After reading this book i felt like it was possible being a good person nowadays, being "corrupted" in some way is easier than doing the right thing, but doing what is right is always better, there's no need for an argument, as said Atticus, "first we have to live with ourselves."
"I'd rather you shot at tin cans in the back yard, but I know you'll go after birds. Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird
Sorry, I didnt know people would get so upset over a simple question, and reading is not something I like anyways, well... have a nice day? Doesnt seem like you are having one :P
Atticus is definitely my no. 1 film hero, but what makes it even more amazing is that Gregory Peck was so similar to the character that Harper Lee gave him her fathers watch (the same watch that Scout/ Mary Badham plays with) and he became a father figure to Mary, and a life long friend to Tom Robinson/ Brock Peters, so much so that Brock read a eulogy at Gregorys funeral.
Mr. Atticus Finch is the greatest literary hero of all time. "An assumption one associated with minds of their caliber". (toss of the hand, dismissing the Ewells credibility) "That is no ideal to me...that is a living, working, REALITY!" Sheer Brilliance.
