I think that this would be to stun the fishes in the water to make it easier for them to eat.
I was recently in thailand and noticed two fishermen doing this but with a funnel i presume also to stun the fishes to be scooped up by there trailing net! But i could be wrong.

no, not aggressive, guide has been on the water for over 15 years and described this as playful. He's a marine bio guy so he probably knows his stuff.
I am from the bay and have never seen whales like this before. After seeing this video I am soooooo going on an actual whale watching boat this year!!! It is absolutely amazing!!!!
Beautiful and very rare indeed! I have never seen anything quite like it. (for nearly 4 minutes straight!) Amazing...Amazing...I am always a wee-bit nervous of having a REAL "Jonah Day"...giggles

two whales or more - on the left is a flapping dorsal fin, on the right, the whale is smacking down his/her fluke (tail)
