I used to play in this when I was a boy. That was a long time ago (late 70s / early 80s). I visited the park back in '06 while on vacation, just to see if the old rocket was still there. Sure enough, there she was, but access was denied. The opening you used to climb through was welded shut. I was a bit saddened by this, but I am happy now to know it is being restored & that more children will get to enjoy this beautiful rought iron wonder of yesterday!
