Hey Marlena, any chance you could recreate some looks from the Sephora holiday 2010 catalogue? Like the "all is bright" look or the other look that uses mufe cream #7 and #18 (fuscia and purple)? frankly, I don't think this is as dramatic as people are saying. It looks very very nice. Love it. I know what look I'm wearing to the SWU Christmas Banquet. I might go with a red instead of orange lip. Especially with the red that I found for my retro makeup in recent play that I was in, set just after the 2nd World War. I love how you give a wide range of looks and the techniques I've learned have helped with me put on fabulous stage makeup for all my performances.

/i don't see why people get SO offended when comments aren't 100% positive. You don't NEED to tell us we don't have to wear the look. We're not in the 1st grade that we need to make asinine & obvious statements like that. This look -is- too much and -does- have too many focal points. The point is, when someone considers themselves as a make-up guru, you would expect that they know what to avoid. This isn't just about "oh that color is ugly" it's about the basics of aesthetics.

There is a girl on youtube that does more toned down looks, I think it's makeup by Tiffany, but I ended up canceling my subscription with her for other reasons.

@everythingssculpture No I completely understand, for some this is too much to pull off. Check out "Kandee the makeup artist." Her and Marlena are my two favorites and Kandee often does more "toned down" looks with lots of blending. You might like her ideas. Check out Tiffany too, but she's a bit of an airhead that's why I stopped subscribing. lol Not to be mean but sometimes it was too much!

Marlena, I love that you do more dramatic looks that will sometimes get hater comments, it means you're getting attention, even if it's negative- people are noticing.

And you don't have to wear the eyes with the lips if it's too dramatic. Orange lips with a neutral look or the eyes with a more natural lip. Both would be really pretty :)
