business models like direct sales/ marketing and multi commissioned distributorships does not equal a SCHEME...

  • @Stagliano27 Yes it does becaue the emphasis is on chain recruiting and forcing the distributors to buy product. Very little money ever comes from OUTSIDE the business. That is why it is a product based Pyramid Scheme.

  • @sbohandley Oh handley, such a generic, antiquated and stereotyped argument. First off, recruiting is not an inherently evil concept. The sales industry in general recruits for talent and has a very high turn over because sales requires an entrepreneurial and self motivating mindset and for most it's easier to fall back to a traditional job where work is processed and not have to create a client base. Secondly, MLM does NOT equal pyramid scheme. What I do, the end product destination is the -

  • consumer. There is no autoship or forced internal consumption. Plus, just over 100,000 agents and nearly 7 million clients, thus not meeting federal definition a pyramid scheme or even your play on words (product-based pyramid scheme) as an attempt to say ALL mlm is a pyramid scheme, which again, FTC's definition draws a distinction between....and you are?????

  • p.s. Sadly my business is not a Global, Worldwide Business, but we do okay from the 4 countries we currently operate from (UK, Ireland, Holland and Germany)

Pyramid schemes were outlawed in the UK market back in the 1970's

    MyKleenezecom/jasonleigh

  • Very funny video Jeremy, and yes pyramid schemes are the herpes of the job market.

You may not have heard about an 87 year old British Company called Kleeneze

alot of people confuse Network marketing with Pyramid Schemes but on further investigation and due diligence there are some great business out there that for the common man/woman can really make a financial difference in their life.

  • lol predator nice add in

  • I've been suckered into network marketing (pyramid scheme) twice and always ended up in the scrap heap.

  • Thanks for posting this. There is every need for this video and others like it. These are nothing more than scams as you visually explained.

  • To answer your question. I am involved in network marketing. It is working very nicely. 9 out of 10 small business fail. 9 out of 10 people who attempt network marketing fail. No need for this video.

  • @palacasi like they say "Fake it, until you make it".

  • You deserve more views.

  • Vector/Cutco.

    Look them up.

  • LORD JESUS IS PEACE!

  • @bass109 Jesus also sells pyramid schemes!

  • the creepiest guy tried to get me to join his pyramid scheme - ya, im pretty sure that a toothless 30-sumthing guy who randomly walks up to a group of 20 year old girls on the bus actually sells MAKE UP!

  • Just frustration. Anyone with half a brain can see it's not a sustainable model of business. It only works when the people at the bottom fail and fall off, only to be replaced by more people who are lured in, scammed and again, fall off... just serving those right at the top.

Come to think of it, the entire structure of society is basically a pyramid. A whole bunch at the bottom, a bit in the middle and a very few minority at the top...

  • Primerica, Farmers, ACN

  • Even though this vid is kinda tounge n cheek, it's still a pretty ignorant blanket criminalization of any other business model outside of four walls and a time clock. So by this logic, if someone approaches you about an opportunity, then that is a pyramid scheme?? With FTC definition, there is a distinction made between illegal pyramid schemes (all pyramid schemes are illegal) and legit MLM as a business model of distrabution? I don't like schemes either, nor do I like ignorant based videos.

  • @MouthforWar78 Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it is good for them. MLM isn't direct selling. Your upline makes money off you and you make money off your downline. That is a pyramid scheme.

Also, you don't make money at MLM without recruiting. But, they force everyone to buy lots of their product. The recruiters are the consumers and the consumers are the recruiters. Don't you see that this isn't sustainable?

  • @sbohandley "MLM isn't direct selling. Your upline makes money off you and you make money off your downline. That is a pyramid scheme." No actually, that is called capitolism. That is how our economic system functions. Distributor sells to store, store sells to consumer, with profit being made till final purchase.

" you don't make money at MLM without recruiting" That's funny because I can use my licenses and write buisness on a client and make money WITHOUT recruiting, hmmm-

  • Don't you see that you are making generalizations about something you THINK you know about???

  • @MouthforWar78 If you can make money without recruiting, it is direct selling not a MLM pyramid scheme. The problem is most MLM"s are recruiting based and not direct selling.

  • @sbohandley Ok, to get paid for recruiting is illegal, that denotes a pyramid scheme and just because YOU as with many other lump it all together (MLM=Pyramid scheme) it is not the case by federal definition. In fact true MLM exists in car dealerships, real estate brokerages, mutual fund/ financial services brokerages. MULTI LEVEL commission splitting, pretty much defines the mainstream sales industry. A pyramid scheme is something different altogether.

  • @MouthforWar78 Getting paidd for recruiting is illegal. MLM's circumvent this by paying people for downline sales numbers and monthly quota's to maintain their commission which are virtually unattainable without recruiting. That is why MLM is a "Product based" pyramid scheme. The product is a front. Yes, mainstream business are multilevel, but they pay wages, and don't force you to buy their products and charge you money to work for them. They don't exploit your friends and family for money.

  • BUNNEH RANCH !

  • i actually used a legitimate p sceme. ir worked too butnobody belived me -hangs head in shame-

  • You got caught in the Cutco pyramid too? Those guys really know how to lure people.

  • SCREW PYRAMID SCHEMES! i use square schemes.

  • Jumpy jump cuts

  • yeah, it didn't work out.

  • Jeremy have you ever gotten the...

"Okay here's what you do, you a bunch of people put 200 dollars in a deposit, and you get 100 back" pyramid scheme?

    or even the

and then when I got hit with the "hey i have a multi-dimensional business im starting up, for 5 dollars a day you'll automatically be made vice president and will have acess to all of its features... we'll never start the business btw"

besides this one what other schemes have u been hit with?

  • Pyramid schemes always fail in the end, take out the funds that are meant to keep coming in and the entire thing collapses. So to my knowledge no, I have NEVER seen a pyramid scheme work. It's also like an STD. You can protect yourself from it, but there are some dumb people out there who think it's a good thing at the time but then realise that the one who got you into this has fucked you up real bad

  • i know this sounds retarted, but im 13, so bare with me, what is a pyramid scheme?

  • @crazychimp321 Hmmm. Might be easier to google it. It's where one person recruits someone to sell shit for him. ANd that person recruits people, and the next person and so on. All the while the people who recruit people get a cut of everyone who comes after them....basically.

  • nope

  • jeremy FTW!

  • I know someone who was ALMOST sucked into a pyramid scheme. Even after 4 different people told him it was a scam he was going to join it. Took his dad about an hour to tell him it was a bad idea.

On the flip side, I've gone to a couple of job interviews that turned out to be those awesome (craptastic) scam jobs like selling As Seen On TV crap or stationary door to door.

  • i tried to work for pre paid legal service. kinda lame. i didnt participate that long in it

  • Bunny Ranch and Jesus Ranch

  • lol wtf does sxephil have to do with this vid? lol a lot of hate towards that guy.

  • I put in $400 in a "program" once I got in early and made $8000 it was Epic. They say you have to keep putting the money in for it to keep working but as soon as I got my cash I was GONE.

  • I was able to survive a "pyramid rape" from a co-worker a few weeks ago...poor guy has no idea he's in the middle of a pyramid scheme. You would think he would get it after he makes the shape of a pyramid when he describes the logistics of it.

  • Yeah Amway tried that on me, it was under a subsidiary name that I can't remember now....guess who didn't DO ITTTTT???

for dumb-asses I mean me of course.

  • Who are the two troglodytes who thumbs downed this video? I'll kill 'em.

  • Cutco is a pyramid scheme that has been around forever

  • @N0VA82 Yeah, but Cutco knives are amazingly bad ass!

  • @JeremyJahns Oh I know they are extremely bad ass, cut myself on my first demo. hoorah lol

  • @JeremyJahns I worked for them for a while; I hated it, But the knives are friggin awesome.

  • whats sad right now is....you have to be VERY careful what jobs you apply to online now....most of them are false postings trying to get your personal info .....it sucks that company's take advantage of us unemployed...hope your surgery went well....***get well hugs***
