  • "Now you do not punish someone, Dutch or otherwise for having big boobs!"

    I love Ricky Gervais.

  • This is supposed to be funny? I'd rather watch a million episodes of the US version and never watch this shit again

  • I'm American, and the American version of the Office was good for about half of the first season. Now it's garbage. Totally over the top. The magic of this show was that you actually BELIEVED it could happen. It's a shame the US had to ruin their version.

  • Oh, remember everybody: “The difference between life and art is art is more bearable.” - You don't have to turn fiction into reality to enjoy a comedy. So what Dwight's a really creep? That's what makes The Office US funny as hell. All those dumbasses wouldn't be able to work in a real Office; THAT'S what's funny.

  • Dudes, both the US and UK versions are awesome. Shut the fuck up and just watch the damn video. For @deovision - wtf? The Office US is not "over-acted" and it's not badly written either so stop talking nonsense just to make a point. If you like the UK version better, just say so. "I like it". That's it.

  • o.0..... i love ricky gervais as an actor and comedian. however, i am disturbed to discover that they've created a UK version of The Office; it's just too weird. the magic that is The Office, cannot be recreated. they should call it something else, like "When is Lunch?" or "What a Hideous Dress That Woman Who Works Here is Wearing". i don't care, just don't call it The Office. also, I wonder what happened with copyrights there...

  • @Wolfkin7 I know you're quite possibly joking, but it's not really funny....

  • @Wolfkin7 typical yank.nuff said

  • @ashtrayheart73 lofuckingl, please someone tell me he's joking

  • @ashtrayheart73 Probably trolling :)

  • @Wolfkin7 omg please tell me that's a joke

  • @Wolfkin7 Obvious troll is obvious

  • Billy connely , al Murray , Michael bridges, Richard Pryor in his day was magic there's plenty more I just can't think of names off the top of my head gervais is just the same old shite even in films he plays the same character with different names bit like Hugh grant! Lol

  • @jamesw2010 al murray ive met ppl just as funny as him down the pub,he hasn't got anything worth saying that hasnt been said millions of times over

  • Ricky gervais is the least funny comedian I've ever seen what is it everyone sees he just uses the same tone of voice he's been usin for years to say stupid things and try make them funny my kids are funnier

  • @jamesw2010 i dont think he's a great stand up but when in character like brent he is terrific but of course humour is subjective just like anything

  • @jamesw2010 Care to share what comedians you DO like? For comparison purposes.

  • The American version is a piece of shit and extremely unrealistic. "Dwight" is a cracckpot that wouldn't be alloowed with 20 steps of an office in real life. It's lame and stupid. The U.K version (THE ORIGINAL) is far better and realistic.

  • @MickJagoffable Americans are afraid to let a character be both realistic and completely inept. Its as if they are afraid to admit that the average person is ridiculous, inconsistent, hypocritical and devoid of any genuine values. Perhaps thats why religion is so big in the US - it fills in the gaps.

  • this is much more clever humor but I like the characters in the american one more, namely Dwight lol

  • He's trolling guys.

  • This show is a rip off of an American television show called The Office. This is still funny but somewhat amatuerish.

  • @hbdywtk I hope you're not being fucking serious mate.

  • @hbdywtk Very antagonistic. Well done. Get a life.

  • @hbdywtk Are you insane?

  • @hbdywtk I think you'll find that this is the ORIGINAL multiward winning series, but as most americans seem to know less about theworld beyond their border than even people in communist states such as North Korea, I'm not surprised you didn't know that.

I've seen american TV, inbetween the endless adverts, it's mainly rubbish. Virtually no news from anywhere outside the USA, no wonder 99% of the population have no idea about the rest of the world. Luckily about 80% don't even have a passport!

  • @busterrabbit No need to make generalizations about an country based on what some troll says or what you saw on some TV. Im an American that has a passport and I love to travel, experience new cultures and see the rest of the world.

BTW: UK Office is WAY BETTER than the US version!

  • @jerkman626 I know many americans that love travel and experience other cultures, but as I'm sure you will know, the vast majority of US citizens don't. I believe that this is for two reasons: Firstly the US is so large so there is little need to travel abroad, unlike those of us in smaller countries (I'm in the UK) and secondly the media in the US is dominated by domestic affairs so that US citizens get less exposure to what's going the "outside world" than the average chinese or russian.

  • @busterrabbit like a prison.

  • women are equal, i've always said that!

  • Hahahaha... This is cracking me up!!!

  • I love how people who watch the UK Office always talk about how much better it is compared to the American version on these clips. You could just like both or hate one without saying it all the time. You do not punish someone - from the United Kingdom or otherwise - for having a popular show... if anything they should be rewarded. I've always said that.

  • if anything they should be rewarded..hahaha lotta love for the office

  • "if anything you should reward them..." omg i laughed so hard XD

  • how can i hate women my mums one hehe just the best one liners in this

  • british office is far superior. but lets not get carried away with the bbc, this is their best show and there are plenty of american comedy show that are better than the american office, there are some american shows that can even compare to the british office

  • women are dirty

  • The details are what make this show brilliant. Did you notice that even the new guy--the temp--has printed the picture out for the cleaner?

  • Sex...fetish...yeah

  • It's over 13000000 matches now...

  • ''now you do not punish anyone, dutch or otherwise for having big boobs''

  • That 'double take' when Brent catches joan the cleaner with her hand up is priceless!! great scene.

    ATVmidlandsUK

  • HAHA 'You havn't even got email joan'' ''someone printed it out for me'' classic

  • 1:06: "It degrades women"

    1:20: "Women are dirty"

  • Women..are...dirty... Haaaaaaa

  • blah blah blah the uk version is better blah blah blah, their both really good shows and the only reason i wouldn't watch the uk version is cause half of the time i don't even know what their saying, and who gives a fuck which one of the two very good shows is better

  • @MultiGoodKid

You don't know what they're saying? Wow, you look intelligent. Haha.

  • @HecklerBlog its their accents ,I have trouble understanding lol

  • @HecklerBlog How can your intelligence be portrayed through looks?

  • Sex Fetish

  • Love the bit 2.00 to 2.15 where brent waves his pen to shut gareth up.

  • FUCK THE YANKS

  • I like both

This is more laugh out loud cause of the realism aswell, but the yank one cracks me up to sometimes.

    lol this filth lol

  • Attention limeys: we like your show just fine, and we like ours even better. Now shut the hell up about it.

  • I don't think the American version is any better or worst than the British version. The British version is tailored to the British audience, hense the American version is tailored to the American audience. Not to say one is better than the other, just difference in humour. I'm a huge fan of the British Office, and to me it seems superior in comedy than any other version. It probably is not superior, just appeals to my sense of humour more as I'm British. Amazes me that most on here don't get it!

  • @hisssyffffit which ever one you think is funnier, the english one is more original and was the one that had to be made from a blank canvas... I could of written the american one because it's easy when you have such a strong inspiration...

  • @JimmyTheKiller I totally agree with you. Yet that wasnt my point. My point is not which one is better, but why each version appeals to different audiences. I'm also of the ilk some things cannot be remade and should be left alone. Comedies like Fawlty Towers, Rising Damp etc fall into the ''Leave Alone'' catagory, so does the Office. Most American Office fans did not see the original version, so to them, their version is the best. Just the way it is.

  • @hisssyffffit Spot on... couldn't agree more I'm from UK haven't seen the American version but as you say both tailored to their audiences.

  • Gervais is so funny!!!!

  • women are dirty....too funny

    donna is a knockout!

  • wow... this is funny!

  • This is just brilliant. American one is great too, both good shows'.

  • Who cares whether the british or american version is better? The work experience girl is FIT

  • they should be rewarded

    they should be equal!

    haha xD

  • You do not punish someone - Dutch or otherwise - for having big boobs.

  • @ursie1986 I disagree, I think they're big 'south-of-the-border' neons blinking on and off, asking to be punished. ...in a very caring tender motorboat way.

  • You can't beat the Brent.

Check out my sexist boss on my channel please!

  • "You haven't even got email Joan"

    "Someone printed it for me"

"Who printed this out for Joan?"

    XD

  • WOW, She is sexxxyyy.

  • I love how he says ''I'm angry'' hehe

  • @PokerPlum I understand and believe me, I also know why the Britts would feel a bit overly protective of this classic sitcom. I watched this version LONG before the U.S version came out and was hooked immediately! I think Tim's character is spot on with his sharp wit and funny demeanor... as opposed to going with the classic "Good Looking, Perpetually Cool Guy" that Hollywood felt a need to give John Krasinski's charactor. It's just most the posts are really more of a "Us Against You" bullshit.

  • Agreed. The UK version is superior in every way, and I am an American. It's just much more clever. Much of Hollywood has lost its sense of originality, so it steals or buys from the Brits or just rehashes past shows or films or just adds more explosions or special effects. Can't wait for some cheesy US version of Top Gear to show up in my living room. Long live BBC America.

  • @ggermek Bullshit. They are both equally good. Never mind the fact that the writers and producers behind the American version are some of the most talented IN THE WORLD. What the UK version lacks, the US version makes up for it. Why not fucking just enjoy them both rather than coming on here and blubbering like a pretentious twat to anonymous British people over the internet?

  • @F33bs I have to disagree, the US version adds that hint of everybody loves raymond humour that Americans seem to adore, that personally i find completely unfunny. I just hope when people sway the office they mean the UK version, actually you shouldnt even have to say the 'UK' version as gervais and merchant were the geniuses behind the unique concept and humour. sorry about the rant..

  • @ScreamingTamrin British people seem to enjoy only dry humor. Maybe that's why you don't like the US version? The US version is admittedly not dry, but it's not meant to be that way. The US version also has a heart, and a pulse, and I think that's another thing that puts British people off. No offense. It's more emotionally involved with the audience than the original. That's how it is different. It's not bad, it's just a different approach, and I think it succeeds very well.

  • @F33bs ENOUGH!!! shut up with the uk vs. us debate, we all kill arabs together!!

  • @dontleademsomuch wow no fuck you we should kill your ignorant ass.

    1. Humour in the US and the UK are vastly different. That's why Americans perfer our versions over the UK's. They suit our own sense of humor. And there's NOTHING wrong with that. I'm American, and this clip gave me a great laugh. You should all could appreciate both versions and their windows into the cultural differences between the US and the UK

  • @Kevin4779 i do you cretin i was sayin that it is pointless to debate it

  • @ggermek The brits are not known for their creativity. Apart from doctor who and the office, monty python and a very few others, the brits haven't produced anything of real note. Us Americans have been far more prolific.

  • @novatrek Please tell me your joking... We have had some of the most famous music artists, fine artists, poets, play writers, authors, comedians, film makers and actors of all time... You tell me one famous creative american and ill tell you a better english one of the same profession... The only one I can understand is hollywood, but we have still had some of the greatest hollywood actors, writers and directors...

  • @JimmyTheKiller I am not joking and I was speaking hollywood so no shakespear. I have a name for you, Brando. I await ur response.

  • @novatrek brando wasnt even american.. he was german, french, irish and english... So he's closer to being english than american... And just to show you: Antony Hopkins, Sean Connory, Ewan mcgregor, Orlando bloom, Alec Guinness, John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson, Charlie Chaplin...

  • @JimmyTheKiller Born and bred in Nebraska. Its an absolute travesty you mention Orlando bloom in the same breath as Brando. Only one on the list on par with him is Anthony Hopkins.

  • @novatrek yer i take that back, I hate orlando bloom...

  • @JimmyTheKiller Sean Connerys Scottish ya crank.

  • @peacefrog1916 oh yer

  • @ggermek Oh PUH-LEASE.

i'm so sick and tired of people thinking they're so sophisticated by saying that the UK version of The Office is vastly superior to the US version. They're both funny in their own ways, so one cannot be superior to another since "funny" is defined by an individual. Give me a fucking break.

  • @ggermek well said mate i think ur right to and i aint being biased

  • @ggermek your a fagget ass motherfucker and need to move out of the country you forein lover fuck u

  • @EMIN9NEPRODUCTIONS People like you are the reason people think all Americans are retarded. Learn to spell you inbred dipshit.

  • @ggermek I'm British, and what I find with American comedy is that the actors feel they have to try to be funny to get the jokes across, turning them into "over-acting" clowns. I studied acting and what my tutors always taught me is that, If the scene is funny and well written, just act and the script will do all the work. Hense why the British version is so realistic looking. Over here, some people actually thought it was a documentary! Saying that, I like the American version, just not as much

  • @deovision this is true and i think it does look forced in american comedy plus too many gags. the office is subtley brilliant, timing perfect .

  • @deovision hence

  • "Have you used email before"?

  • "If anything they should be rewarded" - so brilliant.

  • Karl Pilkington is a Genius

  • not american not british i am...but im just pissed when they need to cater this and that for one country. for Godsake we in Asia enjoy and understand the original. Later on there'll be Canadian, Argentinean, Australian, Japanese, and Chinese Office. But thanks to Gervais for writing both, I think we need to respect him for his genius ideas cheers mate ! also credits to Smerch.

  • I dunno, something about the UK version bugs me. I guess its just the characters

  • @NoUnboundFreedom Why do Americans have such penis envy? I swear, the entire United States of America is full of people with short dicks.

  • Comment removed

  • @NoUnboundFreedom

yeah. damn thouse non americans who always copy their great concepts!

  • @NoUnboundFreedom the UK version is the orginal dick

  • @NoUnboundFreedom What? UK is the original version... the americans copied it, as they always do.

  • @sucramnormark Rick Gervais produces the American Version so your saying he copied himself?

  • @lambof50355 He did not in the beginning, and he's not in the creative process

  • @sucramnormark How can the American version be shit if all they did was copy the UK version? Wouldn't they be the same?

  • @F33bs They TRIED to copy it but failed miserably.

  • @sucramnormark Right right. Never mind the fact that the US version is completely different in style and tone from the UK version, America just has to be trying to copy British humor, in a country that doesn't appreciate it.

Yeah. You're an idiot. If you can't appreciate both versions, then you aren't even a fan of the original. You're just some loser who uses the UK version as some bullshit reason to bash America. What a joke.

  • @F33bs I'm not a fan of the original? HAHAHA. Yeah. Okay. I never thought I would have to sit and explain my taste in comedy to a stuck up american douche bag on youtube, but hey, life is full of surprises. It's my favourite show of all time, appearently you have really low self esteem, feeling hurt because I'm bashing a television show.

Go join the fucking navy like the american scum you are. You're embarrasing both yourself and america.

  • @sucramnormark Derp. If you hate the American version, you obviously missed the point of the English version. Just because you don't "get" the humor, doesn't mean it's not funny. Just like people who don't "get" jazz, doesn't mean jazz is still not one of greatest inventions of mankind.

Go cry more, and maybe obtain a sense of humor and perspective while you're at it.

  • @F33bs Okay, you're a guy who finds it relative to the discussion to talk about what's scientificly or objectively funny? Well, good night...

  • @F33bs The American version is just shit, no matter how you cut it. It's funny if you're one of those people who laugh at everything, but for people who like good jokes and good humour (AKA: People with a good sense of humour) it is not funny at all. It's not a matter of "not getting it", it's a matter of "this is bullshit and it tries way too hard to be funny, and fails."

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow The American version is produced and written by the most decorated comedy writers and producers in America. I'm sorry you're such a philistine that you can't appreciate comedy if it isn't overly dry and fed to you in a British accent.

You may not be familiar with the superiority of American comedy, but I am, as it is one of my passions. So kindly walk yourself back to whatever rock you crawled out from, and spare us your boring opinions. Mmkay?

  • @F33bs And St. Anger was made by one of the most successful and awarded bands in the world that pretty much sells out stadiums everywhere. And it was STILL shit and Metallica STILL sucks. Point: I don't care who it was made by, if it's shit it's shit. I appreciate comedy when it is good, much like how I appreciate anything else.

I have never watched the UK version of The Office, I've only seen the American version so cut the crap. The American version is shit, utterly boring and not funny.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow There are people who hate Bob Dylan, but it doesn't make him any less of a poetic genius. Not that I actually think you know anything about comedy or what goes into creating it, as you seem to admit yourself. But also your analogy is bullshit, and not equivalent to circumstance. Mass popularity is different from critical praise.

Can you give me an example of a comedy show that you do find funny, or do you want to continue this roundabout of me not caring about your opinion.

  • @F33bs I find the Young Ones funny. Monty Python funny. Funny Jim Carey movies funny. Whose Line is it Anyway. Early South Park. Does it even matter? You're just gonna try to act like you're superior to me, as if you're a typical RIGHT WING overly-patriotic American fuck. (Yet, as I look at your page you claim to be leftist. HA! Either way, you should know as well as I do how hard they try to act superior yet still fail to actually be it. And that patriotism is stupid.)

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow its a n acquired taste, diff. from how shows have been produced. If you dont like the american version, you probably wont like the brittish version either.

  • @F33bs The 'superiority' of American comedy?? Where did you get that from? Most countries prefer ours...the American version is RUBBISH I cringed when I saw it (and not in the way I was supposed to, just because it was so bad). You Americans have a MAJOR superiority complex - I don't know why that is. No country is superior to any other but carry on, you just make yourself look stupid all on your own!

  • "sex fetish" lmao

  • Who else has seen this FILTH?!

  • 1:20

    Women...are...dirty.

  • I love the British situation comedies. After all, they came up with them first. Bring back the Black Adder. As an American, I am proud to call Great Britain my mother country. For now, our mother tongue is English, but, God knows how long that will last. Our Western European stock is disappearing fast.

  • "naming no names, i dont know any" hahah Gervais is LEGEND

  • Still funny nine years after it was first broadcast. Visually and in other ways if feels incredibly dated - huge computer monitors, David Brent typing 'sex' and 'fetish' into a search engine and getting a mere 2,230 matches...But it hit so many targets so beautifully. Thank you, thank you Gervais and Merchant.

  • @CottageLife100 Ricky gervais helped write the new office so if anything you should be approving the original for creating the American.

  • naming no names, i don't know any.

  • "How can I hate women? My mum's one."

  • Comment removed

  • The American version of the office was utterly repugnant. Steve Carell has only ever played the one character in any of his films... he is unoriginal and unintelligent.

    What a shitstorm.

  • @RowanTolley02 Why is it that you've seen all of this unoriginal unintelligent man's films? Seems you're only supporting his acting. Comment on the video instead of spewing hate, please.

  • @RowanTolley02 lol douche bag you are too stupid to understand the genius behind Steve Carells comedy. Dumb ass.

  • He was absolutely brilliant in Little Miss Sunshine, but he never seems to get good roles like that often enough.

I can see why people think he's rubbish, and I agree that most of his acting is in your face, slap-stick rubbish, but that's the role he has been given so it's hardly his fault.

And the American version of the Office is crap. It doesn't deserve to be associated with the original.

  • Have you used email before? "Yeh" .. Easy innit!

  • @manimalfully

    HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gotta love The Office, UK and US versions. It doesn't matter where it's from, they are both comedy gold ^^

  • "who else has seen this filfth?"

  • @hazardous1990 i laughed so hard, greetings from the US

  • thers no point getting defensive about which version of the office is better, and its not like the US copied it .. ricky gervais is the director in that aswell so he had almost as much involvement in the US Version as the english one

  • @redsmarties1471 He's not the director of that

  • That was brilliant acting.

  • Absolutely amazing acting. The way he can literally create these awkward situations and his expressions are just incredible.

  • Donna is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO freakin' hot. Nothing beats a beautiful sultry brunette in court shoes and a sexy skirt ;-)

  • Whats wrong with saying The Office : UK Version and The Office : American Version? They have so many versions of the UK

  • Ricky Gervais is a genius.

  • haha this is soooo funny! first time i watched the office (UK version) lol

    "you havent got email Joan."

"someone printed it out for me."

"who print this out for Joan?"

    *everyone raises hand*

    LOL

  • "Women should be equal!"

    "Women ARE equal!"

    LOL

  • is that the guy who keeps losin his eyeball in pirates of the caribbean?

  • @wildabeest4 Yes it is ;)

  • @Ninjaexterminator really? thats cool. i might have to start watchin this more often

  • @wildabeest4 yes, yes it is! i just looked it up on imdb. that's flipping awesome!

  • oh man the girl in pink is so fucking hotttt !!!! hmm yum!

  • 2,230 matches?....more like 22 million

  • They should be rewarded.

  • Watch this with cc Transcribe Audio on!

  • @Sierra753 What. The. Hell? "I'm angry. And all the kids." What?

  • Women. Are. DIRTY.

  • @FranBMan hahahahaha

  • @Gyphia I got 22,600,000 results in 0.24 seconds. I don't know what kind of crappy search engine you and Brent are using.

  • @benroo89 this was done like in 2000 wasn't it? lol you wouldn't get as many matches then

  • I got 22,600,000 results in 0.24 seconds.

  • I got 22,600,000 results in 0.24 seconds.

  • And this is what I don't understand about middle class humour. I'm irish working class and we were having a hoot with the organ player ( bum note bingo) at the last funeral and the middle class English have to pay go to a comedy club for a laugh? IT but I'm wacky!

  • I massively respect American humour, The Simpsons is just Godlike, But so is this. It was really copied around the world but this is the huge hit. I'm not sure that's an acting laugh!

  • but women, are, dirty.

  • I loved the US version first/more. But now I start to 'get' the british version and enjoy it too. Both versions are great stop comparing and shutup.

  • "whoelse's seen dis filth?"

  • "and their moms" hahaha

  • if i wake up in 20 years time and realise ive turned into david brent im going to throw myself off a bridge

  • you can see gervais almost laughing in some of the scenes.
