This is when the show had promise to be a good show, not some goofball 80's comedy that it turned out to be. They replaced some good roles. LIke brining on Tootie, the black kid to make people happy. Who ever heard of a black kid in prep school. Their all out having babies and hanging out on street corners.

"Barney Fart". I love the 1st season of The Facts of Life. IF you knew anything you would know that the role of Tootie was not specifically written for a Black actress. Kim Fields just happened to get the part. (Go to the Facts of Life Trivia page on IMDB). Kim was on the show from the start, they did not bring her in later. I also happened to be Black with a Master's degree who has NEVER hanged on a street corner or gotten pregnant. You are an ignorant racist piece of trash!
