  • Put a chill down my spine and goose bumps. God Bless America! Oorah!

  • Excellent audio, but next time use at least a mono-pod. The shaky video really doesn't do justice to the performance.

  • Trop belle musique

  • Simply AMAZING!!!!

    Cheers mates!!! =)

  • Goose bumps. Amazing.

  • Piper is Kieth Mayberry from the L.A. Scots Pipe Band at the Ventura Highland Games. At the time one of our newest pipers He did a great job. They say the pipes send the men to battle and souls to Heaven. Scotland the Brave

  • I listen to, and watch, this vid on a regular basis - it is without doubt a stunning performance and I hope that those Pipers are aware of the effect that their playing has on people like myself (And I am only half-Scottish, though I'm not yet sure if it's the top half or bottom; or the left half or right; front half or back)

  • B E A U T I F U L !!!!!!!!

  • im not scottish at all but ive always loved their culture and music.

  • @deepdark876 bagpipes are scottish by all means, however amazing grace is not.

Thank you to all whom defend their countries.

  • this makes me proud to be scottish

  • i like listening to this, makes my mind more relaxed.( w/ dead xbox360 right beside me)

  • for the death of my xbox

  • it would be so funny if some random ppl make a video like this and an xbox 360 (with rrod) at the stage. and a projector screen that displays something like the E74 screen. LOL

  • @droxven lol

  • well if he played so bad

then why was he up there?

    keep rocking whoever you are

    from a fellow bagpiper ;)

  • AG is the "money" tune for pipers. I bet though, just about every piper there is thinking, "crap, not this tune again". For all of the bagpipe "lovers", try looking up a bit more of the traditional tunes, the ones that grip your soul, shake it and make it cry a boat load of tears for 600 years of history of an amazing instrument.

  • the only thing that makes me cry its haunting

  • The first time I heard this played on the pipes it sent a shiver up me. It still does to this day. Ireland forever.

  • Makes me think of the NY firefighters after 9-11; they played this at lots of funerals.

  • every time i hear this song played on bagpipes, i just lose it. I cry like a little child :p

  • god bless the scottish

  • god bless the free world

  • I wish they did this sort of thing in New Zealand!

  • No offence to any one this touched but that tune would bring a tear to a Scots glass eye, those pipes mean so much when you hear them as a Scot, its hard to understand. But im glad more than the scots like them thank you all!!

  • Thanks for your comments! I am not a scots and have always been fascinated with bagpipes! I find myself overwhelmed with emotions every time I hear them. Its a treat for me whenever I get a chance to see and hear it live.

  • In memory of all .....

  • Very authentic. I do like it.

  • I'm Russian. First time I heard it a month before my concert (I'm a student, but I play in poor medieval band), Well, after that I realised - I want to play this thing! We played Amazing Grace on three whistles and a violin, but with a bit of pyrotechnics - I've been told that was the best moment of our concert..

And when I heared it on pipes live - I went crying, really

  • I wept

  • it makes you want to cry

  • This is amazing. I always remember such great things about the people i lost.

  • We old men try but we always fail. Please play that over my old body.

  • I love scotland

  • I thank you from the very essence of my soul! This was amazing! Thank you so much!

  • You have good taste in music.

This performance is EXCEPTIONNAL, especially where the ENTIRE band joins in = MAJESTUOUS, with BEAUTIFUL intervals... truly TRADITIONAL music.

Many thanks to the Scottish band and those who recorded and shared this video with us.

Where can we got more information or even recordings?

    Georgios

  • sehr schönes und trauriges Lied

  • magnifica!!

  • Beautiful solo performance!!!

  • This song is so amazing...it tugs at my heart every time I hear it, especially on the bagpipes. An intensely moving song written in testament to the awesome love and power of God himself...God bless everyone who hears this song.

  • C'EST MAGNIFIQUE.

  • You did a very nice Job. Greets from Germany

  • if this doesn't make you cry i don't know what will...amazing grace is touching enough as it is adding the pipes makes it almost impossible not to tear up at least a little.

  • 1 ring of death :'(

  • Amen brother...

  • this makes me tear up. simply beautiful.

  • tears here, lots of them

  • dieses Lied ist gut zum entspannen xD

  • bakinblack you look like Matthew Broderick

  • scottish and irish pride here.....we will conquer all or die trying....bezerker all the way

  • 1.) you play it with talent not tradition nor pride

2.) Listen to it as a piece of amazement and not music

3.) Invade Scottland? Nice to see you actually understand your country couldn't fight its way out of a paper bag.

    You are a lame fag.

I would proudly march to war and to my death with One Partiotic blast from the Bag pips

Then into war with you Brazillion Lover Boys with Ego's bigger then yourself.

    Get up

    Get a life

    Find yourself a decentHobby

And stop destroying traditions such as this!

  • d3ccy I respect traditions, I really like the Amazing Grace when is played in Samba style, but this video here is BORING! Also, you have no chance against the Almighty Brazilian Expeditionary Forces. Brazil could invade and conquer Scotland in two days IF we want this.

  • I doubt that

    You will go for Scotland

You got the 45 Commando there

    Good luck with that

ANd also the fact that you would have the greatest forces in the world

The British Army, X Squadron, SAS, SBS and last but not least the Royal Marine Commando's.

Germany thought that they could with there vast size and superiosity in World War Two.

No-one has sucessfull invaded Britain since the Medevil ages.

  • Oh that's funny you dick. Like I said in Portuguese in the other comment, brazil cant even fucking keep its economy running straight and you think you are going to invade a conutry that is backed by england and america and ireland and all of europe? Go suck a dick you faggot ass bitch. As forcas expeditorias do brasil? Toma no cu viado.

  • darknomad You make me laugh like a child, you translator is broken dude, ahahahahahaha

We gonna invade USA and Scotland you like it or not

  • hey buddy, im not american. I'm portuguese, from portugal. Eu sou portugues, nao brasileiro. Entao eu nao sei as palavras certas do brasil.

  • Voce deve ser viado nao? Seu cabrao, vai dar na bunda da sua mae seu filho da puta. O brasil nem consegue manter a sua propria economia certa e voce pensa que vai invadir algo? Vai te foder cara

  • Yuo are going to invade?! Whoa... come on up. Bring a lunch and a Snickers bar. :)

  • You ignorant wretch. How can you classify a whole nation using a handful of stupid bastards that happened to be born there? Keep in mind that some Americans share the same ancestors that you do. I'm Scottish and fucking proud of it.

  • hell yeah!

    scottish PRIDE!

  • Anybody know what tartan they are wearing???

  • what is the pouch at the froont of the kilt for?

iv allways wanted to know what it holds?

  • it was orriginally worn into battle to protect the genitals

  • thanks!

  • Heehee as this is probably true, it basically takes place of the pockets of the pants (its just in the middle now) lol

  • its a sporran, many different kinds are worn for certain occasions, serves for the wallet and pockets

  • For myself it holds cigarettes and lighter, many pipers keep spare reeds and a spit cloth in there. The sporran is used because, as others have said the kilt has no pockets.

To the tartan question there are many clan tartans here: Nicholson, Stewart, poss. Grant, and Black Watch, which is one of the tartans allowed for non-Scottish. The lone (or solo) piper? I'm not sure.

  • this made me cry as it reminded me of my sisters funeral as it was always her wish 2 hav a pipe band at her funeral playing amazing grace as she was lead 2 the new world xxxRIP hunni xXx
