No overtime pay, if a boss hated you he could reassign you to the other side of the city, promotions were unfair although the city still has 30% merit "clout", the pay was shit 30 years ago now its respectable so I can own a home for my family, etc.etc.. Talk to the office workers who stay 55 hours a week and get payed a salary "based on 40 hrs". I was there man, Unions are not perfect but it something.
