This was the first FF game I beat way back in 91-92. Blew me away, and is still my favorite FF game and in my top 5 games of all time. You're in for a treat.

You made quite possibly the best choice for your first final fantasy game! it has the best plot and character development. alongside its GREAT music track it is for sure my favorite final fantasy game that being said i am very very excited to see that you will be lping it especially since it is blind and the fact that it is your first final fantasy!

Being a huge FF nerd, I will say that that IMO your in for a treat :) I love your nitpicks of the intro, they made me smile. I agree with everything you said, but I would like to register that the only thing that made the two guys in armor look awesome WAS the armor - take it off and they look like girlboys to me. Thats something i hate about Squeenix - in the 3D FFs all of the main characters look like girlboys (and most of the villians too!)

You made a really good choice, actually. IV is the FF that put the series on the map. Before VI or VII, there was this. At the time critics said this was the first rpg to have compelling characters and an involved plot (note though that they had different standards back then). You'll have fun

Haven't touch this since the original version in US where it was called FF2. God what did they do to Cecil after that change, is Japan obsess with making male leads more woman then man now :P
