One thing I found extremely annoying, is that you suggest neocons put Israel first. The idea that there's a political cabal of americans whose allegiance is to Israel and not to America is typical anti-semetic demagoguery. Wanting to defend Israel is not putting Israel first. America sacrificed far more blood and treasure to secure France's sovereignty than it ever has for Israel. And yet it's rarely said that America puts France first.
The worst thing about libertarians is that they they seek a return to an isolationist and militarily-weak America that actually used to pay Islamic fanatics not to attack it. Look up the Barbary Wars. Yes, Muslim fanatics will attack America based no more than their religious convictions, and not because of American foreign policy, they set that precedent shortly after America's founding. Look it up.
@ssj4gogetassj4 The question I would ask you is, would you support keeping military spending at a level that ensures america has the strongest military? As America reduces defense spending, other nations are increasing theirs. Libertarians often say that state militias can fulfill the task of protecting the nation, and that a standing military isn't required. You might not realize it, but as a canadian, we also benefit from a strong U.S. military.

This young lady does an excellent job pointing out how vastly incompatible Libertarians and Republicans are, and how Libertarians despise Republican values.
But, do you think it's a good idea to be telling the truth to Republican primary voters? They may want to vote for someone who is a real Republican.
@jackbarbara 2 things: First, Republicans used to be an anti-war and aggression party, and held members that were actually fiscally conservative (a rare commodity today). Second, neoconservativism was "grandfathered" by Irving Kristol, whom was a devout Trotsykist; Leon Trotsky was a Leftist as it gets, sporting an "Obey or Starve" philosophy. Libertarianism is deep in the roots of this country's founding, while the Republicans just happen to have lost their way
@jackbarbara just because the traditionally conservative republican party has been overrun by neoconservatives doesn't mean that Libertarians and republicans are incompatible. Ron Paul is merely driving the Republican party back to its roots. Billy Krystol, a neoconservative, has recently decried Ron Paul saying that the republican party would be better off without him.
@srallsop17 - This is no way to woo a woman. Go buy a gold ring with a diamond. It should cost nothing less than $1000 at the minimum. Besides, you need to also find a job, and I don't mean flipping Ham Burgers at McD's
@ssj4gogetassj4 "A couple decides to have sex and they dont want to commit (too lazy or too poor)
and they have abortion... thats sick."
Exactly what part of it is sick? Are you saying that a person who believes his pursuit of happiness does not involve kids (is that a good enough reason for you?) shouldn't be having sex?
I too use to repeat most of what “they” say, now I find it funny how often when I do hear them they are repeating what I say…Of course mixing it with their own brand of error…
The bottom line is that from what I can tell, women already prefer birth control methods to abortions. So any abortions that happen now, happen despite all of the precautions. Banning abortions will lead to people who act on impulse having more kids, and this will not be good for the country. As well, anyone who thinks the government can make these choices for the people, does not care about liberty and should not be the president. He would be unelectable, too.
@Billbauer222 Can you imagine that between 1973-2008. 50 millon americans were aborted? That is more people then died during ww2.
"Banning abortions will lead to people who act on impulse having more kids, "
Did you know despite only making out 10-12% of the population blacks stand for 35% of all abortions. Are you saying that you an american with less black people?
@Wylff "Can you imagine that between 1973-2008. 50 millon americans were aborted? That is more people then died during ww2." This is a beautiful statistic. The lives of 25 million couples were not ruined. I would imagine unwanted children would be more prone to violence, so it is awesome that we don't have to deal with them now. Imagine the number of the (actual) people who didn't become crime victims.
@Billbauer222 There is no such thing as an unwanted child. You're wrong again. There are more couples on the waiting list to adopt in the U.S. than there are abortions in the U.S..
You honestly believe the death of millions is a "beautiful" statistic? You're deranged.
@whitemagnolia86 Fetuses are people to the same extent as sperm are people. Most sperm are potential people (some are deformed). That doesn't mean that you kill hundreds of millions when you ejaculate. The Parents, on the other hand, ARE people. Do YOU have stats that show that the majority regret their decision to abort? This is completely irrelevant, of course. We have a right to liberty, even though liberty might result in actions some (even future us) don't like.
@Wylff IMHO, human life begins when one becomes conscious. My earliest memory is being 4 years old. In any case, one is not conscious when one is in the womb. Women have a period every month, and that's when one of their eggs "dies". Mourning eggs and sperm is insane.
@Billbauer222 "human life begins when one becomes conscious. My earliest memory is being 4 years old. "
Then smashing your head against a rock when you were 3 would be ok? =)
"Mourning eggs and sperm is insane. "
IMHO, life begins when the egg is fertilize and a human starts to grow. At that point if you do not abort it, it will grow into a human, if you do abort it, you will end that humans life. The question is simple, if you were aborted, would you be alive today?
@Wylff "Then smashing your head against a rock when you were 3 would be ok? =)" Let's just say that it is clearly the case that babies under 6 months of age are not self-aware. At 2 or 3, it is not as clear. What matters, though, is the self-awareness of a fetus that is younger than 6 months.
@Billbauer222 Well, I am afraid we must agree to disagree then. Smashing the head of babies or aborting fetuses all ends the life of a human that would be alive if those actions had not been taken. Thought it may not be murder due to the state legalizing it, just like executing a person not is murder cuz the state approves of it. It is definitely killing, the ending of a human life, no matter how you look at it.
@Wylff "ends the life of a human that would be alive if those actions had not been taken."
You DO realize that choosing to "not take an action" is completely equivalent to choosing to take an action. In other words when I choose not to use my sperm to fertilize an egg, it also results in a person not living.
Put another way, choosing to do nothing is not neutral, it is also a choice that has consequences. By your logic, ejaculation ends lives. Millions of them.
@Billbauer222 "You choosing to "not take an action" is to take an action"
Oh I see, so If I shoot you in the head, it is the same as if I plan not to have a child? That totally makes sense!
"By your logic, ejaculation ends lives."
No. Sperm are not developing humans. A fedus is. If you kill a fedus, you end a human life. If you ejaculate you do nothing. Fedus is a stage in the development of a human life. Fedus ->Baby ->Child ->Teenager ->Adult - >old ->dead.
As for stages of development - who wrote down the stages? Is there an actual reason not to include "egg and sperm" as part of the stages?
You were the one who made the ridiculous statement that shooting someone in the head is ANYTHING like having an abortion. I just used your own "arguments" to show to you what they imply. Are you trying to pretend that you don't understand? In any case, I am not religious, but I like Jesus' quote: "don't throw pearls before swine."
@Wylff Your argument is that we have an obligation to ensure that all humans who Could be born, get to be born. Failing to do so is murder. This means that, to you, there is no difference between "developing human" and "potential human". I showed to you how ridiculous your stance is, and it looks like you chose to pretend not to understand what I told you. You said it was MY idea that shooting someone is the same as planning not to have a child. But it is what YOU are implying.
@ssj4gogetassj4 "They can use protection but they should know that its not perfect.
These people need to deal with the "consequence". "
That's like saying that people drive cars that have imperfect safety features. Victims of car crashes should not be treated - deal with consequences. This, despite the fact that doctors can help many of those accident victims.
@Wylff Taking your arguments to the logical conclusion, people who abstain from sex are murderers. They deny all of their potential kids the right to live. Every woman ought to get pregnant every 10 months between the ages of 18 and 48. Anyone who has only 5 kids has denied life to 25 people. A woman who hasn't been pregnant for 9 months in a row has denied life to a person. Unfortunately she is not considered to be a murderer under the current law. Maybe this ought to be changed.
@Wylff "The question is simple, if you were aborted, would you be alive today?"
I can take a sperm and use it to fertilize an egg. Then I could ask the person who ends up being born - "had I just ejaculated (without going through the process of using one of the sperm to fertilize your mom's egg), would you be alive today?!" Oh, NO, we need to ban ejaculation now - it is the equivalent of millions of abortions.
@whitemagnolia86 When I said "conscious", I meant "self-aware". Clearly, say, cows are more self-aware and conscious than embryos. It is this awareness that matters. The owner of a cow is free to end its life. A mother is even more of an owner of everything (even the alien-like little snot-tumors) inside of her body, and the cost of the death (measured in terms of consciousness and self-awareness) is even lower for abortions.
@whitemagnolia86 I said that without abortions MORE breeding will be done by people who don't take the time to plan their own future. Do you see my point now?
@Billbauer222 I don't think it makes a difference. The only thing that will prevent the stupid from breeding is ending government assistance programs. Until that happens, the stupid will abuse government policies which ensures the stupid will breed, the complete opposite of eugenics.
- This country killed tens of thousands of German civilians.
- This country killed tens of thousands of Japanese civilians when the Hydrogen Bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Both cities had minor military significance, but both were cities with the highest concentration of Roman Catholic Japanese.
- This country bombed Belgrade, Yugoslavia and murdered countless Orthodox Christians, and choose side with the Muslims in order to make Saudi Arabia happy.
It killed a lot more then that, it killed tens of millions of German civilians. And it did so by design from 1945-1947 the USA government planned to starve 25 million Germans and make Germany into a agricultural state. During two years, the Germans were feed an average of 800 kcal each day.You require 2500 everyday not to starve. They eventually stop as they worried west German would become communist.
@Search4diabetescure Uh, the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were atomic (fission) weapons not hydrogen (fusion) weapons.
This country helped build schools in Costa Rica and helped to rebuild after a devastating mudslide in Honduras. We also helped to extinguish the oil well fires in Kuwait. We also give tons of aid money both charitable and public to other countries.
@XmXFLUXmX2 Patriots are idiots? Normal Conservative of what? Who would legalize drugs? You couldn't be talking about Ron Paul who wants to legalize it at the federal level and allow the states to decide its legality because that would follow the constitution and separation of powers. There's no way any state would legalize drugs. I don't understand who wants drugs to be legal and therefore available. What does this have to do with anything?
Also, libertarians are not Patriots, they are sellouts. They would do anything and everything for a dollar. That's why I don't support them, because there's no moral grounds with libertarian beliefs, it's all just "What's good for the economy? Oh legalizing crime will give us a net gain of 100 million dollars, fantastic!".
@XmXFLUXmX2 The definition of Libertarian in the English language is patriot. You must be thinking of "Libertine".
Hmm, what does Ron Paul do that would benefit the elite? What big corporations fund his campaign? Most importantly, what policies of his prove he is corrupt? What's wrong with being concerned about the current economy crisis? Here you go with crime again, I explained that already. Enough about him, who do you support and why?
@lolatlibtards Typical leftist reject: "AAAGGGH ISRAEL". The reason why you guys are retarded is because all you care about is the money, you dumbasses want to legalize drugs etc.
Libertarians are just lefties pretending to be Conservative.
@StormSpirit20 If the government starts to force women to give birth to all embryos, United States will become even more of a hell hole than it is now. So, yes - it IS a deal breaker as far as I am concerned. I am a libertarian, and I don't believe Ron Paul is really a libertarian.
@Billbauer222 No woman has to have a baby she is not ready for OR have an abortion. With innovative modern medicine, there is birth control in many forms and even the morning after pill is OTC now. Abortions can be dangerous and should be avoided. Today there is hardly any reason to have one. If someone is not responsible, choosing to give a newborn to loving and eager parents would be the gift of a lifetime for them. I advocate responsibility, not abortion.
@whitemagnolia86 That's EXACTLY my point - if you ban abortion than the people who are the LEAST responsible will end up breeding more, and that can't be good. As for adoptions, I think nature/genes is as important as nurture. I might be responsible, but I don't want my destiny to be determined by how responsible my female parter is. If she takes a chance and doesn't take the morning after pill, I don't want her to be out of options.
@whitemagnolia86 When people use condoms, the woman will not be interested in the morning after pill. Yet condoms have a typical use failure rate of 15% per year. This implies that over 80% of couples who use condoms will end up with at least one child after using condoms for 10 years.
@StormSpirit20 A ban on abortions would not help the future crime rate. Such a ban would also imply that men like me (who are serious about not wanting to become a father) would basically not be able to have sex (unless it is with a woman who is 50+).
@Billbauer222 Wait a second, have you ever heard of birth control in its many forms? Any idea male birth control medication is being developed? Condoms (male and female), OTC morning after pill, IUD, patch, shot, oral birth control, pull out method combined with another form, cervical clamp, sponge, intrauterine devices, implantable rods, surgical sterilization, (there's even more). Any of that ring a bell? You really think w/out abortion you can only sleep with a 50 year old? LOL
@whitemagnolia86 Recently it was in the news that the second generation of the Pill was found to have the same health side effects as the first generation. If I was a woman I would never take the pill. The pill have been available for 50 years and the doctors keep learning horrible things about it. So I would want to wait many years after the male birth control is on the market before I would be convinced that it is safe.
@Billbauer222 How many have problems? It can take a while to get the exact pill and dosage right. Most have no problems with it, blood clotting and such side effects are rare. I've actually talked to a board certified OB/GYN about this, where is your information coming from? Okay, you would want to have your girlfriend risk complications of abortion but not risk taking the dreadful pill...
@whitemagnolia86 "You really think w/out abortion you can only sleep with a 50 year old?" As a man, I don't have any birth control options. I wouldn't trust my partner not to get pregnant against my will. (I would need to know her for 5-10 years before I could trust her, but I am not interested in that.) So I am Already limited to gals in their 50s and 60s.
@whitemagnolia86 Ever heard of post-vasectomy pain syndrome? Something like 2% of men who get a vasectomy end up having to live with "chronic, lifelong, debilitating pain." Not for me.
@Billbauer222 Then choose another of the many options available. How many suffer from complications due to abortion? You're not swaying me my pointing that out.
@Billbauer222 As a 50 yr old why not get a vasectomy then? Also, it is not your right to tell a woman to get an abortion. Do you really make an agreement with girls you have sex with beforehand that they will get an abortion if she becomes preggo?
@StormSpirit20 I am not 50 years old. I am in my mid thirties. As I pointed out earlier, something like 2% of vasectomies result in post-vasectomy syndrome - life-long, chronic, debilitating pain. This is not a risk I am willing to take. Back when I was taking risks of having intercourse with fertile women, I would not even consider a woman who would tell me that she is not sure what she would do if she became pregnant.
@cherrypopsiclesful I browse stuipidfront when I am feeling down so I can be reminded that we Jews control absolutely everything in the world & I am just imagining that I have a shitty job, no power and my family isn't worth millions.
@TrollinMustakrakish Cool story, bro. Believe me, I read stormfront all the time so I realize 'The Jew' is responsible for everything bad. You guys over there are so smart, it's too bad the sheeple don't see the world through your enlightened eyes.
Ron Paul is the only candidate worth a vote in this election. You can tell from his enthusiasm that he truly means what he preaches, and I am sure that he will do his best to put it all into practice, unlike Obama. It's time to vote for peace and leave the warmongers out of presidency for a change. Thank you for sharing your story!
Just subbed. Really like the delivery in this video. Smooth, soft tones. Good pauses. Well delivered communication. However, the word "libertarian" puts many off, so some don't use it. Also, there is nothing conservative about the Republican party.
The folks at WhiteNewsNow do a pretty good job at informing people. But , when all is said and done, how refreshing is it to see real young ladies deliver such a message? It's great.
I have finally found someone worth voting for; Ron Paul. It seems to me that the candidate that the news media tries to ignore, is probably the person that should get the job.
You're such a sweetheart, but let me ask you a question: what happens to the poor people that cannot afford private schools, private healthcare and insurances and all that good stuff, under the Ron Paul's utopia? I do really like Paul's ideas, but this one thing makes the hair on the back of my head stand up.
Sorry your to late, your constitution just got thrown away by your government. america is now a battlefield and anyone who opposes the government is considered a terrorist witch now "by a new bill" they can jail you in military prisons indefinitely without trial. so goodluck being slaves americans.
Why most internet users seem to be pro Ron Paul (at least in the polls) whereas in the US general population it doesn't seem to be the case? What is so different on Internet from the rest of the world? I guess many would consider them rhetorical questions.
One thing I found extremely annoying, is that you suggest neocons put Israel first. The idea that there's a political cabal of americans whose allegiance is to Israel and not to America is typical anti-semetic demagoguery. Wanting to defend Israel is not putting Israel first. This young lady does an excellent job pointing out how vastly incompatible Libertarians and Republicans are, and how Libertarians despise Republican values.
But, do you think it's a good idea to be telling the truth to Republican primary voters? They may want to vote for someone who is a real Republican.
jackbarbara 2 months ago
@jackbarbara
What is a real Republican though? Its certainly not the Neocons.
The US needs to get rid of the Zionists and Neocons. Get a 4 party system (maybe)
and let the people have their say.
ssj4gogetassj4 2 months ago
@ssj4gogetassj4 - I see. So, tell me, how does it "make you feel to know these facts?"
- United States systematically murdered hundreds of thousand of German civilians during and after the war.
- US killed German soldiers prisoners of war through starvation and exposure
- Holocaust was a war time propaganda. 6 million Jews did not die. Only less than 500,000 died at the hands of the Germans and through disease
- 1 million Iraqi civilians murdered by Americans
Search4diabetescure 2 months ago
@jackbarbara 2 things: First, Republicans used to be an anti-war and aggression party, and held members that were actually fiscally conservative (a rare commodity today). Second, neoconservativism was "grandfathered" by Irving Kristol, whom was a devout Trotsykist; Leon Trotsky was a Leftist as it gets, sporting an "Obey or Starve" philosophy. Libertarianism is deep in the roots of this country's founding, while the Republicans just happen to have lost their way
rigatony1892 2 months ago
@jackbarbara just because the traditionally conservative republican party has been overrun by neoconservatives doesn't mean that Libertarians and republicans are incompatible. Ron Paul is merely driving the Republican party back to its roots. Billy Krystol, a neoconservative, has recently decried Ron Paul saying that the republican party would be better off without him.

I used to be confused about the abortion issue.
But I have to say I am proLife.
Western civilizations birth rates are low
and people are killing babies for no reason.
A couple decides to have sex and they dont want to commit (too lazy or too poor)
and they have abortion... thats sick.
The only time abortion is okay is if the mothers life is endangered and thats somewhat rare.
Im sick of Liberals and their lack of morals and im sick of neocons wanting WARS.
Choose something in the middle :)

@ssj4gogetassj4 "A couple decides to have sex and they dont want to commit (too lazy or too poor)

Exactly what part of it is sick? Are you saying that a person who believes his pursuit of happiness does not involve kids (is that a good enough reason for you?) shouldn't be having sex?

The bottom line is that from what I can tell, women already prefer birth control methods to abortions. So any abortions that happen now, happen despite all of the precautions. Banning abortions will lead to people who act on impulse having more kids, and this will not be good for the country. As well, anyone who thinks the government can make these choices for the people, does not care about liberty and should not be the president. He would be unelectable, too.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 Can you imagine that between 1973-2008. 50 millon americans were aborted? That is more people then died during ww2.
"Banning abortions will lead to people who act on impulse having more kids, "
Did you know despite only making out 10-12% of the population blacks stand for 35% of all abortions. Are you saying that you an american with less black people?
Wylff 2 months ago
@Wylff "Can you imagine that between 1973-2008. 50 millon americans were aborted? That is more people then died during ww2." This is a beautiful statistic. The lives of 25 million couples were not ruined. I would imagine unwanted children would be more prone to violence, so it is awesome that we don't have to deal with them now. Imagine the number of the (actual) people who didn't become crime victims.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 "The lives of 25 million couples were not ruined."
Hahaha, please show me statistics on how many parents say they would have aborted their children if given a second chance.
Wylff 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 There is no such thing as an unwanted child. You're wrong again. There are more couples on the waiting list to adopt in the U.S. than there are abortions in the U.S..
You honestly believe the death of millions is a "beautiful" statistic? You're deranged.
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@whitemagnolia86 Fetuses are people to the same extent as sperm are people. Most sperm are potential people (some are deformed). That doesn't mean that you kill hundreds of millions when you ejaculate. The Parents, on the other hand, ARE people. Do YOU have stats that show that the majority regret their decision to abort? This is completely irrelevant, of course. We have a right to liberty, even though liberty might result in actions some (even future us) don't like.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Wylff IMHO, human life begins when one becomes conscious. My earliest memory is being 4 years old. In any case, one is not conscious when one is in the womb. Women have a period every month, and that's when one of their eggs "dies". Mourning eggs and sperm is insane.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 "human life begins when one becomes conscious. My earliest memory is being 4 years old. "
Then smashing your head against a rock when you were 3 would be ok? =)
"Mourning eggs and sperm is insane. "
IMHO, life begins when the egg is fertilize and a human starts to grow. At that point if you do not abort it, it will grow into a human, if you do abort it, you will end that humans life. The question is simple, if you were aborted, would you be alive today?
Wylff 2 months ago
@Wylff "Then smashing your head against a rock when you were 3 would be ok? =)" Let's just say that it is clearly the case that babies under 6 months of age are not self-aware. At 2 or 3, it is not as clear. What matters, though, is the self-awareness of a fetus that is younger than 6 months.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 Well, I am afraid we must agree to disagree then. Smashing the head of babies or aborting fetuses all ends the life of a human that would be alive if those actions had not been taken. Thought it may not be murder due to the state legalizing it, just like executing a person not is murder cuz the state approves of it. It is definitely killing, the ending of a human life, no matter how you look at it.
Wylff 2 months ago
@Wylff "ends the life of a human that would be alive if those actions had not been taken."
You DO realize that choosing to "not take an action" is completely equivalent to choosing to take an action. In other words when I choose not to use my sperm to fertilize an egg, it also results in a person not living.
Put another way, choosing to do nothing is not neutral, it is also a choice that has consequences. By your logic, ejaculation ends lives. Millions of them.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 "You choosing to "not take an action" is to take an action"
Oh I see, so If I shoot you in the head, it is the same as if I plan not to have a child? That totally makes sense!
"By your logic, ejaculation ends lives."
No. Sperm are not developing humans. A fedus is. If you kill a fedus, you end a human life. If you ejaculate you do nothing. Fedus is a stage in the development of a human life. Fedus ->Baby ->Child ->Teenager ->Adult - >old ->dead.
Wylff 2 months ago
@Wylff

That's like saying that people drive cars that have imperfect safety features. Victims of car crashes should not be treated - deal with consequences. This, despite the fact that doctors can help many of those accident victims.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Wylff Taking your arguments to the logical conclusion, people who abstain from sex are murderers. They deny all of their potential kids the right to live. Every woman ought to get pregnant every 10 months between the ages of 18 and 48. Anyone who has only 5 kids has denied life to 25 people. A woman who hasn't been pregnant for 9 months in a row has denied life to a person. Unfortunately she is not considered to be a murderer under the current law. Maybe this ought to be changed.
Billbauer222 2 months ago

@Wylff "The question is simple, if you were aborted, would you be alive today?"
I can take a sperm and use it to fertilize an egg. Then I could ask the person who ends up being born - "had I just ejaculated (without going through the process of using one of the sperm to fertilize your mom's egg), would you be alive today?!" Oh, NO, we need to ban ejaculation now - it is the equivalent of millions of abortions.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 A fetus is not just eggs and sperm.
Science has proven your statement that a fetus is not conscious when in the womb is false. That's your uneducated opinion, not fact.
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@whitemagnolia86 When I said "conscious", I meant "self-aware". Clearly, say, cows are more self-aware and conscious than embryos. It is this awareness that matters. The owner of a cow is free to end its life. A mother is even more of an owner of everything (even the alien-like little snot-tumors) inside of her body, and the cost of the death (measured in terms of consciousness and self-awareness) is even lower for abortions.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 And you said that without abortions, the stupid will breed. Now you're saying the stupid will breed with or without abortions.

Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 I don't think it makes a difference. The only thing that will prevent the stupid from breeding is ending government assistance programs. Until that happens, the stupid will abuse government policies which ensures the stupid will breed, the complete opposite of eugenics.

What does this have to do with anything?
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@whitemagnolia86 Ron Paul wants drugs legalized, and he's weak.
XmXFLUXmX2 2 months ago
@XmXFLUXmX2 The definition of Libertarian in the English language is patriot. You must be thinking of "Libertine".

StormSpirit20 2 months ago
@StormSpirit20 If the government starts to force women to give birth to all embryos, United States will become even more of a hell hole than it is now. So, yes - it IS a deal breaker as far as I am concerned. I am a libertarian, and I don't believe Ron Paul is really a libertarian.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 No woman has to have a baby she is not ready for OR have an abortion. With innovative modern medicine, there is birth control in many forms and even the morning after pill is OTC now. Abortions can be dangerous and should be avoided. Today there is hardly any reason to have one. If someone is not responsible, choosing to give a newborn to loving and eager parents would be the gift of a lifetime for them. I advocate responsibility, not abortion.
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@whitemagnolia86 That's EXACTLY my point - if you ban abortion than the people who are the LEAST responsible will end up breeding more, and that can't be good. As for adoptions, I think nature/genes is as important as nurture. I might be responsible, but I don't want my destiny to be determined by how responsible my female parter is. If she takes a chance and doesn't take the morning after pill, I don't want her to be out of options.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 Good point, eugennics is one of the reasons I support abortion.
StormSpirit20 2 months ago
@whitemagnolia86 When people use condoms, the woman will not be interested in the morning after pill. Yet condoms have a typical use failure rate of 15% per year. This implies that over 80% of couples who use condoms will end up with at least one child after using condoms for 10 years.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 That is why I don't see how it can be a deal breaker for anyone. We have much bigger fish to fry here...
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@StormSpirit20 A ban on abortions would not help the future crime rate. Such a ban would also imply that men like me (who are serious about not wanting to become a father) would basically not be able to have sex (unless it is with a woman who is 50+).
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 Wait a second, have you ever heard of birth control in its many forms? Any idea male birth control medication is being developed? Condoms (male and female), OTC morning after pill, IUD, patch, shot, oral birth control, pull out method combined with another form, cervical clamp, sponge, intrauterine devices, implantable rods, surgical sterilization, (there's even more). Any of that ring a bell? You really think w/out abortion you can only sleep with a 50 year old? LOL
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@whitemagnolia86 Recently it was in the news that the second generation of the Pill was found to have the same health side effects as the first generation. If I was a woman I would never take the pill. The pill have been available for 50 years and the doctors keep learning horrible things about it. So I would want to wait many years after the male birth control is on the market before I would be convinced that it is safe.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 How many have problems? It can take a while to get the exact pill and dosage right. Most have no problems with it, blood clotting and such side effects are rare. I've actually talked to a board certified OB/GYN about this, where is your information coming from? Okay, you would want to have your girlfriend risk complications of abortion but not risk taking the dreadful pill...
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 Second generation of the pill, huh? Which pill is this exactly and what about the other one?
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@whitemagnolia86 "You really think w/out abortion you can only sleep with a 50 year old?" As a man, I don't have any birth control options. I wouldn't trust my partner not to get pregnant against my will. (I would need to know her for 5-10 years before I could trust her, but I am not interested in that.) So I am Already limited to gals in their 50s and 60s.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@whitemagnolia86 Ever heard of post-vasectomy pain syndrome? Something like 2% of men who get a vasectomy end up having to live with "chronic, lifelong, debilitating pain." Not for me.
Billbauer222 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 Then choose another of the many options available. How many suffer from complications due to abortion? You're not swaying me my pointing that out.
whitemagnolia86 2 months ago
@Billbauer222 As a 50 yr old why not get a vasectomy then? Also, it is not your right to tell a woman to get an abortion. Do you really make an agreement with girls you have sex with beforehand that they will get an abortion if she becomes preggo?
StormSpirit20 2 months ago
@StormSpirit20 I am not 50 years old. I am in my mid thirties. As I pointed out earlier, something like 2% of vasectomies result in post-vasectomy syndrome - life-long, chronic, debilitating pain. This is not a risk I am willing to take. Back when I was taking risks of having intercourse with fertile women, I would not even consider a woman who would tell me that she is not sure what she would do if she became pregnant.
