you should not put a filter to the aquarium. because it can stress fish, betta fish live in calm waters

@ophjung Can Ghost Shrimp tolerate AQUARIUM salt? I follow the rule of 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons, and the tank I am getting is 3 gallons, so 3/5 of a tablespoon. Is this okay?

I also read that ghost shrimp are sensitive to water changes. How can you make sure the ghost shrimp will not die from stress or whatever? Please respond, and thank you.

Trust me the shrimp.die soon. Idky my betta did not even touch him. When I put the shrimp in my betta got sick and died 2 months later. Now the shrimps are food to my 50.gallon goldie tank

@superrrbadchickadee ghost shrimp will most likely do fine. neon tetras should be kept in groups of 6 or more because they are schooling fish. so if you have enough space in your tank then go for it

you should be fine just using a standard water conditioner like tetraAqua water conditioner. And they will do well with other fish as long as they have a good safe spot. and no other male bettas of course

Just so if you were ever thinking about upgrading your tanks at all or getting any more bettas- the male betta splendens can grow up to 2.75 inches and the females 2 inches and as an ideal ratio to have happy fish you should be looking at only 1inch of fish to every gallon of water...

@caiocrz I have a female betta in a 5 gallon with 2 ghost shrimp and they seem to get along fine... most of the time lol sometimes she likes to look at them and I think they get annoyed because she gets too close and touches their antennas. Then they throw some means looks at each other then swim away... lol
