  • Fantastic bow, and bow making! Thanks for sharing, Fredde!

  • nice vid fredde

  • Follow the string = Bow doesnt stretch out to its position before the shot, but the string actually bends the bow more and more each shot. naturally this is not wanted in a bow.

  • PLEASE make a video how to make a bow that amazing. I tried to make a bow like that two times and both failed. I really want to make a good one and i need to know how long it should be and what the shape should be. Also, will it be good when made out of just one piece of wood?

  • vad är det för trä fredde ? =)

  • It will make a good gift. What is it about this bow, that makes you think it is right for your wife?

  • I do hope your wife like it. if she don't send it to me lol

  • just making sure

  • so you cut down and tiller each side of the wood instead of just one and leave the sapwood right in the middle?

  • yeah, i shape the wood that way you can see in the video, :0)

  • i always come to joyful mood when i watch your videos 5/5

  • instead of using birch to make bows would it be better to make an arrow out of birch

  • like i sade in the video, the bow was for my wife, and it was a experiment,

but the bow still shoot good, 45 lbs

so its to strong for my wife,

  • what do you mean when you say the bow follows the string?

  • when you shoot with the bow you bending it, and bow shape it self after that, that is call follow the string,

  • you are so great at carving, that first bow looks so even like its machine made.

  • Great vid with a lovely looking ash bow... good shooting again too! 5/5

  • So, the idea is to use a young sapling and take a center cut from it?

    Bill

  • no, the idea is to save the sapwood so the bow dont break,

i breaking the rule in this video,

really bad fresh bow wood and no sapwood,

  • very cool, nice work.

  • do you think you could stalk and bag a european wild boar/hog with one of your bows and arrows?

  • i know ppl who hunt deer with 30-35 # bows, and the ash bow i show up in the beginning of the video is on 60# :0)

  • whoa. you could probably hunt two boars at once if they were standing side by side!

I'm definitely going to practice making my own bow this summer.
