  • Litton Loan is horrible. HORRIBLE!!! They are complete scammers. Stay away from them. If you are already stuck with them, don't let them get away with their crap- fight them.

  • i agree, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A MODIFICATION FOR 3 YEARS!!!!! INCONSISTENT WORK HISORY CREDIT RUINED

  • I actually work at Litton as a Loss Mitt Specialist... These loan modifications take longer than the 3 month trial period a lot of times because there are just too many to handle! I don't know anything about collections or the way they handle the payments but I know our department is working hard to get these mods complete!

  • We applied for a Modification in April 2009. We received a (3) Month Trial Period starting in July 2009. It is December and we have not received final paperwork for the Mod. It is appearing as if we are not paying on time, but we are. I need this "Fix" rate in writing and I need finalization now. What can I do?

  • my home was in pre-foreclosure when both my husband and I lost our jobs. However, I worked with Litton on a plan to pay $500 more every month to avoid and I did just that. On be known to me they reported all my payments as late therefore creating a bad credit report

  • Litton acquired my loan but never sent account info. Litton required an account # foremail and phone contact - but I did not have one.

    With my payment due in less than 2 weeks, I had to rush to refinance and save my house. I have very good credit. Litton received a Federal Express delivered certified check for payoff but still charged me a late fee (because they took several days to process). And sent me a letter threatening they'd go into foreclosure if I did not pay.

  • Goldman Sachs bought popular mortgage, thus purchasing my loan, which is now serviced by litton loan servicing, who lied to me when they told me they own their own paper.

  • Screwed 2yrs11mo by litton.Emailed us one set of doc's then on the day of signing changed doc's minutes before the signing which was the last day of the year @9pm.New doc's added a Prepayment penalty doc with a $10,000 fee if we refinance within 3 years. They changed the doc's to NOT pay for any taxes nor any type of escrow.We have refinanced/owned several homes so we know how it works and read it all the night before.They refuse to take any claim and we have email of doc night before as proof.

  • Litton does charge fees that were not due ,,I got mine back because Nevada law made them ,,pay me back escrow that was not owed ,,just took 7 months to get it back ,,They are helping some now but not very many ,

  • I agree, they suck. Hung up on me for asking them to help me by reducing my interest. They claim I have to have the loan for 7 years before I can get help. I was in the middle of asking questions as to why they refuse to help me, and she hung up. Karma is a bitch, hope she loses her job for being rude. Don't they have to help people who are in dire straights????

  • We've been in the same loop w/Litton for 3 years! Litton put up foreclosure notices on our house, we've had other predatory agencies wanting to buy our home out from under us!

    We were never informed our loan had been sold or why it'd been sold? Monies were not applied correctly,leading to late fees. After realizing what had happened, we were $6,200.00 in the hole. In 3 yrs,we've had to borrow 13 grand to keep our house because they refused to send us any type of paperwork of ANY kind also.

  • jbd2956 must work for the company. The charges that are charging are NOT part of the ORIGINAL loan. And also before Litton bought my loan the PMI insurance was to be taken off, Litton is playing games, and not taking it off. If Litton applies for bailout money I will pass along all the negative reports to my Senators to alert them.

  • Also, a lot of these bad ratings are unfounded. For instance, the BBB claims that there are all these unanswered, unresolved complaints. This is just not true, because when I worked there, I was the one who answered EVERY SINGLE BBB COMPLAINT LETTER. And my numbers were fantastic. Most responses I would complete within 1-2 days. Responses were sent via mail, fax, and eventually e-mail. So basically, either the BBB is lying, or they are badly organized.

  • This is all bullcrap. Litton is one of the highest rated loan servicing companies in the country. Every late charge, inspection fee, interest rate increase, etc. that people are charged is WRITTEN IN THE ORIGINAL LOAN DOCUMENTS. Most people are just too stupid to read their loan note.

    Litton spends the overwhelming majority of their time processing loan modifications and repayment plans to help people stay in their homes.

  • If you signed up for an interest-only loan or an ARM loan, and your payments go up, it's YOUR OWN FAULT. Those loans suck, and no one should ever sign them in the first place.  The fault lies with YOU, not your mortgage servicer.

  • I used to work for Litton, and it is a good company, run by good, honest, hardworking people. I used to read complaint letters from mortgagors all the time, and 99% of the time, their complaints were unfounded.

    I moved and no longer work there, so I have no reason to lie. Yes, mistakes are made from time to time (everyone makes mistakes), but they are always fixed. This company helps people. It has helped many thousands of people avoid foreclosure.

  • I just called Litton loan to inquire as of the status of my loan modification requested, i also asked who owns my loan. two litton loan employees in two different departments lied saying they own their own loans, I got a foreclosure letter from litton, giving me 30 days to pay two months behind in payments, how long does it take to get a loan modification? 90 days, conveniently, 30 days longer than the foreclosure process. helping customers? ninety days. foreclosing? 30 days.

  • As I said in a previous post, I used to work for Litton (until I left to go back to school to get my masters). The sad truth is that, yeah, sometimes mods do take that long. They used to be much shorter and easier, but once the recession and housing crisis hit, almost every single person we talked to wanted a mod. The Loan Modification Department had to be significantly expanded, and other department (like the one I was in) had to help them pick up the slack. It's tough.

  • This has been information on litton loan we have paid doudle what our loan was suppose to be since litton loan acquried our loan , because of their so call late fees and hidden charges

  • I am in the business. This is very educational it does hurt ligitmate companies like mine there is a lack of trust which is understandable. The scary thing really is that people will be in a terrible situation such as this and be too stubborn or ignorant to end it.

  • More people need to see this video. It just shows how little people are even aware of the predatory lenders out there. Or else they are so hynotized by the Big Game and other diversions they don't even care. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
