On December 24 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Johnson was found dead. Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened. Turns out he was still signed in myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repose a chain letter. If you don't repose this to six videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. I usually don't do this.
lao is women society.. like an Vietnam..only women work ,, all the man sit around bs in coffee shop and smoke all day.. while women work their azz off ....
Have a great time. If you are interested in food suggestions and markets to visit, check out our website - Uncornered Market. There's a Laos category and a bunch of photo sets that can help you spot what you need.
You are welcome. If you are going soon, definitely check out the Laos category on uncorneredmarket, particularly if you are interested in Lao food. I'm surprised how many people think the food there is synonymous with Thai food.
We didn't make it everywhere in the country, but what we experienced was terrific.
The captions and narration are rather un-complimentary to the culture. It seems like the camera person is unfamiliar--and unaccepting of the style of market or the foods offered. This kind of thing does little to promote understanding of these people--and might lead viewers to see this place as less sanitary or somehow inferior. In fact it is not. I know that is not your intent--but that tone comes across.
We don't intend to offend. If you read what we've written about the people, food and culture of Laos (on our website and in our photo galleries at uncorneredmarket ), I think you'll find that we are overwhelmingly and sincerely complimentary. Videos are only one dimension of how we cover, explore and process what we experience.

@iwasborninyourbutt An odd combination. On the whole though, the markets in Laos and Luang Prabang were really beautiful.

I had the best traditional Lao dish- a type of salad- at the base of the waterfalls outside of town. Recommended.
