So the taser is a tool of forced compliance. Just like a cattle prod. We assume they got the moral high ground. The taser on many occasions has killed. They in this case risked killing the guy. Turn it around. How if judged, was the cops actions. Eg. I was locked out I kicked the door it hit somone on other side did i assult them? Yes i threw the bottle but he was mouthy? Or were the cops in a death struggle necessitating use of taser. That was the stated requirement, when issued.
When the cops come to arrest they themselves have no care of fact that's the judges job. They get their call and if they think violence could ensue they take action. It was probable they say. So if when they approach yell face down and you say WTF? you get tasered. They collect evidence around the complaint not working for you in any way shape or form at this point. The evidence collected will be pointed and direct around the complaint. They could care less what happened.

As a police officer your trainined not to despond on threat, but rather on physical force. If he refuses to cooperate, tase him and arrest him. He he calls you names and hurts your feelings you dont have much of a right to use your taser unless you feel immediatedly threatened by his current actions. So the taser is a tool of forced compliance. Just like a cattle prod. We assume they got the moral high ground. The taser on many occasions has killed. They in this case risked killing the guy. Turn it around. How if judged, was the cops actions. Eg. I was locked out I kicked the door it hit somone on other side did i assult them? Yes i threw the bottle but he was mouthy? Or were the cops in a death struggle necessitating use of taser. That was the stated requirement, when issued.

When the cops come to arrest they themselves have no care of fact that's the judges job. They get their call and if they think violence could ensue they take action. It was probable they say. So if when they approach yell face down and you say WTF? you get tasered. They collect evidence around the complaint not working for you in any way shape or form at this point. The evidence collected will be pointed and direct around the complaint. They could care less what happened.

They COULD have just walked up and beat the fuck out of him until he complied. They COULD have just shot the guy with bean bag rounds. Instead...one zap and he is handcuffed. I think this is down the street from the middle school I went to. The FPD are in FULL FORCE in this town, though they needn't be. This town is far from the "ghetto" or "trailer park" types someone said. Although this town has it's "bad" parts, it's predominately a yuppy town full of rich Republicans. Maybe they're afraid they'll lose their jobs and thus lose money, IDK. But they overreact to everything. They send like a million firetrucks and ambulances for a minor accident.

Possibly he gets in a punch or a slash or is able to pull a gun from behind him. INSTEAD, a quick shock and he is subdued. Better for HIM and better for the cops. Nobody was hurt. Why should it matter if he is unstable or not? HIS actions created this situation. NOT the cops. They simply cleaned it up.

As a police officer your trainined not to despond on threat, but rather on physical force. If he refuses to cooperate, tase him and arrest him. He he calls you names and hurts your feelings you dont have much of a right to use your taser unless you feel immediatedly threatened by his current actions. I dont really know what went on before hand for sure, but i'd like to see it.
