I love your natural hair Michelle! My hair is very fine, thick and straight thankfully I don't have to do much styling but just blow dry my roots upside down for some volume but your Harris hair I've always wanted!
u need to get the tresemme heat protection spray ..it is not sticky, smells nice, does not weigh the hair down at all and its inexpensive. u need NEED to try that. xxx
I think you have absolutely gorgeous hair! I have had super long hair but not for years and I'm in the process of growing it out again. Seeing yours so nice and long is kind of... inspiration I guess!! :)
@michele1218 My absolute fav shampoo and conditioner is AG! It's sulphate salt and cruelty free, and made in Canada! (bonus!! Lol!) I really enjoy the Colour Savour shampoo and the Ultramoist Moisturizing Conditioner. Oh, and because I have naturally curly hair, I looove the Fast Food Leave On Conditioner.
The stylist at Ulta used the Brushlab brush on my waist length, wavy hair and I bought it that same day. Girls, BUY THE BRUSH!!! It's amazing! Something I never, ever, ever would've bought on my own. Don't overdry your ends!! It damages them like crazy! Also, I appreciate that you don't use a bajillion products on your hair. It's just not necessary!
You have shampoo commercial hair..it's amazing! You and ItsJudyTime have THE best hair on YT...and if I had hair like yours I would touch it all day too...lol :)
OMG Michelle did you hear that they have the T3 dryer is on sale at tjmaxx and marshalls for only $49 i just saw them there yesterday:) i want one too!
Great tips! Your hair is beautiful. Thank you for the organix shampoo recommendation. Ive used it and loved it. I just tried the awapuhi, the new one that came out from organix and it was equally as good as well.
Instead of using a towel to towel dry your hair use a RECEIVING BLANKET. It helps with slit ends and also eliminates frizz. Terry cloth in the towels cause frizziness and split ends.
i feels like the organix conditioner doesnt leave the hair as sleek if u were to just let ur hair air dry... does anyone seem to have the same problem???
@NaniZsh I ALWAYS let my hair air dry, then i continue to straighten it out with my straightener, and once i'm done i put biosilk at the ends or some argan oil.
We have the same hair and I have always hated blow drying it too! Wish I could afford to get the treatments done.....when I could I wouldn't have had the time to do so or keep it out pulled back or out of my signature twist for that long. You have such beautiful hair hun xo
Michele, thanks for sharing, I've never dried my hair with a brush (I have two left hands when it comes to this) but seeing how pretty and voluminous your hair looks I'm going to give it a try :O. I have a question though, will a titanium round boar bristle brush work as well?
@pinkpeony06 hmm I am not familiar with titanium brushes, and in my experience the boar bristles create a lot of static in my hair....but everyone's hair is different, so there is nothing wrong with those brushes, they just haven't worked for me in the past!
when you got the keratin treatment done, did you notice that your hair was straighter? i have curly hair, but i want it to be more wavy. and when its healthy, i realized that it tends to be straighter. thank you!
@pricilla1482 in the more info section she says she filmed this video awhile ago and its just now uploaded so maybe that is the reason but also-permanent hair color still "washes out" or fades...
@pricilla1482 I actually had this video filmed for a while now, just didn't get it uploaded until recently. But when I made the video it was prior to my most recent experience with the permanent box color. Sorry for the confusion!
I forgot to mention that the Flat Iron Spray is also (obviously) a thermal protectant spray which is why I had initially mentioned it. LOVE your hair. Thanks again. :)
This was really helpful. I NEVER blow dry my hair, just let it air dry but I think I'm actually going to try your tips & techniques. I bought the same Organix shampoo & conditioner you mentioned (because of you of course:) but also picked up the Flat Iron Spray in the same line (Brazilian Keratin, etc.) and I LOVE it. I love the way it smells and I use it to freshen up 2nd/3rd day hair. Just a suggestion if you're ever looking and my husband and kids love the way it leaves my hair smelling.
you should try Chi Silk Infusion and Paul Mitchell's Skinny. My hair is horrible frizzy and thick, when I use the two together (about a dime size of each product together in my hand) it is amazing!!! My hair is VERY crazy and these products are amazing! I can get away with 3 days of no washing.
I absolutely love Redken's Blow Dry Lotion...it doesn't feel greasy or heavy. I usually just put it on the bottom half of my hair to protect from split ends. My hair normally gets super greasy too, so I am careful with what products I put into it. You should give it a try!
my daughter has the most blonde curly hair and it a nightmare to brush in morning she only 6 it like ringlites but i might invest in one of those large brushes will it work on curly hair?
thank for sharing with us. Love your hair is not frizzy what so ever. I don't put products on mine or blow dry it often but my hair is a frizz ball. which had hair like yours.
I love your hair! You complain that it's thick, but I don't think you know what a curse thin hair is, lol! You look gorgeous as always, thanks for the video!
You llok absolutely stunning here! you should do your makeup like this more often instead of that muddy toupey look you usually wear because this flatters you so much more. Btw, you have beautiful hair. Im suprised your hairs so gorgeous and healthy when you dont even use heat protecter. I wish i didnt have to use heat protectore but if i dont my hair starts to feel like straw :(
A company sent that green round brush to me and I LOVE it. Not a fan of the company that sent it, but love the brush LOL. I'm the same way as you with putting products in my hair. I just use oil at the ends because I hate anything else weighing down my hair. Hate blow drying SO much! Maybe I should look into getting a keratin treatment done seriously since we have similar hair and dislike the same things haha.
Your entire hair strand is covered with the cuticle layer. It's kind of like the scales of fish in a way, but it's not just on the ends. And you are absolutely right with blowdrying with the concentrator nozzle pointed down, it will seal your cuticle and give you a nice sleek look with less flyaways. And by the way, you have beautiful hair!!
I definitely am going to try your technique! I am horrible at blow drying my hair straight. I always end up with a mess. Oh btw, my grandma's dog ran at the computer screen and was barking when you were blow drying lol but then when you stopped she licked your face on the screen LOL
@hurthammy I do it in the morning before work. Usually takes 15 minutes and I don't normally deep condition my hair, but I am trying out the Macadamia line and have been doing it once a week
I would like to make a suggestion, My hair is probably as thick as yours and as curly as nurber's. One thing that makes my hair dry significantly faster is sectioning all of my hair into 4-5 sections first. I start in the back, blow drying a section at a time and then clip it back, I dry the next section, then let out the from the previous section and quickly run through those sections together to blend. I think you will get the same effect and it'll go faster for you. xoxo
I have long, fairly thick hair too. If I did that to my hair with that round brush, I would literally have to cut the brush out with scissors! I was watching you spin the brush and I was wincing. Do you use a good conditioner so that does not happen? Or is that some magic brush? When I blow dry I get tons of static too. Am I using the wrong blow dryer and/or brush? And what Dry Shampoo do you use please, I really like using dry shampoo...thanks!
@pattifudge i think the brush definitely makes a difference in how it glides through the hair...but the conditioner I use helps too. a ceramic ionic brush and blowdryer will definitely help eliminate static. I use Frederick Fekkai Au Natural Powder
You are such gorgeous hair! I am jealous that your blow dry is so easy compared to my really curly hair. You shoudl wear it natural more often or at least show us what that looks like in a vid! :)
thanks for this video, I definitely learned some new tips from here on how to blowdry my hair, I too have thick hair and didn't know how to avoid frizziness while blowdrying
Your hair is so gorgeous I can't handle it! I wish I had as much hair as you do :) And thanks for showing Lucy, she's such a happy cutie pie :) Hope you have a fun weekend <3
Thanks for sharing Michele! You and I have very similar hair, would love to share my routine with you as well. I blow dry my hair all over until it is about 60% dry. Then I bend forward, flip my hair upside down. Take the same round brush, start from outside and roll brush outwards as you pull the hair up and dry. Cuts my drying time to about 7 minutes and it gives AMAZING volume!
Girl u have gorgeous hair!!! Thanks for showing us I learned some tips that I didn't know. I wish I had thick hair I have fine hair but I would love to have your hair girly. Hope u have a great weekend it was nice to see Lucy!!!
Awww I wish I had hair like yours!!! Mine is so thin and don't have any shape!!! Btw I'll definitely try the trick to add volume :) you're always so beautiful Michele!! ;)
Oh gosh. I don't think I'd ever have the patience with blow drying my hair after every wash! I'm lucky that my hair is mostly straight with a "hint" of waves to it. The only thing I do that's really bad is wash it everyday when I am in school. I can't stand leaving the house with second day hair! Other than that, I only use shampoo and a dime size amount of oil on the ends. Never colored it and last time I used heat was my HS graduation May of 2010! No fly aways or anything since the oil helps.
Do you ever use a heat protector spray?? Do you know if they even work?? I always get told at the hairdresser I SHOULD DEFINITELY be using one... but I find they make my hair even more oily..
@naybaby0 try using one that nobody likes (most likely to dry out your hair) and avoid the scalp and the crown of the head...and if you feel your hair drying, put a serum or oil on the ends after it...works for me
When I got my keratin done they pushed the Keratin products on me in the salon, so I bought them and have only been using them, however I did try another shampoo that I had and the finish wasnt so great...so are the organix keratin products good dupes for the salon keratin products in ur opinion? Thanks and you have hair to die for:))) Jan
Your dogs are so adorable...!every time I see them it makes me miss my dog that much more(she lives with my mom now because I travel a lot).
Also, I am with you on this whole...not using extra products. I only use the kerastase elixir Ultime on the ends of my hair before blowdrying and that is all.
Hi! So I had started using a comb after showering but I noticed my hair got SO oily after! And when I brush my hair, it's normal, and it won't get oily until after my 2nd day of not washing it! Any solutions to this problem? :(
Lol I wanted to grab your blow dryer and dry it for you, but that's a hair dresser for you lol!! You did a great job! Oh and Andis is soooo loud! They gave those to us in Cosmetology school. Loud and heavy. I heard the T3 was good but if u want York save more time with the blow drying try the RUSK Speed Freak. With thick hair you will think it was a GOD! I have extremely thick hair too. They sell the RUSK at Ulta. Plus it's light weight too. More watts.
I like how you blew it dry from different parts I'm going to try that for more volume. I have the thinnest, finest hair...ever! Your luscious thick hair makes me drool! :P Thanks again!
michele are you subscribed to michelle money's youtube channel?? It's hilarious they're so sassy and I want to be their friends! I feel like you would fit in so well with them haha
JEEZ i look like a moron when i try to blow dry my hair. you look all Herbal-Essence commercial like when you do it. for some reason i just cant blow dry my hair, my brush always gets tangled into my hair! i will try to look for the brush you have. P.S i have that necklace!!!! its an M too! :)
How do you sleep on this without messing it up? Do you twist it up? Leave it down? My hair will look great on day one but by day two it's back to it's normal wave/curl and messy.
Ok...I would give anything to have THICK, gorgeous hair like yours. seriously. I only wish my hair looked like that! It's all genetics! I can put the best thickening spray in my hair and it wouldn't even look half as thick as yours! grrrr. Also, I just realized that you resemble Mila Kunis a lot in this video and in general! =) Thanks for sharing this video w/ us! =)

Is your brush 3 1/2"? Would you recomend that particular brand or it will be ok if we buy other brand's ceramic ionic brushes?
inesmmcosta 2 months ago
@inesmmcosta other ceramic ionic brushes work just the same! Mine is the 2 1/2 inch ;)

No fly aways or anything since the oil helps.
mimi10115 2 months ago
Do you ever use a heat protector spray?? Do you know if they even work?? I always get told at the hairdresser I SHOULD DEFINITELY be using one... but I find they make my hair even more oily..
naybaby0 2 months ago
@naybaby0 haha I just saw the part about heat protectant comment....
naybaby0 2 months ago
@naybaby0 try using one that nobody likes (most likely to dry out your hair) and avoid the scalp and the crown of the head...and if you feel your hair drying, put a serum or oil on the ends after it...works for me

When I got my keratin done they pushed the Keratin products on me in the salon, so I bought them and have only been using them, however I did try another shampoo that I had and the finish wasnt so great...so are the organix keratin products good dupes for the salon keratin products in ur opinion? Thanks and you have hair to die for:))) Jan

@couturemomnyc I would say so! They are great!

I would like to see your hair natural. It looks nice and blow drying everytime is so hard and bad for the hair.

Wow.. I can not see myself doing this after every time I shower. So much time and work! Your natural hair fine the way it is.

Your dogs are so adorable...!every time I see them it makes me miss my dog that much more(she lives with my mom now because I travel a lot).
Also, I am with you on this whole...not using extra products. I only use the kerastase elixir Ultime on the ends of my hair before blowdrying and that is all.
quendi9 2 months ago

More watts.
materialgurl0718 2 months ago
@materialgurl0718 Thanks girly! I will definitely check that out next time I*m in Ulta
michele1218 2 months ago

michele1218 2 months ago
Your hair has some really nice natural waves in it. You should try to leave it natural sometimes... It's also better for your hair.
darkskyequeen 2 months ago
How do you sleep on this without messing it up? Do you twist it up? Leave it down? My hair will look great on day one but by day two it's back to it's normal wave/curl and messy.
GiniaNana 2 months ago
@GiniaNana I sleep with it down and somehow it doesn't get too messed up

Ok...I would give anything to have THICK, gorgeous hair like yours. seriously. I only wish my hair looked like that! It's all genetics! I can put the best thickening spray in my hair and it wouldn't even look half as thick as yours! grrrr. Also, I just realized that you resemble Mila Kunis a lot in this video and in general! =) Thanks for sharing this video w/ us! =)
