If your amp is low volume, but the gain is maxed out, and you put your guitar next to your amp, you're going to get feedback regardless of your volume levels. Of course, this is metal, so the louder, the better ;)

The song doesn't have a good progression, and stays the same the whole time. I like metal. I like Enslaved, Mayhem, Emperor, Shining etc. Those bands is evolving in an unique direction the whole time, making music for themselves. Slayer seems to stay unchanged ("true"), and does only make music for their fans.

Tom Araya has a really unique voice in metal, he doesnt get enough credit for it. Its not melodic like James Hetfield, but then its also not snarling and guttural like Barney Greenway of Napalm death or any of those shitty black metal bands like gorgoroth or whatever.

The closest voice I can find, the one that comes closest to Tom Araya's style is Lou Koller, the singer of the hardcore punk band Sick of it All. They sound very similar and both bands have been around 30 years.
