If Collie keeps playing the way he's playing, he'll go down as one of the biggest draft steals of all time. He was picked 127th overall, 19th WR, and he's outperformed them all. Look at 2009 NFL Draft on Wikipedia and then compare his stats to those picked before him. He blew them out of the water.

dwid, great rankings. I agree Collie will probably end up being the 4th or 5th best WR in the 2009 draft class, maybe even the 2nd or 3rd if he absolutely maxes his potential! Percy Harvin had the best rookie season though and has slightly more game speed than Collie. Crabtree and Maclin started to come on strong at the end of last season too. We'll see, but Collie looks like he should end up in the top 5.

People don't understand this very much but Good hands and route running is better than having a shit load of speed. Look at Hester, I know he hasn't been playing WR for that long but he didn't do much last year. If you just go by speed than your doing what Al Davis does. The NFL is a game of inches. Not saying speed isn't good at all but if your dropping passes and not running good routes what is the use. In 2-3 years he will be the colts #2 next to Wayne, Gonzales is more of a slot guy to me.

he doesnt have a shitload of speed but I wouldnt exactly call him slow, he ran a 4.55 which i would say is what most receivers average that start in the NFL. I know Marques Colston runs a 4.55 and has burnt dbs before. Id like to see both collie and gonzalez alternating in the slot to see which one does better on the outside. Im guessin Gonzalez will get the nod this year for the outside because of more experiencece but i think both could excel at any wide receiver spot they are asked to play

Dwid, id never criticise you, but maybe you should leave out some of the short passes, we dont have see every single catch in a highlight tape. its better to show 10 spectacular deep passes, than 100 short passes.

well alot of people criticize players highlight videos like "thats why its highlights" For Collie I wanted to show a variety of different catches he made instead of a few big ones. Alot of highlight videos of guys making a few big plays and dont do anything in the pros. I wanted to show that Collie had a variety of skills and could either be a deep threat or be that guy that simply moves the chains on 3rd down (which is probably how he will be used at first for the colts, in a Stokley role)

4.0 is the absolute highest you can get. 4.0 = Straight A's. 3.0 = B average. anywhere between means you had some A's and some B's probably. 2.0 = C average. I think 2.5 is mandatory for athletes to maintain. 4.0 is incredible.

Collie is legit. 10 Straight 100 yard games this year, even though teams KNEW he was the guy they had to stop--including when BYU star tight end receiving threat got hurt.

He did it against everybody, including against Utah who just had both of their corners drafted, one in the second round. Why he lasted until the 4th round I'll never know, but a perfect situation for him in Indy.

I was incorrect in one aspect. Donald Brown from UCONN who the colts picked in the first round is a running back who is half white. His dad is black and his mom is white. Brown along with his family made quite an impression on us colts fans. I haven't seen a press conference for collie just yet. Bill Polian was pretty excited about getting him and compared him to a former colt wide out brandon stokely. He reminds me of Wes Welker as well.
