I got this, and I LOVED it. Dropped it in the toilet, still worked. Had it for about a month, then the screen cracked! I'm very scared to get another one because of all my bad luck. They could have made the durability a little stronger. But if you are very careful I would recomend this.

Ok so i got this at kmart about 3 weeks ago. When i opened it there was no charge to the battery. so i was like ok cool ill charge it. after that it didnt sync up to my cpu and then I have a question, CAN THIS PLAY YOUTUBE! I was using the 28 and.......... nothing. I returned it and now currently saving up for the ipod touch. Im not trolling, just seeing if it was a product defect.

Have had mine for ~5 months. Love it. Plays many audio and video formats, camcorder is subpar but I can live with that, and once you get google market your options are unlimited

I was leery of the resistive touch screen at first, but I have realllly gotten used to it. even to the point where I can type on the keyboard without using landscape mode.

Its not ideal for browsing the web, but for listening to music and playing games? Amazing.

Be careful though, it is mostly plastic and fragile.

@clubberer100able the iTouch has a forward facing camera, bigger screen, probably better screen quality, multitouch and speakers. This gives you the freedom that Android gives you (mini-USB, no iTunes, no BS Apple App requirements, etc.). Also, $150 (Archos) vs $230-300-400 (iTouch).

Oh, and you can now get the Google Market on the Archos 32. Very easy to do it. Just install and reboot. I think the Archos 32 can be a serious alternative to the iTouch. Very cheap, and gets the job done.

I don't mind the apps part that much. I'm not willing to pay, even if it's only 2 USD for a game or something that I will only use to showcase an Ipod to friends.

But on the other hand for android there will be an explosion of new apps the following months including useful utilities (e.g. XBMC remote) and best of it a lot will be free and open source.
