Looks like silt stirred up by propwash from the ROV.

Look at the dispersal pattern - its mixed in and dispersing as we watch, rather than staying in globs the way oil does in water.

DPT is in feet. Right now on BP's site the two rov's monitoring the BOP are at 4966 and 4905. Feet.

hey rockman. Upper rt. corner of vid. DPT = depth. 1523 = meters. 1523 X 3.28 feet = 5,000 feet = sea floor. DUH!

This is taken at 1607 feet of depth the "sea bed" is at 4998 feet. so this is probably not the "sea bed". DUH!!!!!!

gradually sinking is not the same as collapsing. If it were collapsing, there would be a tidal wave. If it is just sinking, then there won't be a tidal wave. big difference. I wish people would stop with the fearmongering.
