i believe lord alfred had a big feud with the great johnny weaver. does anyone know how i can get a dvd of the mulligan/studd feud, the flair/mulligan feud and the buddy rogers and mr wrestling tim woods feud from the mid atlantic era
Ole said Gene was one of the toughest men he ever knew. I grew up watching the great Mid-Atlantic promotion and I think Gene had that band aid on his head for 4 or 5 years.
@Sargebri Lord Alfred Hayes was in the Mid-Atlantic area for about 6 months. He started as a commentator, but started to belittle Johnny Weaver starting feud in which Hayes brought in Nikoli Volkoff,Chris Markoff, and Jimmy Valiant. Valiant soon turned face after coming to the Mid Atlantic area. Before coming there Hayes was in Florida where he feuded with Sir Oliver Humperdink and Dusty Rhodes.
Forget the Road Warriors or anybvody else,Gene and Ole in their heyday were simply the best damn tag team ever, and I've seen them all come and go in the last 38 years.
It amazes me that this is the only footage on Youtube of the original Andersons, not that impressed with Gene, though this is near the end of his career.
i agree gene shouldn't have been wrestling. i loved the anderson stable when gene was a manager

They were calling Ole Anderson "The Rock" at one time.

Gene looks horrible on this tape. He had a nice career but clearly should not have been wrestling at this point.

This is during Gene and Ole's last run as tag champions, and as noted Gene isn't in his prime here.

I never knew Lord Alfred Hayes worked in Mid-Atlantic. I just know about his work in the WWF and the AWA.

Greg Valentine looks like Bulldog Bob Brown if he entered a Johnny Valentine lookalike contest
