I love how sudden it was with him stabbing him, it was shocking and heart wrenching but at the same time kicked so much flank. Such a sudden turn on the usual funny game.

But I guess the designers though it would be graphic, so they might as well exclude the idea of blood.

Nothing else to say, than just truly heart breaking. Every time I see this it brings tears in my eyes, you just don't expect him to die. Done so well without the need for blood, you are not in doubt he is actually dying. Truly amazing they can make a scene like this and still keep it in the spirit of Monkey Island.

oh and then she somehow comes back to life fully at the end.

@inabeautifulplace Well, not exactly. The Voodoo Lady grant her the power to come back in the world of the living in her ghost form. She says she can't wait to be known as "Morgan LeFlay, Ghost Pirate Hunter".

I hope you're kidding about the first on-screen death... I could list a gazillion (spoilers) including one that happened earlier in this very episode (/spoilers)

You are right, actually it's the second. [spoilers] Morgans doesn't count, we didn't see her actually be harmed. We just saw her on the edge of death. But I guess De-Singe does count as we saw him fall into a fan :/ [/spoilers]

But other than the ghosts in SOMI which where already dead, most deaths happen off screen.

It's not the first on-screen death. If you played Secret of Monkey Island (MI1), if you stayed at the bottom of the water for more than 10min, you'd die since Guybrush can only hold his breath for exactly 10min.

@thevoodoosailor I think he meant where we actually saw the person be killed. Morgan died on screen but was stabbed off screen.

Did anyone else jaw literally drop when they first saw this scene or was it just me? :P
