I saw this in the Free Trade Hall in Manchester,now a bloody Radison Hotel...One of the best concerts i have ever been to....Looking at some of todays music i wonder were it all went wrong ?

Excellent!. This is such a great rendition, tour and album. It's Too Late to Stop Now is one of the best live albums ever. Performing live can be the finest expression of a musical artist and his craft, and this is Van at the top. It's Too Late to Stop Now never strays far from my CD player. This is a treasure!

This is just about the best version of the Avenue that I've ever heard. It's great to see how much fun the band were having (like the Cellist laughing when Van misses a line about 3 and a half minutes in). And I love the babby (that's a Birmingham phrase) with the tambourine... anyone who doesn't get goosebumps at the finale (when the band come in after "It's too late to stop now") really hasn't got a clue about music.
