  • Very good different from original. I would like to play tht one too.

  • Gostei desse porra!

Toca bem, até melhor que muito pianista filha da puta que lota sala e fika pagando de poser disvirtuando a obra!!

  • Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude, you rock.

  • WOW you are great

  • I first heard this when I was a kid in a Tom and Jerry cartoon, and thats when I knew i wanted to learn to play the piano :p

This pianist is trully amazing! Cant stop watching! Im impressed

  • Good.

  • Even if this is not the original/ horowitz version. It is extremly impressive. This could be easly played in front of an audience of 500 people. You are good, you should try to perform locally and gain popularity.

  • 500?

He, played in front of 70.000 people now on youtube and got only positive critic, so why only 500?

    ;)

  • Well considering this is not nessicarly a professional player (even though he plays like one) He is not titled as someone like Horowitz. So getting on stage and playing this good will bring much popularity and bring him to become a more known artist.

  • Incredible amateur...maybe you've missed a calling!

It is almost impossible to play this way without being close to professionalism and as you are a banker as I gathered from another video and have no time to practice so here's my question : HOW WOULD YOU PLAY IF YOU PRACTISED AS MUCH AS A PRO AND FOR YEARS? Well...you would be a pro!! :-)

    Congratulations

  • Whats the difference between this and Liszt's arrangement?

  • Bravo, very inspiring too!

  • I'm not sure if its your piano, but the ending was one of the best iv herd a non professional ever play, but it was a bit off in tune and speed. Other than that id have to say very good job.

  • I'm not surprised that this piano is out tune! It is obvious))

  • i'm surprised it's "out of tune". obviously you're not speaking either of the piano or the technician, if it's tuned.(?) maybe you're speaking of the playing itself eh?

  • I can see you must have worked very hard to learn this peice.

  • das klavvier ist leider verstimt . aber sonst super

  • well played!! (plz im not trying to start arguements), but look, if someone THIS GOOD is having trouble playing this and lang lang plays it like he eats these pieces for breakfast, you can see really how amazing LL is

  • LL is a charlatan. All show that Liberace did with more class and better musician, besides.

  • 4:42

  • Nice :D but at some moments you seemed to be off beat other than those like 5 moments which where very short you did great :D

  • grats!! ur amazing!

  • Very very good excelleny job Genuis :D but you mush tune the piano ... yeah ?

  • wow that exellent! 10 out of 10, where did you get this version?

  • bravo~! it's pleasant to listen to your music.

  • You are not forgiven, but very good job anyway :D

  • Ohh !!

first is also bored to hear [sry]

but Friska is the Best !!

Good job Man !! wow !

    i play only normal version

    not Horowitz

  • The original?Your lieing. Because the orginal is almost impossible to play. And Liszt of his time and some other pianists could play this.

  • What? You have it switched - the Horowitz arrangement is much more difficult than the original. Horowitz himself said it was one of the most fiendish things he ever played.

The original is pretty straightforward to learn with 10 years of serious instruction.

  • you are sooo amazing

I would dream of playing that piano piece

"but I don't take piano lessons"

    waaaaa!!!

    you are very very good

    my words I not enough

oh by then way how long did you learn that ???

  • xD very good

  • does anyone know where i would be able find this sheet music?

  • sounds like stride piano

  • i found the sheet for the mozart paraphrase but can you please tell me where you got the sheet music for volodos hungarian rhapsodie? wonderful playing :)

  • ur piano dnt sound that out of tune u should hear my piano its propa bad lol

  • Great work ! I noticed though that the first bit was the original? The first bit of the horowitz arrangement score that I have, and that I have seen people play, has a lot of rolls, and there are 16 repeated b's, not 4 like in the original, was this on purpose?

    Anyway good job!

  • very talented, you should try the horowitz arrangement of danse macabre, its hella difficult but I think you would be able to master it

  • i for one love the tuning

  • Dude, that Ab needs tuned BADLY!

  • Bravo! Great hands

  • yer my favorite youtube pianist! w00t!

  • i have played both and I feel that this version is a little more difficult to play - but the main thing is that there are a lot more notes than in the original which you can compare by looking at the score, and can be learned by using the same method of lots of slow practise. More notes doesn't always mean more difficult

  • OK, here is a question and I would like you to be honest. I admire the amount of work that has gone into this. I am interested to know if you have played the original and which version you find easier. if you like, please answer in a private message if you like.

  • where did u get this version? the one i have sounds simpler. you were great! lang lang plays this like the tom and jerry do, my personal opinion...lang lang sux at this song, who agrees with me, any one?

  • totally..

  • hey, where did you get the sheet music to this?

  • You did a good job of playing this piece. It needs a bit of your personal touch on it. By that I mean if you think that some places should be played at faster then do it, if you think that that dminor 7 should be a D7 instead do that. Also the balance gets a little haywire at times, make sure you're not drowning the melodys. Other than that though beautifully done.

  • lang lang sucks but this is awesome job congrayoulashtionsz

  • nice job, but where did u get the sheet music for mozart volodos turkish march

  • wow, played on a super brite yamaha upright. Great!

  • bravo

  • Amazing job, man. Gosh, you feel it so much. the first part up to app. 1:40 is incredible. Seems like a lot of practice. Congratulations.

  • Fantastic stuff man, as has been said before a nicer piano tone would benefit the video but apart from that...wow! The Friska I think was better than the Lassan which is weird cos it's about a thousand times harder to play! But that said, this is Horowitz's hardest transcription and you definitely did it justice. 5 stars any day.

  • Great job, but please: your piano needs to be tuned!

  • I`ll certainly listen to this guy again, he`s pretty good.

  • pianoforte scordato , esecuzione,molto imprecisa ....peccato (((

  • Let's just show the man a little more respect. I think he did a fine job, worthy of more than "this is why he wont.." etc etc. So in essence you are just the pot calling the kettle black, the average youtuber.

  • that was absolutly amazing!!

  • BUGS BUNNY

  • i like your body movements during the play.

  • I don't. I think its a major reason why an audience will never see him at a major concert hall. The first half was magnificent. Bravo.

  • I guess Purenicotine hasn't seen many piano performances lol

  • for starters, which professional pianist plays Horowitz' arrangement live in concert these days? The only one i've seen is Lang lang and I don't like his way of playing this.

  • wow very very nice!

  • tom and jerry

  • pity about the tuning

maby i could tune your piano for u !

  • Ouch! YES. I agree. I'm glad you noticed!

  • Great Job!

I wish the piano was tuned better and especialy that the quality of the audio was better...

  • Very nice.....

  • Fantastic!

It takes incredible amount of work to get it that well, and it shows.

  • needs some improvements.

  • once you get into it is not that hard its like telling a story but through your fingers!

    ~daniel

  • That´s crazy!!! you´re extremly good!!!

How long have you been playing the piano???

    nice greets

  • Beautiful rendition!

Back when I began practising this piece, I injured my wrists and hands quite frequently. After becoming accustomed to how unforgiving it can be, it's become my favourite piece to play. Every time I play it, it electrifies my mind.

  • INCREDIBLE!

  • the best !!!

  • I personally prefer the original Liszt version, but this is good too :) I can tell you've put a lot of effort into practicing :D keep it up!

  • 5.52 - 6.22 is "torture" by horowitz

  • THAT was amazing! SO amazing. I'm going to try to learn that!

  • This is my favourite version and I really like it. Fantastic playing!

  • HEY, i never heard this version, is it easier or harder than the original? :P

  • in my opinion...HELLA HARDER

  • right after the main theme(around the middle), its harder, but the ending is simplified (although it sounds more impressive)

  • the piano looks great, but the sound.. ooops

  • i dunno about u guys, but i personally dont really like it when composers change other composers works. well, it might sound better than before, but still.

  • liszt hinself did it alot

  • Yes you piano needs to be tuned, but it was great

  • amazing dude! awesome! how long did it take u to play this song?good job:)

  • About 9 minutes and 43 seconds, apparently.

  • LOL

  • May I ask what piano you have? Yamaha wat?

  • I really like how this guy plays this

    Yamaha upright sounds great

  • I dont get it! why volodos transcribes liszt rhapsody in order to make it still more difficult than it already is? who needs a volodos transcription of a vladimir horowitz arrangement of a lizst rhaspody? thats sick!

  • Exactly! What's next, a Liszt-Horowitz-Volodos-Yundi Li-Lang-Lang-Kempff transcription!?

  • that would be fun. but kepff is dead, which could restrict it a bit.

  • i think it was vladimir horowitz who made this a lot more difficult as a show-off/encore piece. volodo he just turned the music into sheetmusic, so that now we could follow the step of horowitz. (but apparently, there are not much people can do that....)

  • hands down to you!!! wow, I'll be the most happy woman on the whole earth the day that i become to play this song!

  • You do mean piece? =0

  • yeap¡ that´s what i mean

  • Get that piano tuned man! That was awesome.

...ohh... that's what the previoius poster said...

    That was awesome!

    (get that piano tuned please)

  • Agree on the tuning!

  • Get that piano tuned man! That was awesome.

  • Congratulations man!

This piece is quite difficult and you played it awesome. I'm playing it aswell, but i'm not good as you yet.

    see ya!

  • The person who gave him a D must be retarded.

  • Your piano is totally out of tune.

It's terrible to play in that way... excepiting honky tonky :-)

  • At 4,42 there is a...VW, or is it a Ford? nevertheless its a 4-cylinder engine. Apart from that your performance shows that you understand the music profoundly, very good :D

  • Lets chip in and buy this guy a piano. Once again, WHO IS HE?? why isn't he famous? Why dont the people who make these videos say hello and goodby, like smile and say their name. Mines Guy, see no problem.

  • nice on the lassan part. i thought you started the friska part alittle to fast but you nailed it. i think that everything you played is great. piano needs to be tuned though sorry. i just had to point that out. i bet it would sound better on a grand piano. i think in the friska part you just need to have fun with it and move your body alittle as if you want the listener to think that this piece is no problem. thats wut my parents tell me but wut ever. im just 14. you did a fantastic job.

  • AWESOME. that takes----something i'm to lazy to use...(no not those)

  • I love all your videos and this is no exception.

  • Who are you, what is your name, and where do you live?? positively fabulous.

  • excellent shame about piano-could make phrasing more concise and dramatic-stacatto/legato etc

  • amazing! bravo.. now play this on a steinway&sons grand piano ;) and in a concert hall and become famous :)

  • Superb, but the piano needs to be tuned!!!

  • beautiful, congratulations :)

    regards from hungary

  • oooo someone's legit!

  • dude you rule, how long have you been playing, why arent you famous yet?

  • very cool. tune that sucker, PLEASE!!!!!

  • Very Good I like your style! ah yes the piano....

  • excellent job - just tune the piano and the instrument will do the piece justice as well!

  • AWSOMEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

  • i would pay to see these in real life man i hope you do shows and if so when and where?

  • for a non-professional pianist your performance is excellent. You clearly have the skill to improve it with a few attentions to detail too.

Your piano has a great sound.

  • Incredible!!! I have been trying to learn this but only play by ear, hahaha. I know the first minute and a half but would love to see you play this with a camera above looking down and play it very slowly so I can keep up, lol :-)

  • haha, you only have 13 1/2 pages to go!!! seriously, just get the sheet music. i'm learning it too, you want the sheet music.

  • You should record this again after tuning the piano. It would sound really good.

  • niice!!! you play better then certain pianists ... how long did it took you to learn and memorize this?

  • Nice playing but a little excessive use of pedal. What I mean is he strikes the keys on an "Open" Piano or maintains the pedal down on a chord succession and entire scales. This is a difficult piece and other than the above, well done.

  • one of the best hungarian rhapsodys

  • does anyone know where i can get the hungharian rhapsody sheets of horowitz version?

  • very gooooooooooood!

  • Very nice i liked it

  • just too much pedal, and a sound too sharp. but your playing is, imo, even better than Lang Lang's. Keep going!

  • I really liked the way you played this. I've been listening my way through the other renditions on youtube, and they sound (to my ears): technical, angular, and abrasive. The way you play sounds much more flowing and musical. Thanks.

  • Out of tune piano? So what? If a piano's strings were completely in tune, it would make an improper sound (it's supposed to be out of tune). This was quite enjoyable. Also, I've never heard this rendition before. In any case, fantastic playing!

  • Nice work!!!

  • u deserve a better piano yeah.

  • exactly

  • You will get a much better sound out of your piano if you put some Blankets , curtains etc. between the wall and Piano back .. keep trying the sound .. It works I do that until the piano is just right for me. you go for a mellow tone .. Its strident at the moment . Give urself a chance..We haven,t all got Steinways....

  • very good!!!

  • You play beautifully. Like the other posters said, you deserve a well tuned piano.

    Sanjosemike

  • no thats a yamaha t-121. please get ur piano tuned!!!

    wasn't bad :D

  • not bad :-)

  • wow, my fingers hurt just from seeing that, ur preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty gooD!

  • Great job!

  • I didn't realize how different the friska section was, because the Lassan is identical to the transcription that I have, but the second half was great.

  • Is that a yamaha U1? I have one just like it and it sounds exactly the same (LOL) Because I am too lazy to call the piano tuner, I have just been playing on my electric keyboard the last few months.

  • =o :gasps: electric keyboards are good but unless they are hammer action, there not as fun to play :P

  • very well done!!!

    keep it up!!!

  • woooooow its so amazing your interpretation, my respects, i really wonder to have a little of your talent congratulations

  • Bravo!!! Bravissimo!!!!!!!!!

  • Great climax at 06:55

  • I was wondering why Horowitz? ... I guess it all starts after the Lassan. I'm impressed, but I think I prefer Liszt's original version. It was flamboyant enough the way it was originaly written. These more modern harmonies added by Horowitz take away from the piece's magic and intention. Horowitz was a pianist, maybe at Liszt's level. As a composer though...

  • I agree with you. The original is the best. Even without the custom cadenza.

  • Just watched it again. Absoutly amazing!!!

  • Watch his fingers go! About the piano, can't speak for anyone else, but I do know poor people have poor ways. You do the best you can with what you have to work with sometimes...

  • Messed the other comment up! Where can I get music for the Volodof arrangement? Can't even find Horowitz's version.

  • Keep watching this, SO good. Where can y

  • Ugh, yeah that piano saounds crappy... but you're great ^^

  • lol. I don't care about the piano, you've got a lot of talent dude

  • Where can I learn that masterpiece.

  • Tune up...

  • eww, tune your g-sharp below middle c

  • Excellent piece, I found free sheet music for it on SheetMusicFox DOT com and absolutely love it!

  • bravo you are a great player.

  • Holy shit man,that is something!nice skillz.peace

  • Great 5* but I prefer maksim's

  • Really? I LOVE Maksim, but I thought his interpretation was bad. He just played it, didn't feel it.

  • Just great. Really enjoyed your interpretation.

  • Please....buy a piano

  • The piano is awful! You are awesome!! =)

  • the piano is awful and you are alsome

  • Marry me.

  • That was really cool! I don't know a whole lot about the piano, but that looked and sounded pretty amazing! The last note did sound out of tune though, but you already said the piano wasn't greatly in tune. Bravo!

  • sydenmau.....You cleary don't have a clue!!!!! This is amazing. I've tried to master this piece..Not gonna happen!

  • That is incredible. Hat's off.

  • A flawless performence. BRAVO!!!

  • good! but your piano is out of tune! lol

  • you are an animal...
