  • Yeah I'd also appreciate some tabs if you don't mind annotating the video with them, cheers.

  • your bass is awesome, your playing is awesome, the smiths were awesome, its a testament to Rourke that his basslines sound so fresh and vital after so many years. Well done, you are the man!

  • One of my favourite bass-lines. You play it perfect! The chorus part is extremely difficult to play, I think, it´s just like its own melody within the song itself. Show us more of Andy Rourke...

  • Andy Rourke is one of the best bass players of all the times... When you introduce the smiths to somebody and this person don't like the music they always praise the bass line if they aren't noticed about how everything is just match and perfect in the Smiths. And you play just amazing congratulations)))))

  • Excellent Job!

  • You make the music of The Smiths look easy! Great job!

  • andy rourke is one of the most underrated bass players ever

  • he is really good i belive tht he is underrated because asoon and you bring up the smiths jonny marr is the name on people lips

  • this sounds awesome thanks mate!

  • a classic from a great band+++ good bass playing

  • I had never even noticed the awesome descending riff at 0:36

Thanks for these covers. Hearing the bass in center stage is just great, Rourke was truly one of the best and most creative bassists ever.

  • True but i think that almost all of their songs were written by morrissey and marr, so i don't know that if rourke had anything to with songs and their basslines, possibly he had. still the basslines are great.

  • Sorry, you're wrong. Do your research. Andy Rourke wrote every Smiths bassline, and Johnny has praised his bass playing in print for years. He and Johnny played together since they were teens, and they had a great musical chemistry. Just because he does not have writing credit doesn't mean he didn't write his own parts... look at George Harrison's parts on all of the Lennon/Mccartney songs, for example.

This is so annoying that people still think he didn't write anything!

  • really nice job also think about checking my videos out
