its just the way you worded it made it sound like you were implying it was a common item that was not used on SOME engines when in fact it is ONLY used on some engines :P (there are only a fraction of the diesels over gas)
Oh ok... well luckily the engine was already warmed up. Even if it was cold, the glow plugs on the MKV Jetta don't even come on unless ambient temperature is less than 40F. I'm not worried :)
yea cause thats what his going to do.. they come on automatically for 3 seconds, then stay on if its colder, you can turn it on after its been off for up to 1 hour as soon as you turn the key.. everything is still hot so it wont damage the engine,
@biohazard1243 it wont damage the engine whether you wait or not, if you DONT wait and you simply turn in over it just wont start in cold weather, in warm weather it will start with out much difficulty with out the glow plugs
@majkaastara it wont care if the heating cycle finishes or not, if you DONT wait the full time in cold weather it will have trouble starting, but it wont screw anything up ^_^
It seems about 20% louder than stock. no annoying sounds. It's very difficult to capture the sound correctly using my canon elph camera. :/ the turbo whistle is pretty loud but the cam doesn't pick it up.. No kitty
Straight pipe that bad boy lol...

how much did you buy your car for?
im thinking of buying one of these. ps: have you gotten really good fuel milage as they say you should>?

I bought it new in 2006 and paid too much. You can get the new 2009 models for low 20s. I drive crazy and get a tank mpg average in the mid 40s.

It sounds kinda stockish from inside? Cat removed? Any resonances, or annoying buzzes?
