That is one atrocious frame rate. I'd quit the game if I had to play like this. I'm running 32 mods on my PC version of Skyrim, which would make this framerate even worse if I were playing on a Mac.
@MaestroDraven Their also recording, so yeah. Could be using a bit more RAM and processor than the game would like. I run it on a 27" iMac, and I have great Framerate.

@DemonFoxDeity win7 FPS are much much better. It kills me to say this cause i love my mbp (15 inch late 2011 2.0 ghz quad core i7) but if you have windows your frame rate will shoot up from 30-25 fps on mid settings to around 50-60 fps on mid settings.
i am trying to find out how to get skyrim on iMac but online it only shows that it is a windows game but does windows work for iMac if it does then do i need any software or do i just slide the CD in then download it? if someone could answer that ? that would be nice
@yankeesredwings it woks u need find the right 1 i chooses the wrong one and it lagged and it had no sound msg if u want a link for free sky rim plz subscribe me
Ok so one question, My skyrim lags like hell when a dragon appears..and I only have Skyrim Preferences allowing me to turn it to Low, Medium, High and Ultra.. but How do I turn off FFXAA? Im really frustrated it's so laggy.. (even on low settings..)
downloaded it from the Pirate bay..Ciderwrapper..
@OpenGLSecond Maybe if I ever buy a new mac. Not going to break it open to replace the videocard. (I don't mind doing that on a PC..there's no glass screen involved :3 )
Guess I'll just have to deal with it then if no one knows the solution (which only contains "How do I turn the FFXAA off in the wrapper version?")
@Esuta I thought u had pc not laptop. Ow then fuck.... There is a way to turn those things out.... Search for skyrim on intel 4500m there will be a config in video however graphics will be real shit i don't support you to do that your skyrim experience will be ruined. Just save some money and buy a budget computer(phenom ii x4 955, hd 7670 (when it comes out soon) or hd 6670, 3 gigs ram, 400W and some cooling and a motherboard and you're ok to play skyrim at ultra and many other games...)
@OpenGLSecond I have an iMac... (even more screwed xD?)
Ok..well I guess ill live with the lag then..It's not that bad... only the dragon you see for the first time in whiterun caused a lot of unbearable lag.. >__<
Yeah I am thinking of saving for a game PC in the near future.. only bought a mac for study and work, but it's not that great with gaming...some are fine on high settings, but skyrim doesn't :(
@OpenGLSecond the Imac is desktop, but the screenonly one.. you'll have to get out the glass of the screen to upgrade (everything is behind the screen, videocard etc), and that's seriously something I don't want to consider with my clumsyness..
I downloaded Skyrim and added the cider and everything, but when I started playing, I noticed that all of the people wearing armor were glowing bright orange and the guys who are on the caravan with you have no bodies at all, just a floating head and arms. Any clue on how to fix this?
@cluthz I downloaded it, but in the settings preferences when I change the resolution, nothing happens. I cant change quality either. Also, have any tips on getting it to run so smoothly? Very laggy on mine. Thanks a lot for putting so much time and effort into this, though!
Yes I know, the video lags, settings are too high to run smoothly while recording in HD.
For some reason screenflow kills my framerate. Turning down AA and some shadows to medium gives a stable 60 FPS. It will run slower on a MacBook Pro, because I use a hackintosh with GeForce GTX285 1024MB VRAM
Window mode is apple+enter or command+enter (depending on which keyboard you have)
I love the Skyrim on PS3. But What's stupid is Bethesda is to dam lazy to put it on Mac. Bethesda know that their are Mac user out there, but they don't wont to. I’m hoping someday their put their stupid Bethesda head together and make games for Mac. I hate doing all this things just to run Skyrim run on mac.
@dominick1290 When you buy it for your mac, even with bootcamp and windows installed on it, you wasted your money if your macbook isn't capable of displaying the graphics properly.
@CantillohhCantillo yea i didn't buy it i downloads it and used a cider wrapper but yea my mac only has like 268 i think mb of vram so it does lag I'm buying for xbox this weekend how is it? and my next dream is an alienware desktop
@dominick1290 The game is very good. It's an incredible huge world you can move around freely. If you enjoyed the predecessor Elder Scrolls Oblivion or Fallout 3 which was also developed by "Bethesda" than you will have a great time playing this.
Did you over clock your macbook? I'd like to turn mine up slightly, it's a core 2 duo like yours but 2.66 ghz. I would buy a new one but I want to wait for the redesigns in 2012.

@cluthz So if you're not recording does it run smooth, because I don't want to bother downloading it if I have to lower graphics to prevent lag.
