Thank you for explaining that the first couple inches of new growth may not be a person particular hair type. THat was a very helpful tip. I am transitioning now, I have a protective style in.
Thanks again for the encouragement and for making videos... feel free to subscribe to my channel!!
I hope you don't mind me asking questions on your other videos but I did want to know about your Aphogee protein treatment video- did you only use the 1 step protein treatment?
I think that this about the best info I've heard on transitioning yet. Your tips are very helpful and more importantly useful. I wish I would have heard this prior to transitioning and bc'ing.
Very informative video. I started transitioning about 3 months ago and I have had a ton of shedding. I'm going to try the Apoghee products because I didn't know about the protein thing. so thanks very much.
where are you taping at the view is nice and it seems like a peaceful place to be i have section 8 and i would love to bein a quuite beautiful place..you must be down south somewhere
I'm surprised to see people say there is no such thing as scab hair. Yes it doesn't sound nice. When I cut off all my relaxed ends I did have a wierd curly layer (about an inch) that wasn't relaxed hair and not like the hair close to my scalp. I always figured what people meant by scab hair. After a while it changes after stopping relaxing and the hair normalizes w/the scalp so the hair coming out isn't as crunchy, wirey, or inflexible as scab hair is.
it looks really nice outside so i dont blame u 4 doing ur vid out there and ur looking pretty comfortable 2=) thanks soooo much 4 the tips=) right now im in transition and ive been air drying my hair and keeping it braided up. i also sometimes where wigs if i want that str8 look b/c i try 2 stay away from the heat.
i didn't know about the scab hair..that makes me happy bc i still don't know what texture ima end up with...i like surprises...:-) oh nice rooster in the background lol !
This was great advice. Especially about the scab hair not necessarily being the curl pattern you will end up with. Thanks for the vid. Hope all is well with you. Also, the rooster in the background cracked me up!
Thanks for the tips, I have been transitioning for the past 6 months and I Kind of have it down pact at this point but I still found some of your advice to be really helpful. BTW your hair is gorgeous!!!
great video..thats where i am right now NO more perms for me. i watched HAIR GENOCIDE.. lol

How will you know where your actual texture is and the scab hair.
I have been transitioning for 6 months so I guess I have scab hair maybe?

I'm not exactly sure, but I provided a link to a thread on it, so maybe it will be able to provide you with the information you need.

So what happens to the scab hair? Does the texture of it change as it grows out? or as u continue to trim off the relaxed ends?
Great vid!
