  • Look for Jimananda ninna nanna

  • What was the point of using clay if you didn't even animate it? You could have just drawn pictures and filmed those.

  • I like your Dad's singing more than Joan Baez's - it's more natural and really beautiful. He should record a CD with folk ballads - I'm sure it would be an amazing success.

  • More natural? This guy is singing with a phony Brit accent!

  • So what? The song is about the mistress of the King of Scotland - a British accent is by no means unwarranted here whatsoever. I like his voice.

  • But you're trying to argue that someone has a natural voice when they're singing in a fabricated accent. Don't you see the logical error in that?

And his voice is pretty generic.

  • Well, actually, I wasn't attempting to sing with any sort of accent. It's possible that I was imitating Joan Baez on some level as I originally learned the song from her LP, and song book (which I had open before me while singing this). As the note implies, it was our intention to use her recording originally on this little project for a grade school class. This was a last minute fill-in when we couldn't find the CD. But, I'd guess that you'd hear the same "accent" on most of my recordings.

  • Sorry I didn't mean to sound snide. You have a good voice for this type of song. For some reason, I take it too personally when people talk about ANY version of Mary Hamilton being better than Baez's. Her's is one of my favorite recordings of all time. I know, a little weird of me. :-)

  • wow. he's an amazing singer! =)
