  • Great Flight! perfect description

  • I want to make a heli in dedication to someone but they fly Bell 212s. I can't find a bell 212 fuselage anywhere! This is a good looking ship though. Great job.

  • very nice job filming and flying this is a very realistic looking chopper.

  • Well hello thre,

Can you plz tell me what kind of setup you were using in this very nice helikopter??

My friend is bilding a Vario to and i think he wants to no to so if you can tell me i can tel it to him.

Thanks and regards. (sorry for the bad englisch i am a dutch guy)

  • @firemanbonkie

Sorry, not my helicopter. I'm the one shooting the video. The motor and other info is described in the drop-down section directly below the video player window.

  • @StormyMaxPerry Hello. I need to be in touch with Mr. Sprayberry for build or parts. Can you make the connection pretty soon? Thanks.

  • 1:19 you would think its an actuall helicopter

  • Damn, your good at controling this Chopper.

  • @smallblockandy

Thanks but I'm shooting the video, not twiddling the sticks. Darrell was doing the flying.

  • What inspired the mid-80's PHI livery? Did you fly in this ship? It looks almost exactly like I remember it.

My dad used to turn wrenches on the full-scale ship. Seen it many times in LFT, on the ramp, in the hangar, flying over the house, etc.

  • @Hawaiifive01

It's not my heli, I just wrench on it occasionally and shoot the videos :-) The paint scheme was applied by an owner prior to the current owner/pilot. I like it - it's a sharp, contrasty and striking paint pattern.

  • Very nice job!

  • Nice Helicopter. & Nice flying.

  • There are better heli's for carrying cameras. This one is for scale flying only.

  • nice heli. good job behind the camera too.

  • That is some fantastic scale flying. Whan it comes to heli's I like scale flying so much more than 3D.

  • No.

  • I was wondering what your battery/motor requirements are for your beautiful vario?

  • OK, this isn't my heli but I do know the owner/builder very well. All details of the 412 are readable in the "more info" section of this page up by the yellow "Subscribe" button. Thanks for looking.

  • That was amazing, the best scale and slow flying I have ever seen (wish I could get my head round flying like that). I love watching Vario Helis on youtube as they are beautifully made scale models and your electric conversion sounds nice too.

  • Youre flyin' great ...!!...youre a real pilot are'nt you ?

  • absolutely incredible flying and what an awesome heli..cant wait to get mine!!!!

No matter what the wife says!!!!!!

  • Wow...that is so realistic looking. Cant get over how well this heli handles.

    Great vid job...5 stars!

  • I'd like to get into this hobby. Did the electric conversion make the model lighter or heavier and do you have more flight time with the electric motor than with the nitro engine?

  • To start, fueled heli's will always fly longer as it's easy to add more or larger fuel tanks with little weight penalty. This bird is good for about 8min safe flight. Nitro would be double that - easy! ..and noisier and oily, and subject to paint & detail deterioration quicker from solvent attack from the fuel. Weight is a smidgen higher but well worth it. Hope that helped.

  • Thank you. It'll be a while before I can save enough pennies to get one. I'm an HH-60G maintainer so I'm more partial to a dull military paint appearance.

  • Thanks

  • holy hell...thats huge....wered you get it and how much was it

  • It's not mine. Belongs to Darrell Sprayberry, the person mentioned in my video description up there on the right of this page. Also check the reply I just left for heli15firehawk.

  • How much was this one all together

  • Don't know. It's not my heli but I know it's worth a lot more than the owner paid. It's the best I can do - sorry.

  • What are you using to get the "Turbine" Sound? i love it. Excellent flying and marvelous heli!!!

  • There's nothing particular used to produce the 'turbine whine' sound effects. The gears naturally make noise but its always masked by en engine's sound if powered that way. Have you watched/heard my Bell 412 conversion video? The motor in my 412 is laud without any artificial help - something about the way that motor responds to the ESC pulses causes the noise.

  • Well Yeah, I know what you mean. My Trex 600E makes the same kinda sound, it sounds more like a scale sound than a nitro any day, but i just kinda thought yours sounded even more like a turbine than just the motor. I guess its just being enclosed in the Fuse that gives it a little better sound than just a Pod and boom heli like mine. I will be enclosing my 600E in an Agusta A-119 Koala fuse soon, hopefully mine will sound even more scale after that as well. anyhow great heli man, happy flyin

  • This is a absolutely fantastic model, it looks very well built and flown in a true scale manner, well done and thanks for posting. It makes traditional turbine model seem attractive in price now
