I miss KLOL. I agree with the mexican music comment...big time. I wake up and turn on the radio that fateful morning to hear Big Pun playing where Walton and Johnson would be. Sorry ass rock scene in H-town. I really miss Stevens and Pruett and the Boner...that was the morning shows of all morning shows.
I don't mind it co-existing... I can always tune past anything I don't like. There isn't much in Houston to listen to now. Why would Clear Channel Communications just change format to the ICON of Houston rock radio after more than 30 years is beyond me. Thankfully there is satellite radio and mp3 players to listen to what I want and when I want.

L.A. still has their legendary Rock Station, which is 95.5 KLOS, its one of the very few Album Rock stations left in the country.

CC no longer owns K L O L. That station along with Mix 96 5 now belongs to CBS.

No, KLOL is now Mega 101, still owned by Clear Channel. Mix 96.5 is KHMX, which is now owned by CBS Radio.
