Ill start worrying about Hugh Laurie's English when the Americans start pronouncing 'thorough' correctly, stop talking through their noses, and learn what an 'inside voice' is.
@ghostlyredfox you're kidding right? You're taking a jab at Americans basically for not sounding English over a clip that if anything, was criticizing the writers.
if it was a subtle mistake like 'who' instead of 'whom', i might believe this was unintentional...but even grammar school kids that speak english know better than 'didn't saw', much less the dozens of fluent adults that were present when this happened. so...yeah, clearly intentional.
Hellooooooooooooo, has any of you seen a single episode of House? Of course it was on purpose! It's House's style. You can see it plenty of times over the seasons. o.O
@limonk "Moral"? Do you even have any idea what that word means? If you did you would realize how incredibly wrong your statement was. "Right" may have been a better choice for you, since you are obviously a moron and a bigot. He has every right, moral or otherwise, to ask the question. It was a simple question and because of the language barrier he did not understand the joke that House was doing. It was very wrong of you to chastise him thus.
OMG you're right! He made a mistake! I'm polish but I know the basic English grammar!
It should be "They investigated what they saw not what they didn’t see" instead of "They investigated what they saw not what they didn’t saw."
"Didn't saw" is incorrect because it's a double past tense, just like "haven't never" is a double negative. On top of that, the word "saw" is also a present tense verb with an entirely different meaning. How could they not notice such mistake?!
He said "... not what they didn't saw" it should be "... not what they didn't see" but I really don't care, I love House!

House has done that quite a few times on purpose. It's supposed to be funny and ironic.

Yah, I think it was meant to be ironic.

This is an intention grammatical error to emphasize the fact that they only took into account 'what they saw' ...a poetic license, if you will.

Fine, I'll be the GLUE to let you people on what the JOKE was about.
He meant SAW as in SAWING off a body part, it's a clever pun + intended ENGRISH mistake.
