  • I think that this would be to stun the fishes in the water to make it easier for them to eat.

    I was recently in thailand and noticed two fishermen doing this but with a funnel i presume also to stun the fishes to be scooped up by there trailing net! But i could be wrong.

  • no, not aggressive, guide has been on the water for over 15 years and described this as playful. He's a marine bio guy so he probably knows his stuff.
